I had a deeply disappointing experience at the Chipotle on Airport Blvd in Mobile, Alabama. As someone who has regularly patronized this chain, I’ve noticed portion sizes have decreased, but what I experienced during my visit was beyond unacceptable.
The employee serving the food scooped a spoonful of chicken with the portioning utensil (possibly called a perforated food serving spoon) and then proceeded to shake the spoon multiple times, reducing the serving to a pitiful few cubes of chicken that barely covered the middle of the utensil. This level of portioning is both insulting and unreasonable, especially when customers are paying full price for these meals.
As if that wasn’t frustrating enough, when I requested fajitas, I was told they were unavailable because they are “reserved for online orders only.” This policy is absurd. I took the time to leave my home and physically patronize your establishment, only to be told I was a lower priority than online customers. This left me feeling like my effort to support the brick-and-mortar location was completely devalued.
It’s outrageous for a customer to be treated like an afterthought simply because they chose to dine in person. The message sent by this experience is clear: convenience for your staff and online orders outweighs the satisfaction and experience of loyal, in-store patrons.
I didn’t raise the issue further at the time because I understand it was close to closing, and I sympathize with wanting to end a shift, but this behavior and policy are unacceptable. I left angry, hungry, and questioning if I’ll ever come back. Chipotle should prioritize its paying customers, regardless of how they place their orders. This experience was a disgrace to the standards Chipotle is supposed to uphold.

I just went to this location and working in the food industry myself can I tell you how great the crew at 1:50pm did! They were speedy, super sweet and friendly, and working together! They probably do not realize how good of a job they are actually doing. I wanted give them some recognition for the encounter I just had today. Even the employee
in the dining room filling up the napkins was nice! Overall the best experience I've had at a chipotle. Was not a big interaction but was very impactful!!!

I arrived a few minutes before my order was supposed to be ready, and I went to the restroom where there was pee all over the floor and smelt absolutely disgusting. Then came out and waited for my food. I saw it being made and then they stopped working on it and it didn't get done until a few minutes after the pick up time. But they never brought it to the pick up area so I waiting next to the register and it took almost 10 minutes for them to ask and get my food in a bag and give to me. I got out to the car and started eating and the food was completely cold by then. I would NOT recommend this Chipotle to ANYONE.

For fast food when I'm in a good mood, I wouldn't go out of my way now, but yeah... Don't let them skimp you on serving size. Not all bowls are created equal and if you don't stick up for yourself then expect a smaller bowl. I remember the good days when one large tortilla wasn't enough on my burritos! If there was more competition then you would get better food. After thoughts I'd change my rating to 12/15 stars.

We ordered ahead, got there at 840pm and store was destroyed. 4 workers no customers- our food hadnt been started even though it should have already been done. They came to me -10 mins late and said they didn’t have steak or fajitas or most of our requests. The store had not been cleaned at all. When I told the guy working I wanted to cancel my order because of lack of food and conditions of food that I could see he got upset and said “imagine if we were fully staffed what we could do.” I’m not so sure this store should be open in the condition it and the food was in when I got there. Truly disgusting and disappointing.

I recently visited Chipotle Mexican Grill and have mixed feelings about my experience. On the positive side, the food is absolutely excellent. I especially appreciate the vegetarian options, which are flavorful and well-prepared.
However, the service leaves much to be desired. The staff consistently exhibits rude behavior, lacking basic customer service skills like greeting, smiling, or providing helpful answers. On one occasion, I asked the general manager (Monique)which drinks contain sugar, and she responded with an unhelpful “I don’t know” and a dismissive attitude. Additionally, when I requested only bell peppers due to my dietary restrictions, I was met with resistance despite having this request accommodated in the past.
This poor service isn’t isolated to one location; I’ve experienced it at multiple Chipotle branches. After sharing my experience on social media, I found that many others have had similar issues. It’s disappointing because providing friendly and helpful service costs nothing, yet it can significantly enhance the dining experience.
I hope Chipotle addresses these service issues, as it tarnishes the enjoyment of their otherwise excellent food.

I ordered online through the Chipotle App and they marked the order as fulfilled but it wasn’t. They kept taking in-person orders and making them ahead of mine. The employees clearly do not care about customer service. The app and phone number were useless. I’d go anywhere over this location again.

