I have been here several times and brought a good friend here for first time for his birthday today. The service is always friendly and fun and the food is delicious! Apparently this is Mobiles best kept secret because I only found it a couple years ago and only live two miles away. Do not hesitate to try it!

Very delicious food! Waitress was super sweet and efficient! Food severed veryy fast ! Over all experience was Great! Definitely recommend stopping by and trying it out for yourself! It is also very affordable if you are wanting real sit down tacos!

I tend to judge a Mexican restaurant by the quality and taste of their salsa that they bring with the free chips. It has a great taste but is a bit too spicy for me.
I enjoyed the taco, enchilada, beans and rice combo and also ordered the tamale. The tamale was too spicy for me to eat. It's great that they offer both the American and Latino style of tacos.

The staff were efficient and friendly. There is a typical decor. This restaurant offers a private group room.

I have previously had the chicken fajitas and found them nicely cooked and presented.

This restaurant is located behind the Taco Bell in Tillman's Corner and is not open on Mondays.

Pros: Costumer service was great. The salsa had good flavor and a bit of spice. Cheese dip was also really good. Husband got fajitas and the peppers were unbelievably tender and again flavor. Kiddo ate her whole plate with zero compliments. Her sweet tea came in a little pitcher about 1/2 gal of tea.

Cons: chips were very hard, margaritas were green and sweet. I tried the carnitas, zero flavored and smothered in sauteed onions. Soft tortillas were pretty chewy. Sour cream wasnt cold at all.

All in all decent place would try them again based on customer service alone.

Chicken fajitas were very good. I got them without tomatoes & had plenty of chicken. Sweet tea comes in a small pitcher so no need to call for refills.

Food and service good. Got Pitcher of Margarita. Mix from a bottle. no alcohol that you could taste cost $18.00 left half. Not good. Should have got a beer. My fault we were traveling saw on line was close to hotel.

You get what you pay for and you won’t regret it !! Don’t talk back to the waitress I think shell fight you and win without a doubt. If you don’t leave with a full stomach and a smile there’s something wrong with you.

This place is just amazing. I finally decided to eat here after passing by it for many, many years and that was an amazing decision on my part. The food is exquisite and the staff are the friendliest you can get. That, alongside an amazing vibe makes this one of my favorite restaurants around here.

The building isn't fancy, but the food & the service are very good!The prices are very reasonable. I treated my son & daughter-in-law & my 4 grandkids to dinner there for their anniversary, plus myself. We had a feast, & the total was only $150.00. That is a super good price for 3 adults and 4 almost grown kids!! I highly recommend Amelia'a.......

The staff and owners were so accommodating for our party of 50 plus. We did let them know in advance the date and time. Our family met there after a celebration of life service. This is one of the best kept secret Mexican Restaurants in Mobile. Food and margaritas are great.

Paid the bill to be respectful sent all the food back. It was terrible. Was charged $1,50 for water. My 4 year old ate some of his quesidillia and has been puking all night.

Traditional Mexican restaurant.
Some paint might help, the fixtures and furnishings are tired, but the menu is extensive and the service is amazing!!! They know how to hire staff !

Disappointed. I haven't been there since it was El Toro & it was a huge disappointment. The meat was rubbery and the overall taste was bland. Customer service was horrible. Never again.

Me and my friend came to visit on Sunday. Everything that went wrong happened to her. She was on her lunch break and pressed for time and she made note of that to the waitress. She ordered the a Dr.Pepper (it was flat)and chimichanga with shrimp when the food arrived her order was wrong. They gave her beef chimichanga instead. By the time they got done with her order and correcting it it was time for her to go. It took away longer than it should have. The waitress did not do anything to compensate for the mistake. She STILL had to pay for her meal even though she didn't get to eat . They told her there was nothing they could do. I'm in food service, also and when a mistake is made I make sure to rectify it. They made no effort here. My food was great and correct but because of the way she was treated, I won't be back.

I have to change my 5 star to a one star now because the last three times we’ve been here the food and service has definitely declined.
All I wanted for Mother’s Day was to have a nice dinner and margaritas (on the rocks)
The margaritas were absolutely disgusting, and usually they’re delicious. I KNEW something was different so I asked what happened and was told that the owner only had one pack of mix and just used that instead of going to get another pack or at least making the recipe correctly it made it almost unbearable, we had to ask for limes to make it drinkable at all.
Our server was awful- she NEVER checked on us, not once! I had to flag a different server several times and she was very helpful.
Our food was cold, my corn tortillas were literally falling apart.
I’ve recommended this place so many times and now I have to warn everyone to never go here. And it makes me sad cause this was my absolute favorite Mexican restaurant.

