I recently visited San Marcos after a decade of craving it! I grew up dining here at least twice a week growing up. Their menu has great prices with large food portions. Our server was great too. It made me happy to stroll down memory lane seeing some of the same people still working there!

We often go to San Marcos and decided to stop by today for lunch after mass. My family of four all ate and were very pleased, very happy with the food, for a very fair price.

The staff is always great and I’ve known them for years, as I’ve been eating here since I was a teenager -maybe before. The best value in Montgomery for Tex-Mex cuisine.

Today we ordered off the lunch menu -which we don’t get to encounter often. Quesadillas, tacos, fajitas, delicious chips and salsa and my son especially loves the camarónes a la diabla -a spicy shrimp dish with rice, and avocado salad.

San Marcos is one of our favorite restaurants in Montgomery and we will continue to return for years to come. Highly recommended.

Just moved to Montgomery in October and we were looking for a good Mexican spot and thankfully we found it at San Marco’s. We have gone twice so far and have not been disappointed. The food is hot, fast, fresh, and delish. The staff is always super friendly and helpful. Someone is always waiting to help with anything. The atmosphere is nice, even when they are busy it doesn’t feel crowded. I can’t believe the low prices as well. We have paid more for fast food and received mediocre food. We will continue to come back regularly and support this local business.

My family and I absolutely loved this place! Oscar, as long as everyone else was SUPER amazing for our 9 person table. We had burritos, flautas, platos San marcos, enchiladas, rice and beans. The kids had chicken tenders and fries and that was great as well! We can't wait to go back! Margaritas we're great too!

Well I get the chimichanga. Half way threw it I find a bone in it . I also had a sweet tea and a margarita . As anyone knows , the drinks go with the meal . So I haven’t even finished the drinks . I’m talking about still full to the rim . I don’t get charged for the food but I still get charged for the drinks . I’ve lost my appetite and who’s going to drink that much with nothing to wash down…? So I asked if I could speak to the manager and they denied my request. I never went back .

Very disappointed, my family has been eating here for 15+ years, it’s always been very satisfying the food was always delicious and large portions. We ate there tonight and the first thing we noticed was that there were only about twenty people in there and usually on a Friday night it’s packed. Then when we got our food even the kids noticed that there was a lot less food on the plates. But after we started eating it didn’t matter that much anyway, the food wasn’t flavorful at all Very bland and I even put extra salt and pepper plus hot sauce on mine and it didn’t really help the taste. No one finished what was on our plates and for the first time none of us carried the leftovers home, my son in law even said he didn’t think there dogs would even enjoy it. I’m wondering if they have changed ownership? It had been about three months since we had eaten there so not really sure what the deal was but might not be back, hate to say it but Taco Bell was a better value and a lot more tasty and satisfying. ☹️😥

I am picky about mexican restaurants- very few will I frequent more than once. Both San Marcos locations are always delicious, food is hot, and the employees are nice. We miss Danny but still swing through when in town!

The food was delicious. However, the staff needs to remember that they are not the only ones who may speak & understand Spanish, then govern themselves accordingly. Talking about your patrons is not cute nor funny. Also, the restaurant could use some major interior repair. It's ragged appearance gave me the impression that you don't actually respect or have much regard for us customers. It's as if you literally disdain us even though you have no problem taking our money, hmmm 🤔

Me and my wife went here for a date night. Food is always great but this night I got a burrito grande and ask for no cilantro. When it came to the table there was cilantro everywhere. I kept eating picking out my cilantro putting it on the edge of my plate thinking the waitress would realize it. She realized it and also brought it to the manager's attention but they didn't want to say anything about it unless I did. So versus me saying anything I chose to never return. They are very dishonest people and laughed about it, what little do they know I come there often with more than a party of 6 threes times a month. Now they didn't just lose me they lost those customers also.

This was the WORST Mexican Restaurant I have ever eaten at in my life. I ordered a chili releno and what I received was a little pile of hamburger with cheese on top. I lifted the pile to look for the chili- there was none! Instead, there were two thin slices of green bell pepper. I also ordered a margarita. It was awful!!! It had no lime taste at all. They even took it back to the kitchen to redo and that was all for show. I got the same drink back. Their chips tasted stale as well. I DO NOT recommend this place.

