Met some friends for dinner tonight and was able to walk in and get a table. The service staff were very nice and prompt and checked on our drinks regularly. The food was good and had good size portions. I plan to come back😁

It’s only THE BEST Mexican Restaurant in Montgomery. I’m Brazilian and I wasn’t a fan of Mexican food until I got to SOL. I’ve been going there for almost an year, 2-4 times a week. YES, that much! The pollo loco is a must try. I won’t even start talking about the cheese dip, cause it’s PERFECT! The chips always get to our table warm! The staff is great! The servers are wonderful and if you can, ask for Jack (you won’t regret) he is the best! I simply LOVE this place!

This isn’t Mexican food. This is the shredded cheese and tortilla your little sister made with leftover ingredients microwaved the next day. The salsa was thick, bland, and untextured from lack of fresh vegetables. The queso tasted like melted Kraft singles. I ordered the most basic meal on the menu: a quesadilla and that was equally unpalatable. The picture speaks for itself. This isn’t run by any self-respecting Hispanic or qualified chef.

Was looking for a good Mexican place in Montgomery, and I found it. I had the street tacos and was not disappointed. I had the 2 carnitas and 2 campchenos (chorizo and asada). Wow. They come with a green sauce, a red sauce, some onions, and cilantro all on the side as well as some lime a jalapeño. The portions are larger than I was expecting, I powered through anyway. I could have been happy with 2 or 3. I was really impressed with the flavor and portions. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting the area.

The service and ambiance here is wonderful but the quality and taste of the food here is about as subpar as it gets. I ordered three tacos and the beef tasted like cardboard, as if it was mixed with something unsavory. I was so looking forward to this meal and instead I was totally disappointed.

Very disappointed with the service! I waited a reasonable amount of time for me and the rest of our party to be served. No problem there. The problem started when I was brought what I did not order. This was the kitchen's fault. By the time my correct order was brought to me, the rest of our party had finished eating. I then kindly asked our server if she would ask the manager to give me a complimentary beer for the mistake and the wait. Her response was, "sorry, it doesn't work like that!" I asked her again to please ask the manager. Same response. This is horrible customer service! Here's what she should have done: 1) Appease me and communicate my request to the manager. 2) If the manager said 'no', she should have communicated that to me and offered me a coke or some other soft drink. The fact is, she never came back to my table and I had nothing to drink with my dinner!

I then spoke to the manager and told him the scenario. She never did speak with him! He said he "understood" my issue, but he never offered any type of relief. He and his staff obviously needs training.

Furthermore, their food does not have the flavor that would put them above their competition. And their service certainly places them BELOW their competition!

Not a restaurant I and my friends will ever again patronize!

It's been sometime since I've gone there.
Felt like some tex-mex. Unfortunately on a Wednesday at about 5:30 it was unorganized. I had a to-go order I even gave them a few extra minutes to get it together.
Went to the to-go counter, and waited. No response.
It appeared well staffed. There was a lady in the back who made eye contact with me but didn't come up front.
SO then I went to the hostess stand, and the guy there who looks like a manager who acted like he inherited the position was upset that I asked if the set up was changed and told me to wait and he'd be with me.
Took another few minutes.

I paid a .50 to go fee then they guilt you into tipping on the platform as well. I was dumb enough to tip 2 bucks. But smart enough not to do the 5, 10, or 15 they suggested.
I don't like tipping but up until 2020 I was a good tipper.

It also smells like they have some plumbing problems in the building.
I'm good not going back

Prices have gone up since I visited a while ago but it's still good. Cheese dip is never hot/warm to me. Street tacos were good tonight. Drinks are really strong- if that's your thing you'll love it. Always packed. Ppl are friendly.

This is our favorite spot to go in Montgomery, the food is always amazing (I’m Mexican, and care about authentic Mexican food), the service has always been great, they are attentive, and quick. And the margs are top notch - hands down the best margs in Montgomery. If I had one complaint, they made a custom salsa one day that was probably the best I’ve ever had, but it’s not their norm! Add the extra jalapeño’s y’all! 😂

Wanted a good place to eat with me wife for our anniversary and I was not disappointed! The food was delicious and portion size was not an issue. Be prepared to have an appetite. Service was good and speedy. They checked on you often. I had #50 hard to pernounce , but it was well worth the it. Highly recommended this place.

Seriously good, best I have had outside of San Antonio. Grab the #34, get you a barbacoa taco, and relax. The spice is just right, flavorful, and there was not much left on my plate. Basically, if you haven't found good Mexican anywhere, try here. Worth coming back.

