Chipotle Mexican Grill

Wife and I went to lunch yesterday around 1:20ish, we were excited because we don’t often eat out. We have never tried chipotle before, Hurd nothing but good things. But unfortunately,
I didn’t eat it all so I took it to go, I sat down to eat it today, and found a fingernail, like a long acrylic nail in the rice. I can positively say, we want be trusting this company any time soon, nor will our family and friends. And it’s sad because, it seemed to be a great spot. Hope the health department does a better job of protecting the community!
Unfortunately, I didn’t get a picture of the Fingernail, before my wife tossed it in the trash.
*Edited to say, we called the location, just to be hung up on twice, and once a girl said to call corporate or come in and talk to her personally that she don’t want to be bothered, that there wasn’t nothing she could do, since we didn’t find it while in the store!

You never know what you’re going to get here in terms of your food, but you can definitely assume you’re going to get a ton of rice and a teaspoon of meat. People are tired of spending their hard earned money for a teaspoon of meat. Spreading a teaspoon of meat from end to end is not creating an illusion of more meat. Training your workers this practice of going to cost you customers. I definitely left dissatisfied.

Staff will let the line go out the door vs having a system in place to take care of online orders and in house customers. Be ready to spend 15 minutes waiting on the staff to acknowledge you to start making your order while they just continue to make online in front of you. This place needs a new system because this has happened literally 5 times. Go to a different chipotle. The one on schillenger is pretty good.

!!DO NOT ONLINE ORDER!! They will put far less ingredients in. They don’t feel the need to actually give you enough ingredients if you online order because you can’t watch them make it. Seriously not going back until they give me what I pay for in my burritos.

This place is a sad reflection on where service, atmosphere, and pride in what you do goes to die. The dining area was filthy with tables covered in dried food, and crumbs. The ice wasn’t working. So a round of room temperature drinks for my family. Ordered a salad, and no utensils. When I asked I was told, “don’t have no control of that.” So I’m supposed to eat it with my hands? People vaping in the line and dining area. It was just gross. I would never go back here again. I hope the health department checks in on them soon. Trash cans overflowing and food all over the prep counter. Asked to speak to a manager and were told, “Reggie will come up when he’s done. “
I’m not sure what Reggie was busy doing? But he never did come up. As we left that restaurant, it just dawned on me, if I wanted to take my family to eat at a truckstop for dinner I just would’ve stayed on the interstate. They would be cleaner than this chipotle dining room.

My sister and I made a pick up order and were very underwhelmed with our food. The chips were stale, the queso was more like a flour based cheese sauce, no description on online menu. The rice had cilantro and lime, not described on menu. The burrito was extremely salty, the tortilla was tough, the chicken was low quality. I’m not a picky eater and neither of us finished our food. Waste of $17.

I'm literally still in the parking lot writting this review, and if I could give this restaurant no stars I would. There was absolutely no one dining in the restaurant and no one in the line but most of the food on the line was next to empty and the food station was filthy. I asked who the shift lead / manager was thinking that maybe the crew members were exhibiting bad behavior while he or she was away, but to my surprise she was walking around while one of the line workers was standing in the corner on on the the line on his phone as if he had nothing better to do. It appears that you have to ask for double meat to get at least 3 oz of protein. I will never dine at this filthy restaurant again...thanks for ruining a once decent dining experience!

Definitely worst chipotle I’ve been to. They lied that the vinaigrette was in my takeout bag, and when I clarified it wasn’t in my order and I would like an additional one, they said oh we haven’t made it yet. So it was never in there to begin with…

Dear management, your employees walk around like zombies. The shift manager was checking the temperature of the grill while the line was to the door, I was next in line but no one was making food, no one greeted me or acknowledged I was a human being AT ALL. I saw multiple customers walk out after waitimg and seeing how SLOW the workers were walking around. No napkins available, no forks no hope... And it's crazy to come a whole hour before they close and staff flat out refuses to cook any more chips, queso, corn or black beans. So I had no choice but to go across the street to Moe's. If you run out of ingredients an hour before closing... consistently, there's obviously an issue with how much is being pre-made.

This place is disgusting and the employees don’t care about anything. When you say what you want they just throw it down and half of the time it’s barely any food. There was a huge backup in the pickup order line and the staff were just taking their time with everything and some were even on their phone. Horrible atmosphere and terrible service.

i have had Chipotle a few different times but over the last half year I've gone across the street to Moe's because everything is better.. the atmosphere, service, food, and quantity. Went to Chipotle around 7pm and they were out of veggies, steak, and chips. all employees seemed as if they were high and lazy or on their first few shjfts at that job. I do not recommend this chipotle. I ordered last night after taking a long break from eating there and I could not enjoy it, they forgot half of my toppings on my salad, and they never put any lettuce in it? I received a rice bowl with very little lettuce, which I could’ve forgave if it was good or if anything else I ordered was on there. Overall it was a very disappointing experience that has entirely put me off chipotle.

