Taco Mama - Midtown Mobile

All around a great experience at Taco Mama. First time coming to this location and hands down the best customer service I’ve had in a long time. Had 6 in our group and had plenty of room at the table. Menu was full of great choices and prices were perfect. Definitely wish we had a location closer to home! Will be back for sure!

While visiting family in Mobile, we decided stop here for lunch after driving around for quite some time trying to decide what to eat. We definitely made a great decision! We looked at the menu online before going inside so we'd know what to expect. We kind of expected the typical Mexican-inspired fast casual food, but we were pleasantly surprised. The food was really good, fresh, and more than filling. The chips are fried fresh and pair well with the bowl menu options. I also tried the sangria margarita, which was great! We have already discussed which menu items we'll try when we return to Mobile again.

Passing by Mobile, we needed a place to grab lunch. Based on the reviews, we picked this place, and it was a total hit! Thank you, everyone! All the ingredients were fresh, and the proteins were well prepared and tested delicious, we got steak on a bowl, shrimp on a salad, pork in a burrito, and ground beef in tacos. The sauces were nice, from spicy to mild. Ambiance is casula, and the weather was so nice that they opened one of their garage doors!

What an awesome Tex-Mex place! From the great staff to the tasty food, it’s a wonderful meal. It’s an order-at-counter place, and they bring the food to you. I will definitely go again!

I love Taco Mama's take on great food, fast with friendly - helpful service.
The outdoor seating was really nice (Oct.) The atmosphere was a great mixture of fast paced service with a laid back vibes.
Love the street corn flavors - just not the corn is my only complaint.

Jose Jalapeno was a Refreshing drink, would go back just for it.

It was my first time so maybe it was a bad day. I am admittedly picky when it comes to Tacos. I found these lacking and cold. But it just may have been a bad day.
Give them a try yourself. Fun atmosphere and Jose Jalapeno 💚

The food is expensive for what it is. I personally think it's cheaper to make at home. Not to mention I've had my order be completely wrong and they had refused to remake it. I would rather make it all at home

Ordered the nachos with chicken. There was a lot of chicken and it was seasoned well. The extras to add was extensive. All the waiters and waitresses were top notch!

Good service, and food. Their employees greet you at thr door and appreciate you as their customer. It goes a long way. We don't have to come their or return but we do because they are good at what they do. Overall a good experience each time we have went and highly recommended.

All of the food is sooooooo freaking good!!!!If you like Margaritas, then believe me this is the best place. Trust me if you wanna you won't regret it. If you haven't been or aren't goin,,,, your loss.

Ordered what I order every time I come, nachos and margarita pitcher. Nearly $50. Not an issue. When it came to my margarita pitcher, it was soo sour... Took it to get fixed.. I guess they tried idk new girl working and I wasn't gunna argue with the guy cuz I'm really not trying to be that guy but come on. Train the girl some other time not making pitchers. Especially mine. It's whatever tho I just want it to be known.

I got rear-ended on the way to pick up the food (totally not their fault) and they graciously remade all the orders for myself and my coworkers. I didn't eat in but it's a cute place with good music that's fun but not too loud and outside seating. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Food is delicious. I will definitely recommend and eat here myself again.

Better than I expected! Even though this restaurant has been here a while, we had not tried it till now. We expected something very commercial, however, we were pleasantly surprised. We had the Steak and Chorizo Tacos. We added cilantro, onions, and cheese. Very much like street tacos. The chorizo refried beans were very good and I don't normally like the beans. Loved sitting in the cool open doors with the beautiful sun coming in. Service was very friendly and attentive. Good little spot to hit for lunch.

Such a disappointment, to start off the service and atmosphere was good but the food was not good at all. I order the soft corn barbacoa tacos and they were a disappointment, there was the tiniest amount of meat and the toppings were even worst. I probably would of gotten a better taco from Taco Bell for the money I paid. I will never return to this place again.

I took my toddler after a long doctors appointment to grab a quick lunch but a big storm started coming down while we waited for our food. We decided to have the food to go before it got worse. Travis used his own umbrella to walk my son and I to our car, held it over us while I buckled the toddler, and then went back inside and delivered our food to the car door! Thank you, Travis! You made this mamas day so much better!

It’s a nice place, the food was nasty though it the burrito tortilla tastes straight out of bag and gets really soggy, they don’t toast it. The green salsa was really good, nice heat to it; and so was the queso, loved it. The burrito was nasty though, very little flavor had to douse in hot sauce

One of my Favorite places in Mobile, Al…Everything is exceptional…The Management, Will and Nick and the team…As soon as you walk in you are greeted immediately and offered a menu..IVE BEEN HERE 6 Times and they never miss…Thank you all for your Consistency in A-1 service and food..As consumers we love to Complain when some is wrong and never commend an establishment when you get it RIGHT! Supporting local businesses and came across this place. Place was absolutely packed and yet I ordered my food immediately and had it in my hands in 5 minutes. I had the ground beef hard tacos and the didn't disappoint. You can create your own or go with a recommendation. Chips were incredibly fresh and queso was top notch! Will be back!

We enjoy eating here when visiting our daughter in Mobile. Service is quick, prices are reasonable, food is good, service is great. When our orders were delivered @ our table, they got my husband's & mine backwards. We did not discover this until I went to eat "my" burrito - by which time my husband had already eaten half of what was actually mine. I was very disappointed because I'm a picky eater & had ordered mine exactly as I would like it. The staff members offered to remake mine so that I would have my entire burrito just as I had ordered. And they were very courteous & pleasant when doing so. We will continue to eat here especially because of the great service! Thank you!

My steak taco was awful,in a to go plate like a puzzle,it was tasteless and dry,no seasoning,just thrown in a box and BAM!! I ordered 2 soft tacos for my sister,she said they were just okay!

I went during lunchtime, it was about 12:35p. When I walked in, I was greeted at the door and asked if I needed a menu to look over as I waited to order. The line to order moved quickly. I ordered a chicken quesadilla. It came with chips and salsa. I also ordered a cup of queso. Food came out quickly and was delicious.

Quirky decor and very friendly staff. I ordered a beef burrito and street corn to go. The wait was maybe 10 min which was quick for the amount of people there. Portions were nice sized and very tasty. The burrito even tasted good the next day as leftovers. I will be coming back to try other things.

We really enjoyed our visit here. The employees were OUTSTANDING! The atmosphere was really nice. The temperature was nice outside and they have garage style doors that open giving you the feeling of being outdoors while inside. I had a Build Your Own Steak Burrito with refried beans, lettuce, a lime type rice, and cheese. I was a little nervous about the rice but it ended up being a very good burrito! We would happily go here again!

This place is definitely worth waiting in line. The margaritas are to die for! Favorite dish there is the nachos. Can’t wait to go back! They have indoor out door seating. Order at the desk then they bring the food to you. Good place to have a get together or even a birthday celebrate.

The food was fantastic, service was killer, and prices were pretty good! Tiana was an excellent help all throughout, since it was my first visit, and she continue to check on us and make sure we were doing alright. The jalapeño margarita was awesome, just would have liked it to be strained. Overall, fantastic restaurant and great people!
