Rio Méxican Restaurant

Always good food here. The service was off this time but I won’t be too harsh because we had a party of 12 with two infants in addition. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I had one regular beef taco and one al pastor street taco, both fresh and delicious. Fajitas looked amazing, always like to see and hear them sizzling. It’s a nicely decorated place with friendly staff, consistently a good experience for us. Parking is fine, it can get a little crowded during peak times. I would definitely recommend Rio and they are always willing and able to accommodate larger parties.

We went in the off-hours. Was pretty good, cheese dip was a little spicy. Fries, quesadillas and chorizo dip were great. The Caldo de Pollo was my favorite- really delicious and fresh. The house margaritas could use some work but overall still five stars.

Just read the New menus very thoroughly. . Because I use to always get the fajitas mixed (shrimp,steak and chicken) for 15.99..but now you can do shrimp and chicken or chicken and steak, for 15.99,but all 3 is 22.99.. anyways other than that the atmosphere and food was good! And service was fine, just wish they would of came back to refill and also explain the add on charge instead of saying it was too much of hastle to walk to tell us that :/.

A good mexican restaurant. I ordered 3 tacos. They had tomatoes, which I forgot to ask for none, but those were easy to take off. The tacos were extremely delicious. My family went here and they all said it was good, except for my grandpa, which said "It's ok." The chips and dip were good too. I got the cheese dip, and it tasted good. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for mexican food.

They're is always something missing from our order whether it's on the phone or via doordash. Called to get the cheese dip and sour cream they didn't put in the bag refunded and they wouldn't do it unless we brought in all the food. We live half an hour away. Won't ever order from here again.

It seems like the few times I’ve been here. It gets worse and worse. Every time everyone is on their cell phones I guess the manager or owner whoever he is doesn’t care my waitress, constantly scratching playing with her nose I mean talk about unsanitary and the time between us getting our food and my wife getting her food was like 15 minutes and they’re dead so that’s unacceptable, and then I look over and then the cookies playing on her cell phone to talk about unsanitary and wonder why the foods not showing up like it supposed to I mean it’s no wonder the food is mediocre
Check with $63 there is no reason for the food to be mediocre and the service and the time it took to be where it is

I give this place a 15/10
My family is Mexican and i am from Texas so high expectations and they exceeded them. I'm a queso snob lol if it's not going I'm not going. Theirs is really good good consistency but to the important part, the good and drinks lol i went twice. First time i had their flautas they're AUTHENTIC flautas. I love authentic food. And the second time i had their torta probly the best torta i have ever had. 20/10 recommended. Also try their Paloma. Ps my husband is a taco snob he loves them. And good prices!

They have amazing food and great prices!! A real gem in the city!! Happened upon this restaurant while having my car serviced at Firestone next door actually two years ago. Walked next door with my daughter to get lunch while waiting and having been going back ever since! The amount of food your get for the price is great and the quality and taste is awesome!! Give it a try won’t be disappointed!!

Absolutely terrible experience. Eating dinner with my mom and dog out on the porch ordered our food normally. We normally eat here about three times a month and never had a bad experience until today. Manager comes out and accuses us of yelling at the waitress. He said the waitress is really sensitive. We did nothing of the sort. Do not eat at this restaurant

Excellent food all around. My favorite place to get tacos. The meat is properly seasoned and delicious. Always seated fast. The staff watches you from afar and intuitively knows when you are ready to order. Our food is always ready in 15 minutes or less no matter how busy they are. The staff is great too. Very friendly!!!. Definitely recommend.

Awful experience.. slow slow slow .. the servers spent more time on their cell phones than doin their job . Drinks forgotten , wrong orders , table never cleaned off , my street tacos were dry and with flour instead of corn tortillas , limes were great though .. worst part of all this , is the fact I live out of state and was here on a surprise visit for my sister's birthday ...

Overall good experience. Good servers, food was good. Salsa was delicious, sopapillas were amazing and flaky, beef enchiladas good amount of meat, rice dry as it should be, refried beans were delicious but a tad soupy, asada street tacos were a bit salty but very good, tender meat. I would definitely eat here again.