This place is amazing. It’s like a little amazing secret not many know about. All of the food we have tried is absolutely delicious! Service is always great and tonight, the blonde lady that waited on us was the by far the best service we have had. You will not be disappointed their food. Very reasonable prices. Salsa, rice and beans are what we initially judge on and all of them are amazing.

It was awful. We called ahead and they said they could accommodate our group. They took us to a dirty room. We had to help set up and deliver chips. The waiter complained to us that the other waitress stole his tips. He also said he had to have tips in cash not to be put on the card. My kids didn't get ANY food. The waiter said we didn't order them food. Gave food to the wrong person and wasn't going to get the other person a replacement because HE gave it to the wrong person. They ran out of margaritas.

This place deserves 0 stars but since I have to leave at least 1 star. The only good thing about this place was the lady I spoke to on the phone being friendly. This food is inedible the owner passed it off to a server I assume. Worst food I've ever tasted as 1 bite was all I could stomach

My wife and me and my son Had lunch there Sunday the 21st We had the worst experience there When we got our meal I knew there was something wrong My wife Got Hard shell tacos They was so greasy They were soggy My son got soft shell tacos And they was Dripping with grease And I got a burrito And it tasted kind of funny But I ate it. When the waitress came and over Asked us if everything was okay I told her It was not She walked off Then she came back with the bill and put it on the table and walked away But we paid for it anyway And after that no more than an hour I started feeling bad we've been sick ever since and this is Monday afternoonWe will never eat there again.One more thingWe saw roaches after we was leaving

We ate here tonight, with our friends who are visiting out of country, thought it would be a good little hole in the hall to show them, but needless to say we will never eat here again and absolutely disgusted for the rest of the night. As we get done eating, and the waitress takes our bills, a TINY ROACH appears on the napkin. That was it, absolutely sickening to see that. We asked for the manager and she said “she’s on vacation come back Sunday”, as if nobody on the shift was in charge. We would’ve never paid if we had seen it before, nor ate there. And mind you she saw the bug, and said “oh okay”. Not I am sorry, no refund, nothing. I will be contacting this incident to the health board also.

I've been to this restaurant previously with no problems this time I went back and it seemed nothing was done right the red sauce for the enchiladas was thick and pasty and just put on top of the enchiladas when normally it's a poopy consistency and it's real all over my enchiladas running off on the plate and even the house salsa that's given free with chips it didn't taste right something didn't taste right somebody's in there cooking Mexican food that does not know how to cook Mexican food very disappointed previously it was excellent I don't know if it's changed management hands ownership or what but it's not going to last long

THE BEST MEXICAN FOOD IN MOBILE!!! They also serve BBQ on the weekends(per the owner). My husband had steak and chicken tacos and I had the chimichanga(DELICIOUS)! They have a Mexican pizza that will blow your mind. We didn't order that but saw it at another table! 🤯🤯 Amelia's is amazing, the environment is very nice and you can't go wrong with their food! Seriously, try it!

Lunchtime Dogfood. I ordered a ground beef chimichanga that had the consistency of canned dogged food and the taste was not any better. Luckily I had ordered cheese dip so I actually got something that I could eat while my companion ate her steak chimichanga that she said was palatable at best but was too hungry not to eat it. $ 40 later and we will definitely never go back

A family favorite. We've eaten there many times. Food is always delicious. A favorite is the grilled fish and/or shrimp smothered in white cheese sauce with Mexican rice. The last time I substituted Mexican salad for the rice which was terrible. I will not order the salad again. But, everything else is delicious. Their food is authentic Mexican food with a variety of options to choose from.

Chicken wings were very good. Queso with jalapeno didn't really get much of the jalapeno flavor. Shrimp cocktail had lots of shrimp. The only complaint, a large party with lots of children were seated by us. They were loud and not particularly well behaved. We had ordered a drink, once this party came in it was forgotten. I finally went in search of our waitress, requested cancel of drink and please bring the bill. She was apologetic.
