Hacienda San Miguel: House of Tequila

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Mobile. They were able to accommodate a large party in less than 10 min of waiting. The food was delicious. The servers Matthew and Chris were great. They were able to keep up with everyone and ALL orders! Awesome place to dine whether big or small party.

The food came out cold. There are broken tabletops; one fell over near my wife, but she wasn't injured. Several of the seats are covered with mold across from the bar. 95% of the staff are hanging out on their cellphones inside those huts on the dining floor. The management seemed disengaged, looking off into the distance.

Great Mexican restaurant not far from the Mobile airport. Very tasty frozen original margarita. Delicious chimichanga, refried beans, and rice. Service was exceptional. We had a party of five, and our server didn't miss a beat.

Although my date was crap , I enjoyed the food . I judge Mexican food by the flavor of the hamburger meat , then the crispiness of the shells.... And they definitely have the good stuff .

Great atmosphere and decor, very old world Mexico! Good food, although I prefer Tex Mex so had to add some raw onions, but overall tasty and fast. We had a group of 15 and got our food rather quickly. I would come here again.

I took my kiddo to her 15th birthday dinner here. Awesome food, they sang to her in spanish and for 5 bucks she got to keep the hat. She had an awesome time. Our waiter was great not to pushy but kept us with drinks and any thing we needed. It was an awesome time and i will be going back.

This location on Schillingers Rd in Mobile, AL, is my preferred location.
Can't get any better than this one. Wonderful staff, clean inside and out. Employees are so respectful and caring.

The place is in an excellent location. It has a lot of parking. It is a clean place and the staff is attentive. Meals come out very quickly. The carne asada was delicious in flavor. Soups can get better.

The only reason that the atmosphere didn't get 5 stars is bc of the Friday night singers...they are entirely too loud, which made it very difficult to carry on a conversation with my wife...I don't need serenading whilst I eat...let us eat in peace please and remove the "singers"...(in say that term loosely, bc let's face facts, they couldn't really song that well)

Our server Cloey was beyond amazing tonight, showing equal attention to myself as well as my wife, neither of us ever had to garner her attention as she checked in frequently, all while managing her other tables with the same level of care and attention...so 5 stars to her for her excellence in service...

Literally sat at the bar for a total of 15 minutes got a beer and no menu, salsa or anything. The bar tender saw me but just blew me off. Asked for the manager and waited forever to state my concern and yeah place has got to crap over the years.

Ok I want to start by saying I'm a Mexican food snob. From California and we have the best Mexican restaurants. Needless to say I usually don't bother since I have been here. But I had time and way out of my normal area.
I came across this restaurant and thought ...why not.

First the authentic nature of the decor made me feel like I was in Mexico. The music, everything perfect. My server, Emily was fantastic! Great smile and greeting.
Listened to my food allergies and made the proper arrangements with the chef.

The food! First more than I could possibly eat. Which I love because who doesn't love a bargain during these inflation times. So not only did I get lunch. I have take home for dinner. 😊

Mainly you have to eat here. If you are not a food of Mexican, eat here and you will be. 😊👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎉

We had a horrible experience with the service, we were charged wrong, went to the manager to get the discrepancy resolved and he was very rude and made it worse. Awful date night, we will not be back, and will have to wait 3-5 business days to get the discrepancy fixed with the bank.

NOT GOOD. My wife is mexican and from Arizona, so we decided to come and try it out. Lemme tell you its nowhere near good mexican food. My fajitas didn't even come out sizzling. The waiter walked up to give our food, and I was immediately worried, I didn't hear my food - bc usually fajitas come out sizzling. Nah, not these sad looking fajitas. The chicken and vegetables were not even charred a teeny tiny bit. The mexican rice doesn't even have traces of tomato, that would give it the red/orange color. OMG and the salsa is so bad. It's basically tomato paste. Swear it tastes like picante with some Cilantro in it. My wife had the Barbacoa tacos, highly do not recommend. She only ate one taco bc the barbacoa has a weird after taste. And the prices are RIDICULOUS - like why are they charging so much for just LUNCH. We got 2 lunch combos and a small queso and spent $50 without tip. Thats just wild with how gross the food was. It was just all over the worst "mexican" restaurant to eat at. Definitely not coming back!!!