1st time I've ever been disappointed w/Rio Mexican Restaurant.. Ordered grilled chicken quesadilla, w/a separate order of grilled peppers + onions ON THE SIDE , plus, 1 medium frozen margarita.
Here's what I rec'd:
the quesadilla: not much chicken or cheese AT ALL, a few grilled onions + peppers on the quesadilla (I'm guessing to fill it up) and the margarita.
They apologized that the onions + peppers were put on the quesadilla. I told them I still wanted a separate order of grilled onions + peppers.
They came back w/a separate order of EACH. 1 order of grilled onions and 1 order of grilled peppers...that were salted WAY too much...
PLUS, they charged me for 2-separate side orders, even tho they got the order wrong.
GEEEZE!!!...and for this small order it was around $25 BEFORE Tip.
May not ever go back!

this is the hardest spot to be in to brag about how good or just say that's its ok.
So here gos the people in side the restaurant were friendly the menu's a very good one.
the prices are on par not to expensive so I ordered my meals got home and we sat down to eat. the meals were so good that we wanted more so the next day I went back and ordered what my wife had and I got the mine I am not telling you what we got get what you want....you wont go wrong....

Be careful ordering food to go from here, you will most likely be very disappointed. Spent over $30 only to get half the food that was expected. Ordered a chicken quesadilla and beef nacho fries, both were not done correctly and very small portion size (very little chicken in the chicken quesadilla).Dull flavor, small portions, and overpriced.

We were seated and received salsa but the waitress didn't come ask for drink or food orders. Another couple sat behind us and she came and asked them. They were nit busy and I'm disappointed because we have been there several times. I was too tired to leave.

First time here and the building is a decent size but we ended up sitting outside just because. It wasn't by any means busy when we got there and it took our server forever to take our drink order then bring us our drinks, then come back for our food order, then we had to ask another server to get us refills and our serve brought them to us after we asked the other server and she never came back to give us our check luckily,who I assume was the manager was pushing tables together outside was able to get it for us. The food was nice the service just ruined the experience.

Normally, this place has decent food, but I was actually offended to receive this. It was not presentable nor was it worth the money. I could have expected better food from McDonald’s. It was labeled as a guacamole salad; however, I was brought a plate that seemed to lack a salad. I wish more care and consideration was taken because frankly, looking at it, I wanted to run away.

I never come here by my own suggestion, it's always someone else's idea and for good reason. This time was especially poor. Service is okay. Never had a bad server. Food on the other hand was sub par for a decent Mexican restaurant. I always get a chimichanga. Steak was dry and oversalted in it. The actual shell was tough and stale. Same for my girlfriend and friends who all got Ala Carte Quesadillas. All dry and tough. All said they're not suggesting it ever again. Sad, because the wait staff tends to be so nice.

Wow! Can I just say excellent food and beyond excellent service. We have tried over 5 Mexican restaurants in the area and none can beat this place. Food was seasoned very well, nice size portions, and beans and rice were fresh. Owner was super nice and the young girl that waited on us was very nice as well. We went in about 30 minutes before they closed and they welcomed us and didn't make it feel like we were an inconvenience. Our new favorite Mexican, we will definitely be back. They also have a super diverse menu with birria tacos and the newer stuff the young people are into.

It was freezing in the restaurant. We asked three times for the heat to be turned on. The thermostat said it was 58.deg. The waitress said the manager wasn't there and they couldn't unlock it to turn it on. After asking to speak to the manager. They finally turned it on. And before leaving it reached 60. We had a party of ten and most of them said they will not come back

Have ordered from here since they opened this store. Food was always good until the queso cheese being used either past its expiration or leftover from previous days and being included in to go orders in the past few months. Today, we ordered takeout and the white queso cheese was a yellow color and thick. The previous time we received bad cheese it was chunky, and this cheese has never been yellow or chunky before. It also had a bad taste. Not sure we will ever eat here again. Gave it 2 stars only because the other food was still good.

Their food is great when they correctly make it. But don't get your hopes up. This two stars is directed at the consistency that they mess up every to go order, or waitr order I've ever made. Ordered at least 4 times a month for several months and just dealt with the mess ups because I enjoyed the food. Finally got tired of it and gave up on them. Decided to try them again tonight after a couple months ; ordered messed up yet again. That was my last attempt.

While the service was fine and the wait staff was nice, the food was underwhelming. If you are one that looks forward to a family friendly restaurant that serves you bottomless chips and salsa, while drinking your Margherita; this IS the place for you! If you're looking for food that even vaguely resembles authentic Mexican cuisine, go elsewhere.
Good service, large and bland portions, and a family friendly atmosphere.

5 stats normally but last night we were almost invisible to the people working there. I will say the girl who was supposed to bring us chips and salsa went above and beyond. Staff roll their eyes when arriving at 9pm and did not want to sit us. They closed at 10p. We left out of fear of someone spitting or doing something to our food out of anger. This decision made based on servers behavior.