Ate here last night and waitress gave bad service. lied about how much our food was if we didn’t get steak and then charged for price of three meats and then a ticket from another person at the table. One of the managers taped to us about it but never apologized but told us that the waitress was part time so basically even though she been there for years it wasn’t her fault because she’s part time. Then his brother came to get him out of talking to us it was so obvious what he was doing and then that same brother got very rude with us and kicked us out and told us if we knew the menu then we wouldnt have a problem and there are other places to eat and tonight will be our last night eating there. And proceeded to lock the door in our faces after pushing us out of the restaurant and all we could say was wow because that could have been very bad but we had kids with us and was so in shock because these ppl see us a lot so they know us and was still so very unprofessional and just ill mannered all the way around we could t even respond angrily at the moment

We ate here tonight and waitress was bad before we could even finish ordering. She lied about how much our food would cost and ended up double charging my friend for another meal that belonged to someone else. After speaking with one of the managers and he never apologized but told us that the waitress was part time and did not know the menu even though she had been working there since they opened up. His brother came and lied about something being important so that he can get him out of talking with us and then that same brother charged us for another ticket at the end of the night and before we could figure it out he got very rude with us and kicked us out and told us if we knew the menu then we shouldn’t have a problem and there are other places to eat and tonight will be our last night eating there. He threw all of us out of the place and we were all so shocked that this was happening we couldn’t even respond and we had kids with us that had to go through that experience who could not understand why this guy they were used to seeing was being so mean to them. This manager was clearly on some type of drugs because he got very disrespectful out of no where really fast and we are assuming it’s because we did not tip the waitress for her poor service

This is my wife’s favorite place to eat. She is not a woman of favorites so that says a lot. Last night we had the worst experience anyone could ever have in a restaurant. Until this day we have never had a bad experience here and eat here regularly also always inviting so many ppl or recommending them to this place also writing reviews n how great they are and how they used to be affordable. But the price never stopped us from going because staff was always so sweet and food was so good. Well we had a bad server this time who had a nice nasty attitude from the moment we sat down which I figured she was just tired so that may be why she was so impatient. My wife asked about a dish we always get but because it was expensive she wanted to know if the price would be different. Waitress says she would think so because we are only getting two meant so it should be less but aske her twice and even suggested she go and check. She just repeated the same thing and proceeded to place the order. Chicken and steak is $15 if you get chicken steak and shrimp it is $18 so question was if we get chicken and shrimp would that be $15 too. Doesn’t state that in menu. Got bill and of course it was $88 and one of my children did not even get food smh on top of that waitress made a mistake with payment and then gathered her things and was getting ready to leave before even finishing with payment at the table. One of the managers yelled across the restaurant that we still had a open tab at our table we confirmed that it was indeed ours and then as soon as we finished paying and he seen we didn’t tip the waitress his attitude got really crazy as if he was on something. I mean out if no where things were going so smooth. My wife was a little irritated because as I stated this was her favorite restaurant her sister is getting her wedding catered for 150 ppl from this restaurant for next week all because of my wife and they did this to her her feelings were crushed that no one even apologized he just said that the waitress was part time not new but part time and that it was his fault because he had not gone over how the menu works with her. Even my daughter was confused and asked did we do something wrong. He kicked my family and I out of the restaurant like we did something wrong and my kids watched it like we were dogs on the street and told us there are other restaurants in the area and we should try them and this is our last night eating there and proceeded to close and lock the door in our face and all we could say to him was wow really. In total shock because he went from 0-100 really quick and we were not rude or disrespectful or anything we even told the other manger that we understood the girl might have been tired because she looked tired but she always looks that way when we see her. It’s sad that one bad apple will always spoil the bunch and sooner or later this place will be just like the rest. They get a lot of business so they don’t value all of their customers because they figure oh we have so many more we won’t miss you… but money is money and every time we go we spend a little over $100 plus tips plus the ppl we usually bring that’s gratuity this restaurant has made so much money from us I’m almost ashamed. But this just proves they do not care they are just running a business. If you are looking for great food though warfs next door to it is just as good with not even close to the terrible service. Just know if you go to sol and you have a problem expect to get an attitude and the other manager coming to the table to pretend to take his brother or friend away from talking to you and never coming back because they don’t care or value you they just want your money. Restaurants don’t just thrive off of the food they thrive off of the reputation the public without ppl you could not be this successful

