Restaurant was clean. Wait staff was not attentive. Food was ok, but not great. The steak on top of the enchiladas de taqueria Mexico seems like left over came asada that was chopped up and reheated. Steak has a very distinct texture when reheated…so I would say overall you can probably do better. Red and green table sauce were good but not overly tasty. On the pricy side for a taqueria.

Had some solid tacos here on my last visit, but tried the enchiladas today. This is not what you want to order if you’re thinking of gooey, cheesy, Tex Mex enchiladas. The flavor is good, just different than my expectations. Definitely a solid option in the area, with well priced lunch specials.

My bf & I tried this place for the first time today & it was really good. I had birria tacos, he had the California burrito & we shared some queso dip & a beef tongue taco. All very tasty & was more food than we could finish. The sweet tea was excellent, prices were reasonable, our waitress was cool & I really liked all of the art on the walls & furniture. Would recommend for sure.

Really loved coming here after a long weekend of casseroles at family gatherings.

Food was excellent. Ground beef was actually seasoned (not a given at Mexican places) and everything else was well put together.

The more authentic dishes are on the back half of the menu - which I'll be trying next. Don't miss the taco sauces even if you start up front like we did.

Service was great too, prices were fair given the portions. Thank you!

Recently moved to Mobile and were on a mission to find a great Mexican place since we seem to frequent Mexican restaurants more than any others. Found it!! For one, LOTS of Hispanic customers were there, and there’s a tienda inside too (usually good signs the food is authentic which is our preference 90% of the time, sometimes we like American tacos though). By items tried:
Birria tacos- FANTASTIC! Super tender and tasty beef, perfect sauce, tortillas a little doughy, even the rice was amazing.
Bottled sauces- these alone would bring me back again and again.
Taco de asada- perfect! Chopped small, seasoned really well. Onions and cilantro fresh.
Carnitas taco- not impressed by this one, but I’m sensitive with pork. If it’s not cooked very recently, it tastes old to me and this did.
Shredded beef flauta- topped with all the things. The cream and queso fresco on top made me wanna try the corn next time because it was yum. Fresh pico, good beef. Again the tortilla was a little doughy for me.
Tamale! - I’m always on the hunt for authentic, homemade ones which are super rare in restaurants. This one was quite small but very well made. Not a fan of the red sauce and pico on top (pictured) so I’d def get it again but without that stuff. I’d like to try it with mole sauce if they have it.
Looking forward to going back for more sauce and to try more menu items!

We were told that margaritas were 3.50 at the time we were there, so I order one but when we got our receipt when we left there, we found that we were charger 8.50 for the margaritas, so it proved that our lady server was not honest.

Really loved coming here after a long weekend of casseroles at family gatherings.

The more authentic dishes are on the back half of the menu - which I'll be trying next. Don't miss the taco sauces even if you start up front like we did.

Used to come here all the time but took a long break. Been a few times recently and every time food has been amazing but the wait staff are so inattentive they have let me sit there for about half an hour waiting for someone to run my card so I could leave. Eventually had to use their atm to get cash so I could leave it on the table and go. Waited 20 minutes for someone to come take our order after closing menus and setting them down. Seems like they forget you are there.

If you want the most authentic tacos this side of the border , this is the place to go! Best Mexican food in Mobile, hands down. The restaurant is clean and the staff are all very friendly and attentive. When I go, they don't even hand me a menu because my server remembers what I want.

This is my favorite place to eat Mexican food. It’s authentic, affordable and every staff member treats my brother and I like family. They know our usual orders and what we like to drink. I’ve never had a single item that didn’t taste amazing from here and never a bad experience in three years of visiting. When my brother and I text each other “tacos?” we don’t even have to discuss a restaurant- we know we mean Taqueria!

Looks more like a grocery store inside than a restaurant, but don't let that throw you off. The food is incredible. The serving sizes are HUGE. The margaritas are on point, and the customer service is great! We will definitely return on our way back through.

Amazing authentic food!!! The chorizo fumindo was great but you think it’s a cheese dip ask for some queso to add to it. It was so YUMMY! Everything we all had was great; fajitas, street tacos, sampler platter and not the mention the pitcher of jalapeño margaritas!!!
If I’m ever back I’d definitely go back!

The service here is terrible for us. They treated us like we were invisible while serving and checking on other guests' tables, why can't we just come eat an enjoy our day, this is sad how some people act towards another race, I mean it was that bad, The food was great but the waitresses service was very poor. Visited our table twice, Only to take our order and to receive it. Don't go here if you're my race expecting to be treated normal. The noise level was incredibly high, the music is just too loud, if I would've sat outside I probably Never would've received our 🍽

We have endeavored to try different tacos in the area and this place ranks at the top! The parking lot is kind of tight but there was adequate space to park. We were sat immediately and served complimentary chips and salsa! Chips were fresh, warm and just the right amount of crisp. The salsa was delicious! We ordered 6 tacos one of each of the following: asada, chorizo, campechano, cachete, barbacoa, and al pastor all of which were fresh and delicious! Tacos were served with cilantro, onion and radishes. We also had chorizo fundido which was rich with chorizo, cheese and jalapeños. Definitely order the chorizo fundido. The drinks fell towards the bottom of this ranking but still high on our list overall. If you’re looking for authentic tasting Mexican food then definitely stop here!

Great Mexican restaurant with friendly staff and good service. Complimentary chips and salsa with your meal. Pretty fast getting your food out. There is also a grocery store with Mexican food in the same place. The parking lot is a little small but we've always been able to park.

Absolutely love it here. Currently one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in the city, and I've been to many. It's authentic and delicious. Good portion sizes for food, good drinks, and fair prices! I've been multiple times now and brought friends who have all loved it. Some of my favorite choices are the fajita nachos appetizer, the quesadilla birrias, and every margarita/drink I've had.

Had the shrimp chimichanga lunch special. Nice portion for lunch but rather bland. Ordered my young lunch date churros, and they came covered with chocolate sauce.. was disappointed cause I don't care for chocolate, and kiddo had it EVERYWHERE! Most places serve it to the side in a small cup, which was what I was expecting. Now I know I will order it that way. All that said, they were very tasty. I also had a frozen strawberry margarita, and it was DELICIOUS as always.
After lunch, went over to the grocery side and stocked up on favorites and items for my 1st try at making tamales on my own. I really like the convenience and atmosphere of this place but a lot of times the dishes are hit or miss.

This is my go-to place when I'm in the mood for tacos. Very authentic and delicious. The only reason I won't give it five stars is due to their overall score in the front. I hope they're able to get it up in the near future

I have never been to any resturant where you had to purchase condiments to put on your food! I understand having to purchase "extra", but the food was so bland you had to have the condiments to give it some flavor! I'm not talking about guacamole or "extra" condiments... I'm talking about $1.99 for an ounce of sour cream!! Unbelievable!!!

I will never come back here. The pricing is very suspicious, and the food was sub-par. I ordered a burrito ($12.99), two tacos ($2.99ea), and a small drink ($2.99). Somehow, that brought my total to $32.11!!! Either their menu pricing is WAY off, or the take-out cashier stole from me. The receipt I was given was not itemized and only listed the total dollar amount, so there was no way to dispute the charges. The beef in the burrito was extremely dry, tough, and over-seasoned. The other fillings were bland, and the tortilla was either stale or microwaved because it was very dry and crunchy. The carne asada and al pastor tacos were much the same. To say I'm disappointed would be the understatement of the year, and I definitely won't be back.

Enjoyed my lunch. I had the street tacos pastor on flour shells. They were lightly seasoned if you like a lot seasoning you may not like them. We were seated promptly and the service great.