Deja was a phenomenal waitress & the 3 hostesses up front were AMAZING!!! Our 1 year old was being fussy & was tired of sitting down. They asked to grab her and played with her up front for a few minutes while it was slow in the restaurant. We go to San Miguel’s frequently and will recommend every👏🏼single👏🏼time!!!

I travel across the United States trying different Mexican Restaurants. This place sucked. Food was okay little pricy. However, service at the bar was horrible. Empty glasses and dirty dishes in front of me. Bartender didn’t do anything.

Also, served a beer with a bug floating in the mug.

The food was fine. The Hostes wasn't very hospitable and the server didn't want to give the kids their cents part of their change, even though gratuity was added to their ticket. I WILL NOT be returning anytime in the near future.

We visited your restaraunt Sunday after church. Our server was Gabby C. She did an awesome job for our large party. We had refills promptly and all our orders were hot and delicious. We had a wobbly table and she fixed it quickly. Great job team. Can't wait to visit again when we come over from Mississippi.

I had the mexican dinner with beef taco, which was good, chicken enchilada with shredded chicken the wasn't so great and taco soup with lots of funny tasting avocados. My server was good and while I liked the place overall I was disappointed. I liked their chips and salsa.

I took my friend and had a great experience! Our waiter, Anthony, made us feel at home from the moment we sat down. We both had a great meal! I liked the beautiful and colorful decorations.

Usualmente mi familia y yo viajamos cerca del lugar de donde vivimos con tal de poder encontrar un lugar donde comer que nos recuerde la comida mexicana, sin embargo el probar esta comida nos dejo muy decepcionados, el sabor era insipido, no estaba muy bien condimentada, su sabor era simple, cabe destacar que la presentación de los platillos es muy buena y el mesero que nos tocó fue muy amable y el restaurante es muy bello. Espero que mejoren el sabor de sus platillos.

Change the music!! The Mexican Hip Hop listening demographic has to be extremely small. Just after getting our chips 'n salsa I was ready to leave because of the music. Service and food was very good.

This place is an older place, I've been going here for over 10 years, and after the most recent visit you can see the aging of the place and the menu items though a mild variety could use a shake up. Service was ok I mean we got tended to, and got food, and then the check and some to go boxes, but maybe because we went for lunch it was just dumbed down. I've been for lunch and dinner in the past and it was pretty good, but seems that age has caught up with this place and maybe need to revamp.

The food was delicious, and the atmosphere was amazing! The staff were the friendliest people and did fantastic to give a wonderful experience (not only to us but everyone in the restaurant). I will highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. David, the manager, went around tables making sure all customers in the restaurant were well taken care of. You're not just getting a meal; you're getting a genuine experience (a taste of Mexico with exceptional service).

The authentic Mexican food is wonderful. The inside of the restaurant is beautiful and if it's sunny outside they have umbrellas inside that they will open so the sun is not shining on you. Wonderful staff but of course you come for the food and it's all delicious. The Lunch menu is quite reasonable.

Love that I can take my dog onto the patio. There is nothing special about the food, I mean it's good but not great. The first time I had this place years ago, I really loved it, but this time I didn't. Maybe it was just an off day. I'll have to revisit to be sure

My husband and I visited this restaurant for our 37th year wedding anniversary. We received great customer service when we walked in. Our waiter was awesome! She even took a picture for us and recommended a drink for me that I loved! The food was delicious! The area we sat in wasn't too clean, and trash was on the floor. If our area was cleaner, they would definitely have five stars across!

We just moved to the area from Texas and decided to order our staple of steak chimichangas.The refried beans were really good and flavorful and the rice was nicely cooked. However, the chimi wasn't seasoned at all-not sure if this is how chimis are made in Alabama?The steak itself was tender but not really any flavor.
The chips were a good thickness and the salsa had a bit of a bite to it.
Ambiance was nice-lights at a good level, not too dark.Bright colors cute decor.
Service was a bit spotty, they didn't ask us if we'd like any more chips or water with our margaritas and didn't check on us as much as I would think given they weren't very busy and it was early-ish still.
All in all, we'd probably come back but try something else on the menu.

The food is good. they get incredibly busy at peak hours, so it can be 20-40 minutes in between the server stopping by your table. Also, the live music is incredibly loud, and we usually get seated right in front of the stage even when asking to be placed away from them or outside.

Usually really good service, but last night was different, waitress never gave us a refill. Usually great service, as we left we saw her in the back of the restaurant smoking and on the phone. Food was good, and a great atmosphere!