Food was absolutely PERFECT!!! The right seasoning, temperature and overall presentation. The service was excellent 👌. And the best thing, the prices. 4 people ate, and food was more than enough, we only payed $74 for all that food!!! Great spot!!

The fried chips had an unpleasant odor of old, burnt oil, which was quite unappetizing. Concerned that the other food items might have a similar taste, we decided to leave before spending any more money. This was my first and last visit to this establishment. I am genuinely perplexed that anyone would willingly consume such substandard food, although the alcohol may have played a role in their enjoyment. I also tried the margaritas, but they were unfortunately not to my liking. Overall, it was a disappointing experience.

We ordered steak and chicken fajitas. Both plates were mostly onion, and it had no flavor at all. The waitress sucked. This is one of the top 3 worst restaurants. We have been to.

The BEST authentic Mexican restaurant in Montgomery. I went for the first time with my daughter yesterday and it was soooo good! Our waitress Tonya was so sweet and had lots of patience waiting for us to decide what we wanted to eat. Everything we ordered was delicious and fresh. This will be my place for Mexican food.😋

My daughter and I was treated to dinner by a wonderful couple from our church. This was the first time we ever ate here. The food was delicious and seasoned just right. The taco bowls looked beautifully made and the contents were proportioned evenly. We will definitely come back soon.

I grievously report that one of my favorite family restaurants and old college eatery has taken a turn for the utter worse. I have vowed and informed my children who were raised coming here that we are done with San Marco's on Burbank due poor service, rude waiters and a very unwelcoming feeling conveyed by the staff. Success can make people ugly if they let it. San Marco's did and should just put a sign outside no coloreds allowed.

I've eaten here multiple times over a long period. The food and the service is consistent and I always enjoy it a lot. Even though prices have increased just a little recently, the prices are still great for what you get.

Didn't know about this San Marcos location. We tried it for our Friday night out dinner. First I have to acknowledge the salsa and chips. Not all places serve their chips hot and fresh, but these were hot and fresh out of the dryer and perfectly seasoned. The salsa had the perfect amount of heat/spiciness to it. My wife ordered the chicken enchiladas and Steak Mexicana. Bother were great and also perfectly seasoned. Service was quick and very attentive. Great Friday night experience. We will definitely be back with food and service like this!

It’s a no for me. I ordered a to go order and came 25 minutes later and it wasn’t ready. Then they waved at us to to come in and get it and when we got home 5 minutes later the food was ice cold. Also the nachos were a joke just a spoon of beans and cheese and crusty chips.

Horrible customer service from management!! Paper embedded in the cheese on top of the beans. Manager displays a lack of concern and will go back and forth instead of correcting the issue.

This experience was horrible, the drinks were watered down as if the house margaritas were pre-mixed for a large it was 14.25 questioned the manager and was told if I wanted it stronger then more liquor need to be ordered

This is our families taco Tuesday meal. I have never ever had a negative eating experience at this establishment. My youngest son loves shrimp and rice & they do not disappoint. It is a nice environment very kid friendly with an array of delicious delicacies.

I’ve always ate here it’s my favorite spot but after today never again! My wife ordered shrimp nachos and I ordered grilled chicken quesadilla. The waiter was already talking too much to other employees so that was a red flag I ignored. He brought the food my wife order was correct but he gave me a shrimp quesadilla instead of chicken so I sent it back, then he comes out with shredded chicken and cheese quesadilla…still not what I ordered! I ordered a grilled chicken quesadilla it comes with bell peppers onions and tomatoes…i sent it back again! Then I guess the manager comes out after the 3rd time of the order being incorrect, asks me what’s the problem, I tell him and he tells me he will not cook my order again because I may not like it…first off I didn’t even touch the food, I had a taste for grilled chicken quesadilla but they failed me 3 times , that was so rude and dissatisfying! The manager should have came out the first time I will not be visiting again!

This is and has been one of my favorites around my area. They have always and still continue to have some of the best dishes with everything I have tried being delicious . The service is spot on and the Food is off the charts . If your in Montgomery for the day or night its worth a try if you love authentic Mexican food. San Marcos on burbank is the place to go.

Great reviews are justified here! Generous salsa bowl for starters! Lunch chicken burrito was loaded and fresh. Staff is friendly and restaurant and bathrooms are immaculate. Their pride in this restaurant is evident everywhere!