I got a bowl small cheese dip and small guac. The bar looked empty and dried out. That's my fault I guess. Why should I EVER expect fresh food. 20 dollars later, I would expect better food AND service.. The food was extremely cold nobody would finish my order I waited there until finally somebody asked what I was waiting on, I said my queso. Apparently the kid that took my order was too good to get it so she asked someone else to do it. was nobody in line and there was a employee that was hanging all over the counter where the food is it was a horrible experience very unprofessional and I will not ever be back.. Chipotle needs to train their employees how to treat customers. The health department 100 percent needs to be contacted!! After all, garbage does belong in the trash. And that's exactly where it is.

I used to really like this place. Now, the dining room stays filthy, they're always out of food with no one cooking. It doesn't matter what time of day. Employees just stand around. Taco Mama just opened a new location a block away from me. Good luck trying to get me back in your store.

Placed an online order a couple days ago. Today I was eating my leftovers when I took a bite into something very hard and almost broke my teeth… it was a big metal bolt. I went into the store and requested to speak to the manager whose name was Reggie. He would not come out of the back to speak to me and instead had one of the employees Savanna to talk to me. She was very nice and apologetic. She said her manager offered a free bowl or other food item. I DONT WANT FOOD THAT HAD METAL IN IT! We agreed on a refund and that was it. I’m very disappointed in chipotle and will not be returning. It won’t let me attach the picture to the review but I did add it to their google photos.

The last few times I have gone, they were out of everything and it was 8pm. There was food everywhere. It wasn't clean. I left and a few others did as well. I went down to the one on airport and as they ran out of food they were restocking. They were busy but efficient. And most important, they were cleaning up as they messed up. When you have an open kitchen, we see everything. I will probably not be going back to this location and I live 5minutes away. I will drive a few extra minutes for a better dining experience.

I understand they were busy when I first got there but there was a span of a few minutes when no one else was in the store after the rush. I went and asked about my order and the girl making the food as slowly as she could said she was “working on it” in the most rude way possible. It was my first time visiting my hometown, Chipotle. A great experience I took a date, we dined in, I ordered a modelo, had a great conversation to boot. We really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was delicious. I was very satisfied as was she. I would recommend the Mobtown, AL location for lunch or dinner

Our last few experiences with this restaurant have been awful. They are always out of things around early dinner time. How is it that each time we have came to visit they are out of a lot of things they should have restocked after lunch or throughout the day? They never have the veggies and this last time they were out of that and the pico. All the employees seem to always have an attitude and never reasonable with the amount of food they give you. Lunch time may be fine but between the hours of 5pm and 7pm, you can forget about them having half the stuff for your order.

I frequent this chipotle often and have always had a pleasant experience and good outcome with food. As the woman was ringing me up at the register I asked if they had kids cups and she offered me water cups instead. I proceeded to get some of them lemonade and a woman at the to go station yelled at me from across the way indicating that I had water cups. I let her know that I asked for kids cups and was given water cups. She checked with the woman at the register then went back to her station shaking her head and saying things under her breath. No apology or anything for yelling at me and being corrected. Maybe they should make kids cups to avoid this? Or educate a bit on customer service and staying at one’s station to avoid confusion.

I placed an order on uber eats and the food I received was awful. It cost $20 for one burrito that was TINY! The entire thing was gone in 4 bites. Usually when I order inside the burritos are a decent size but this one was so small. Do not order online.

They made my bowl completely wrong (online pickup order) but I understand mistakes happen. I was given a free bowl in return so I am pleased with the customer service. The meat always seems to be fatty or have bits of hard gristle in it. But they did fix it by offering a free replacement so thank you chipotle

The place inside brought memory of high school cafeteria. However, the seating outside was pleasant.
The food was nothing like the commercial. It was cold and dry.
The servers were pleasant .
Overall it was a disappointing experience for me. As many Mexican restaurants as we have in Mobile, it won't be one of my choices in the future.

I came in yesterday and got a bowl of steak and pulled pork with rice and beans. The the pulled pork was a huge piece of fat and the steak was barely in there. But not only that I paid extra for chips that were stale! I couldn't even eat them. Along with the bowl the huge piece of fat was disgusting. Service was normal not blaming them but they need to do better on the food if I'm paying near 20 bucks with no drink. Also didn't have any salsa for the chips! Like really?

Horrible service, was told they didn’t have lettuce, then someone was bringing out a fresh container of lettuce as I saw it they said it was for online orders. Then they decided to let me have some for a salad since I saw the fresh container. This was the second time in a row visiting chipotle and they didn’t have sautéed veggies also. It will atleast be a while before I consider giving them another chance.

First time @ Chipotle a/o this review. Not a great 1st impression. MESSY - kitchen/food prep area AND dining area. You'd think that, with all the health & outbreak scandals Chipotle has had in recent years, Chipotle would be on point with the hygiene at their franchises. But naw. Food tasted good, staff were polite, but it might be a minute before I check out Chipotle again just off the hygiene alone.

The lady ringing us up was a pain. She had an attitude the whole time. When my boyfriend asked me if I wanted chips, she was quick to say with an attitude that they were out. And she didn't even bother giving us utensils to eat with. Not even a napkin, either. The only person that was great was the woman that made our bowls.