Ignore all the dipshits whining about some worker not bowing down to them. My partner needed dietary accommodations, which meant we had to very awkwardly ask the employee to not use the same gloves that he’d previously touched dairy with, and he gladly did so. Food was great, people were nice. However, this may be due to me not being a grumpy boomer obsessed with policing service workers.

Last few times ive been, the staff were extremely rude and disrespectful to me. Im vegan and they had steak in the beans. When I brought up the matter they had an attitude. They also used the meat spatula for the beans, cross contaminating the plant based food with meat. Highly unprofessional, also this location is really bad at hiring. The seem to consistently hire disrespectful employees. Lastly when i asked for fajitas veggies they refused and said its only for online when there was only 45 min left till closing . Chipotle needs to fix that online ordeal its very dumb.

I eat here often. The food is always amazing, but sometimes the facility is short staffed. The workers are always polite and you can tell they’re doing the best they can. But I always received great service even though there may be a wait.

Every time my family comes here they are rude . Management thinks it’s ok to talk down on people and hang a phone up when you start to talk to them the way they talk to you. Double charge people’s debit card and don’t ever give a receipt. I will never come to this store again. I will go to shillingers and airport to do my buisness. You try and tell them rice is hard about to break a tooth the manager talks down on you but scrapes the hard rice out the sides of the rice holder. This place is a joke.

I got food poisoning from this location on May 24th. I had vomiting and severe diarrhea from the food on the morning and whole day of May 25th, 2024 and still have diarrhea today may 28th. This has cost me loss of wages from taking off work and etc. I would like to speak with a manager asap.

Alexis/ Alexa (if that’s her real name) does not need to work there! Horrible & rude customer service! She has no empathy even if it’s right in her face! My family came in for a quick snack on my birthday. The 1st lady that helped them was nice & friendly! When she came. No greeting, and asked what did I want. I told her the same as them. She barely put any meat in my bowl!! I said I’m sorry can I get the same amount of meat as them & she looked at my bowl & their bowl & said it’s supposed to be 4oz. & that’s what I gave you! I worked in the food industry as well & if anything she gave me 2 oz & said I’ll give you another scoop but I’ll charge you double… I said no thanks.. So Just know I’ll never come back to any of your establishments & I’m going to post all the unfair pics re; the difference in meat I received Vs the rest of my family (which btw already looked old!!) Even her co-worker was looking like uhhh.. She also insulted her co worker by saying she must have gave them too much then! I know The real fact of the matter was she had to come from the back (I saw her attitude) because the line started to grow, so she started skimping beginning with me like I wouldn’t notice! You guy’s used to be good in CA I’m not sure where things went wrong in AL. This is definitely an experience I’ll never forget Chipotle!! Be careful, if that wasn’t a family member.. I would I felt discriminated against to say the least!

I was at this location 1month plus ago the so call manager was very rude and insulting.
I quote her words after letting her know my order was incorrect she said," your going to buy and eat this food,"my response was so you're going to tell me what I eating she replied yes, then one of the other employees walked up beside her ask I was speak to her and said," your going to have to leave what an experience. I used to do Moe's until I discovered Chipotle. The last few times I've been to Chipotle, they never have their full menu. We went in tonight at 7 p.m. They had 3 hours left to be open and only had pork and tofu for proteins, and nobody was cooking. The grills weren't going at all. No Fajita veggies, no green salsa. I'm done with this place. It's back to Moe's I go. You can't be a restaurant if you don't have food.

Food was ok but not Chipotle quality I usually expect and receive. Pico was not fresh, looked like it had been frozen. At 6pm on a Fri eve they were out of several meats (seriously one of the busiest times and you are out of main ingredients.) Restaurant was not clean. However 5 people stood behind the counter, so it can't be a staffing shortage. Due to the fact that there was no line at such an expectedly busy time, I can only assume that the locals have figured that this is not the place to go.

I've been in here twice, and both times the staff has acted like I'm interrupting them by coming in. Their friendliness could use improvement. My steak bowl was delicious. I have been to Chipotles around the eastern and south Eastern United States. This is the WORST chipotle I've ever visited. How can the grill person not have HALF THE HOT ITEMS on the line when you literally work right in front of them??? I have to keep reminding myself that most times this is a reflection of whoever the shift manager is, and the shift manager around 5:30pm on 12/26/23 showed no consideration for the cleanliness, good quality, or hospitality toward us customers. I know the food industry can be difficult, but to pass by an overflowing trashcan and not ask any of the crew to change out ALL the overflowing trash cans in the dining area shows the level of urgency and care this person has. I use to work for Chipotle before ecoli and after, helped open 3 stores and I can honestly say the atmosphere and level of pride we had in our work was tremendously different. What a shame this is what its come to.