This place was great my most favorite spot. I mean I am well known around here and always invite ppl out to this place and tonight was terrible the service was terrible. Waitress lied about the price of the food and then ended up charging more than what was said. Called the manager and while speaking to him his brother came and got him from the table (trying to save him from Convo with me) then when it was time to go the other manager who came to save his brother says oh we have another open tab for another ticket at your table that hasn’t been paid. We gave once card and two tickets waitress charged one ticket and left the other packet her bags and was about to head out the door without even asking was both tickets to be charged or even verifying where the other payment was so we assumed she got the memo and used her common sense . We ended up paying for food twice bill came out to be $88 and the another $33 and manger says oh get a menu because if you knew the menu then you know how the pricing goes and you shouldn’t have a problem. I tell him that’s not how that works I have been coming to you all since y’all opened I know the menu pretty well I just had a simple question and the waitress lied about it and before I could get anything else out he says to me since this is your go to place make this your last place there are other places in the area and tonight is your last night. SMH he was just rude for no reason we just did not tip the waitress because of her attitude and mistakes and once he seen we didn’t tip he got the worst attitude. As soon as I said I didn’t tip because of her pore service that’s when all bets were off with him. All he really had to say was I apologize for your experience and I hope next time we will be better for you all and thank you for dining tonight smh idk what happened tonight but this was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. Let alone my very favorite restaurant. Problem for them though is you don’t even know how much pull the ppl you just pissed off have in this city.

This is an excellent family operated Mexican restaurant. The food and service is always perfect. The shrimp cocktail is definitely a well deserved treat for myself. Enjoy!

I enjoyed lunch at the Dalraida location. It was better than the Pike Road location only because the sautéed mushrooms were moist and had residual butter on the plate. At both locations the food is extremely good. I highly recommend this particular restaurant and I recommend the Pike Road restaurant also.

I enjoyed lunch there this afternoon around 2:00. It was well occupied which is a very good sign of quality. I am always pleased with the food I order, never have had a bad experience. They give you a large bowl of salsa whereas El Jalisco gives you an extremely small bowl of salsa and when you finish that in three minutes and ask for more, they charge you $1.00. If you haven't tried Sol Restaurante, I seriously doubt you will be disappointed. 05/05/2022

I enjoyed lunch with a friend today. We got there at 12:00 and got the last table. For any restaurant to be 100% occupied especially on a Wednesday, it tells you it is extremely well prepared and good food. Unfortunately I still am not accustomed to taking pictures of my food. Absolutely one great restaurant. They're food is always on point, drinks always refilled and a great vibe there.

We love to visit them each month. If you haven't tried them out, go for it.

Sol has the best street tacos I've ever had. The restaurant is nicely decorated and the service is always solid.

It's rare I've ever gone and not eaten the street tacos, but I've tried a few other things there over the years and they were all delicious too.

The red sauce they give you with the street tacos is made in-house and I love it. It's on the spicy side, so be prepared for that.

Poor service. We were very disappointed with the service during our visit. Our server never checked on us after taking our order and did not offer any drink refills. We requested more chips but never received any. It was clear that the server was primarily focused on a large group table and ignored ours. This lack of service was quite frustrating and took away from our overall experience. The food was good.

This place crushes it every time. The margarita was icy cold and the fajitas were both hot and tasty. Portions were large and prices were very reasonable. The staff is two standard deviations above average for Montgomery with food service. Nice atmosphere with a TV to watch whatever game is on. The food came out fast as did the drinks. I will definitely be back.

So it was super humid and the concrete floors were slick, but oh the food. I had chicken breast with poblano pepper sauce and it was too big for lunch, it was dinner too. Great prices and SO FAST! Met some friends for dinner tonight and was able to walk in and get a table. The service staff were very nice and prompt and checked on our drinks regularly. The food was good and had good size portions. I plan to come back😁

I went here on tues 11/28/23. Ordered the two items for 8.95 the beef enchilada and refried beans. The enchilada was so small it looked for a child. The beans were enough for two adults. Service was good! Be careful on ordering the enchiladas because it is no where near size of burritos. I enjoyed meal!

Absolutely hands down the BEST Mexican restaurant in the Montgomery area. Ever since I have moved to Montgomery right after they just opened we have gone about once every week. The food and margaritas are wonderful. Best guacamole (table side) that I have ever had, very fresh!

Great service and cool atmosphere. I had the street tacos, and although they were very tasty, the meat in the tacos was not warm, which was disappointing. But I would still recommend the restaurant.

Some of the best street tacos I've had. The lengua was cooked to perfection and the pork belly was melt-in-your mouth goodness. I also had the fresh table guac which was equally good. I will definitely stop in again.

Good Mexican food with a wide variety of tacos to choose from. Table side guacamole was a nice touch! Very large portions including the vegetable fajitas which could have fed two folks. Worth a visit if you're craving Mexican food in Montgomery or passing through as we were.

Food was overcooked, and not all that tasty. Folks were friendly and the restaurant was clean. Quantity was plenty. We had steak fughettas, the vegetables were overcooked and the steak tasted burnt. Overall wasn't our best experience with Spanish food

By far my favorite Mexican food in the city! It tastes great, comes quick, is fairly priced and tastes fresher than any other restaurant in the category. I've had at least half the menu and still haven't encountered something I don't like.