I ordered a Bowl and burrito
I was supposed to get chicken Al pastor but I only got regular chicken cause they were out of regular chicken I asked for black beans , rice ,pinto beans , fajitas peppers and lettuce in my bowl I didn’t get either I only got corn cheese tomatoes cheese and chicken and sour cream And I’m my burrito the burrito was horribly wrapped and had most of the toppings missing also and the person who did the burrito knows they messed up the burrito cause they just threw another burrito wrap over it , me and my fiancé took pictures and on top of that food is not fresh at all . Whoever worked on august 4th 2023 at chipotle on airport on night shift need to fix customers food right , we pay good money to eat there and it comes like this ?

I do not understand what the associates behind the counter had going on, but I was appalled and a bit taken aback by how I was treated for picking up an order for my significant other who can not drive. There is absolutely no reason to take your anger out on a complete stranger regardless of what you have going on. Passive aggression towards a customer is just as unprofessional as outward aggression. Don't waste your time with this place.

The food was lukewarm, the dining area looked trashy, and the people working there need etiquette training. The cell phones can wait.

Hire folks that actually want to work, not the folks who want to sit on their behinds and do nothing other than milk the clock.

This is the worst chipotle I’ve ever eaten from. The food never seems fresh, food over cooked or old, rice undercooked and hard and lettuce smells sour. So nasty. All three times I have ordered food from here I have had the same issue. These employees do NOT meet chipotle standards, if they did the food wouldn’t consistently be horrible at this ONE location. Do better, hire people who care.

When I took my son in there for our weekly mom/son “date” lunch there was plenty of rice, but everything else was so low. Instead of saying, hang on ma’am while we stock the bar for you they waited until we were done. We got plenty of rice in our bowl, in fact, that’s mostly all we got, and hardly anything on top. We didn’t even get a spoon full of steak (the main part). I said something to the lady making my bowl and she was the most unfriendly and unprofessional person I’ve ever encountered and needs to be in a kitchen where she’s NOT dealing with the public.
We were highly disappointed and will not be back! Would not recommend this place!

The service here is always below average but today I was extremely uncomfortable with how hostile the woman who made my food made me feel. She was on her phone for a while before she even acknowledged me and when she finally did she was so angry? She was slamming things and cursing the entire time she took my order and didn’t actually talk to me a single time. I love chipotle. One of my favorite places to eat but the service here keeps getting worse and worse.

Something was just off about our food today. Chips were stale, queso tasted watered down¿ (strange), and my food just tasted different compared to how it usually is.

Got to this location at opening. It was very clean and neat. We were served promptly, and they filled the bowls! The service was excellent!

I’m actually DISGUSTED by the behavior of theses employees I ask them to remake my order because they got it wrong nicely and I was never given my food or refund and the manger was just rude and had no decorum never again

Ordered a burrito and chips and queso got none of it. Instead got a bowl of corn and rice . Won't be ordering from this place again. Moes across the street is better anyway.

My burrito was the size of my palm at this location. and they missed the chicken in my burrito lol. i tried to call and no answer of course. tried to put an issue on the app and nothing came out of texting a robot. 👍🏼

Prices higher than normal while portion sizes are tiny compared to normal

The food was not "that" bad. It was just way overpriced for 2 people for lunch for what we had. It was $44 for 2 tacos & 2 drinks. It's just pricey, and neither one of us could finish our meal, so we brought it home to eat later, but when we'd tried to, it was soggy and not edible. It felt like a such a waste of a lot of money.

You have to catch them at the right time, if you want what you are going there for. The last 3 of 5 times, they have been out of what I was going there to eat. They also could do a better job of keeping the tables cleaned off for the next wave of customers. You always have 6+ people behind the counter, and have to search for a clean, wiped off table or just wipe it down yourself

No better time than the first and last. On sep18 the staff was very laxidasical. They had just begun making the quacamole so that wasn't available. Great marketing as this did not meet my expectations in commercials.

Usually, I love coming to this chipotle but today I had a difficult time understanding how I paid 30 dollars when the quantity of food I was given was worth half of that price. I believe there was a new employee who prepared my order. I am definitely dissatisfied.

This time they were out of guacamole. Last time I was there they were out of lettuce. The 2 times before that they were out of money..... the food still tastes great but I just wish they were a little bit more consistent in having what they need

No cashier, tables were all filthy and the front line was dirty and not stocked.
I understand the labor shortages, but the employees were all in their phones and one guy had ear buds in as he prepared food

The worst chipotle. They are ALWAYS out of stuff. Clearly bad management. Also, very expensive considering you don’t even get everything they offer because they never have anything in stock.

Updating from 2 stars to 1 star a year or so later. The prices are still increasing and they can’t seem to keep basic food items
in stock for several weeks at a time. I probably eat here once a week and I couldn’t point out a single manager and I’ve been coming to this location for years. The owner is clearly asleep at the wheel here.
Just go to Moe’s southwest if you’re looking for a burrito/bowl— it’s cheaper, the staff are friendlier, they keep items in stock, and it’s just across the street.