I travel for my career and I dont like handing out one stars, but this was the worst chipotle ive ever been to as far as eastern United States. They were out of everything except chicken first off no guac no veggies no cheese nothing. The employees were ignoring customers to the point people were saying excuse me loudly to get an employee to take an order. The place was gross. I know Chipotle has rush hour and can get hectic but as slow as the workers were moving the was no urgency for anything. All the Bins were completely overfull and the juice drink machine had mold growing on it.

This location has always been hit or miss, learning more towards misses. In the past I feel like their staff is never prepared with enough food for when they run out of anything. But I like their food so I am always open to coming here if I'm in the area craving Chipotle.
However today we had a terrible experience at the expense of my wife and her medical condition that requires extra precaution to make her food.
My wife has Celiac Disease, where anything with Gluten (found in wheat flour aka regular flour, among other things) makes her severely ill for days or weeks, and can send her to the hospital.
Unfortunately, this makes eating out very difficult, as gluten is found in almost EVERYTHING prepared in restaurants/fast food. Soy sauce, seasonings, french fries made in the same fryer that anything floured or breaded goes into. Shared kitchen utensils that make contact with anything containing Gluten contaminates food as well.
Chipotle has a reputation for being very accommodating and knowledgeable about this. Their flour tortillas are the only thing there that we should have to avoid. We order bowls.
The only point of contact with gluten is when serving utensils make contact with a tortilla, and then the same utensil is placed back into the tub of meat/beans/rice/etc. Those ingredients are now cross contaminated with gluten. The gloves that touch the tortilla are also contaminated with gluten, so when they reach into the cheese and lettuce, now those are also unsafe.
We always have to ask the person making our order at Chipotle to change their gloves, use a freshly cleaned serving utensil, and to get the ingredients from their extra supply of cooked meat/rice/beans, etc. in the back of the kitchen. This backup/extra supply should be untouched and safe for them to serve us.
It's never comfortable to ask, and it feels like it is inconveniencing the staff, and customers in line behind us. But it is the only way for my wife to be sure she can have a meal that won't make her sick for days to come. It gets VERY tiring having to prep and eat every single meal at home. People take for granted the opportunity to be able to get food on the go. On a day of busy errands and you didn't get a chance to eat yet; or perhaps it's dinner time and you won't have time to make dinner for the family at home. Especially around the holidays, getting food while out is a lifesaver. My wife doesn't have that option. She can get the fries at Chic Fil A because they're made in a separate fryer from everything else.
The only other place we have been able to get her food is the Chipotle at Westwood Plaza (Schillinger and Airport). They have always been accommodating and helpful when asking for these difficult requests. Sometimes there is confusion, but they grab a Manager, who is able to guide the others through the process.
None of the staff there knew what we were asking about, and never was the manager called over to try to help. The person who I assume was the manager was within earshot of the whole thing, and never intervened as my wife struggled to ask to the others if they could help us like the other Chipotle has. Nobody cared to help and my wife and I had to leave, embarrassed and defeated.

I have eaten at Chipotle across the country. Love the brand. Driving across country I stopped at this specific location in Mobile AL. This specific location is garbage. Unfriendly to customers and each other. Three people working while three stood around. No smiles, no hello, ZERO courtesy. Asada was cold and chips were stale. This location represents the company very poorly.

So don't go here if you want a quesadilla and haven't ordered it online. I know its a Sunday night but there were was not a long line and I was told that I had to order it online. So what would've been the difference in me asking for one in the store vs via the app? Like a whole 2 minutes? I don't know that just seems strange to me........ Won't be going back there again.

The workers are horrible !!! Not friendly!! The kitchen & everything else was AMESS!! I was in line 15mins ! 1 server , 1 cashier 1 kitchen person 1 stocker ! The server gave me 2 pcs of meat I asked for a little more then they charged me extra for a little more meat not even a hand full !! They were out of vegetables & medium sauce & I got the bottom of the rice that was left!! Real customer service would have accommodated the customer being they were out of a lot of what I wanted & the line was moving really slow! THAT WASNT THE CASE!! Time to pay the cashier walked around 10 mins before checking me out not to mention she had the online orders line backed up as well didn’t apologize for the wait just gave me my total to pay ! I never come to this location this is my 2nd time & I won’t be back until they get better customer service , clean up & get some order!!

Fraudulent charges. Will charge your card twice and not do anything about it. Don’t use card when coming here & on top of it some of the workers are rude and incompetent.

I eat at this location often good customer service despite being very slow with service. Today definitely will be my last time at this location. A male came from the back and put on gloves, but felt the need to grab a piece of chicken and eat it. He then proceeded to cut the chicken up with the same gloves that touched his mouth. This exactly why ppl get sick eating at restaurants and don't know why just disgusting l just left.

Terrible service. Scimp me on just about every item on my burrito, that lady had no problem, closing that burrito. And I didn’t get any chips either! I paid $10!! Went in with my friend and both ordered burritos. The amount of meat was atrocious. They said we only do one scoop but the other worker doing mobile ordering was doing two. The scoops also were very little. The meat was flavorless and it was like I was eating vegetable soup. Just rice beans and veggies with very little meat. Do not go here if you want a good portion. The people that work here hate their jobs, have zero customer service and have terrible attitudes. Every single time. Small portions like it's coming our of their pocket while they roll their eyes and give a bad attitude while spooning the tiniest amount of food on your bowl. Very messy and dirty working areas. The food tastes like it should most of the time but their attitudes and treatment make it a dread to come here, its not just one time its consistent all the time. On top of how long it takes because they move so slow like they hate their life it takes soooo long for them to make a bowl or burrito literally dramatically exaggerating every step and move they make so make sure you have time to spare. Everything you say seems like it really really puts them out, and just being there ordering food is like ruining their life. Worst chipotle location I've ever experienced. Needs a complete turn over with staff.

I don’t know why they play games with the guacamole at this store, but the last 3x they won’t serve me guac, yet they have guac for the phone orders. And they are rude about it, saying they can’t take from that side. It’s 2’ away, give me a break. Maybe it’s bc I’m white. Their loss. I will never visit this location again. They burn their chicken all too often, they are stingy making small burritos, and they play games with the guac. Done with them

This location does not know the meaning of fast and friendly service! On August 27th, I entered the store, there were no service works in the front of this store location. There were four people patiently waiting and wondering were the staff could possibly be. The service line was filthy and did not have any fresh items available. They were only TWO individuals working around 5:00 pm. It took 38 minutes to receive my order. I will never visit this location again. Horrific experience!

This is the most poorly ran Chipotle restaurant I have ever been to. I have never seen it clean inside. The tables and floors are disgusting as well as the drink staion and the prep line where they make the food! The staff overall is so unpleasnt accross the board. No one greets you, there's no eye contact or smiles and the attitudes are just horrible! Manager included! Recently we went in around 8:55p (They close at 10) and they were out of black beans, fajita veggies, brown rice and hot salsa. I had to ask the employee if she would please go get more hot salsa. She was scraping the bottom of the container and it was clear that going to get more was a big inconvenience for her. The stove was completely off and the employees had it broken down to clean it as if they were clsoing. This is not the first time I've gone to this location and they were out of multiple items WEL Lbefore closing. It actually seems as though they are not out of the items so much as they just refuse to make/ prep anymore which is ridiculous. On one occasion they did not allow me to purchsae chips because the ones they had were "for online orders only" and again, they refused to make more. I could write three more paragrpahs about my poor experiences at this location but I will refrain. We go back there becuase it is the only chipotle near us and because of the lack of non-meat options in this town. Otherwise I'd never step foot in that place again. I truly hope corporate sends someone to that location to whip it into shape. It is deplorable.

So I was about to start a diet recently and I was thinking to myself what would be my last meal before I start my diet I was planning on ordering it and when I realized that I did not want to order Chipotle because every time I order and get the food delivered it's always s*** it is literally the driest stuff that could possibly give me is never right it's always old and I don't mean the drive to get to me I mean they are literally giving me the corner of the hot tray. But when I go there and order food it's not like that you guys need to really treat all your customers fairly even those who order online. Because right now I am literally not ordering my last meal before my diet from you because of the trash I have been receiving. I will order again and hopefully my order will be the same level as if I went into the store if so I will update my review.

Employees not very helpful. Waited in line for a mobile pickup order and when it was my turn after waiting in line (mobile order was not at pickup station like the app said) she just pointed down the line to another employee. The first employee couldn’t have just grabbed the Mobile order bag and hand it to me? Chipotle can do better.

I've been here before while travelling at its opening time and had an amazing experience in all categories. But just came in again and employees were not welcoming at all and seemed frustrated, food (meat & rice) was dry & not very fresh (despite being peak dinnertime), and it didn't look tidy or clean. Not pleased with my visit, but hope the next one is better... :(

The employees all look like they hate being there. The area where they keep the food is so dirty and the lady who wrapped my burrito definitely didn't know what she was doing. Aside from not wrapping properly, the foil she used was disgusting with food all over yet she continued to put my burrito in it and hand it to me along with a long blonde hair on it. I was truly disgusted!

When I say the staff here doesn't greet their customers is an unfortunate fact. As a dasher I was ignored I came in to pick up and got skipped past 3 times. No one Saud anything. I asked if someone was working and she continued to take another guy's order before acknowledging I was there before him. Then she handed another guy his food with a smile and put my order on the counter only saying the name. The worst part is the staff is all black and instead of being a lot more welcoming, they treated the two white men with respect. I have never felt so much disgrace in a moment at my race. I help people every day, saving lives on top of doing a side hustle dashing. I live to serve all my patients no matter what they look like. I get talked to crazy on a daily basis, but they can't help it it's the job. However this experience has been the worst feeling coming to pick up an order for a customer at this location, needless to get its not the first time I'm just tired of it now. Chipotle is a great place but today sucked at this moment. Do better.

I love the food however the service needs improvement. The staff is young and everyone has that " I don't want to be here" attitude. I was extremely courteous thinking I would get a different reaction, and didn't. I spoke, said thank you and have a nice day and got nothing in return. This place could really generate a lot of business, but the lack of customer service will eventually harm the business.

My husband and I used to frequent this restaurant at least once or twice a week. They never have large bags of chips made. They will open two bags of chips that have already been packaged, dump one bag, and a portion of the other onto a scale weigh it to make a large bag of chips. Multiple visits I saw this happen. That is too much handling of edibles. Plus, every time they are exposed to air is a risk of the chips getting stale. That has happened as well. Just make a couple of large bags of chips, please. It can't be that hard. Plus, my husband got a bowl. The young lady fixing his bowl gave him a full spoon of each of the toppings that he ordered Brown rice, etc, but when she got to the protein, she gave him less then a half spoon. When he asked what that was, she asked if he wanted to pay for extra. He stated no I just want what Im paying for." I should have taken a picture. You wouldn't have even believed it until you saw it, no exaggeration. It looked like some added 1 table spoon 🥄 🤣, plus she rushed trying to hurry and push the food down the line until she was making a mess until we almost left it there and told them to keep it. This restaurant has really gone down since the 1st year, are two when they 1st opened. Now we may only visit once or twice a year.

2 stars strictly because up until yesterday I had no issue with this location. Manager in the evening 5/9/23 was awful. I mobile ordered as I always do, and I had to come back. I didn’t receive a side for my bowl. I wanted green salsa but got roasted corn. I was gonna eat the bowl anyway, but the rice was undercooked!
Manager was cool with making me a new bowl, but he gave me grief over guacamole. He wanted me to pay for the guacamole again! How does that make sense? Another $2.65?? Absolutely not. Guac at Chipotle is already overpriced. He made it a big ordeal. It was ridiculous, stressful, and unnecessary. He should not be a supervisor. I won’t be back here to say the least.

Service was horrible. Started out with asking for a dressing and told there weren’t any left(there was) out of chips and pico as well. Asked my wife while she finished ordering her food if she wanted to eat here or go home and was interrupted by the cashier with a ‘we close in 30 minuets’ and put lids on our food without asking. Dining area was filthy as well but with how the staff treats guests I’m not surprised they don’t take care of the restaurant.

It was dirty, and the service was extremely slow. We were in line waiting to order for 10 minutes before one of the workers got around to us. There wasn't anyone ahead of us they were just slow. Then, they ran out of chicken after making my bowl, which then sat on the counter while we waited for them to make more. Even with freshly made chicken, by the time we were able to sit down with our food, it was room temperature at best.

The food was ok. The workers were nice. But the "I'm assuming manager or shift leader" is a bully that is mean to her staff and customers. No need for that.
