Their food is AMAZING!!

I highly recommend the Barbacoa burrito, the Big Client! Wow! Full of flavor and SO filling! The chips are the light and crispy kind, which are my personal favorite, their queso has flavor not just cheese. Their drinks are yummy; the Real Deal margarita is probably the best margarita I’ve ever had! The pomegranate margarita is also fabulous! I suggest adding the spicy salt rim to either!

The restaurant was clean, fun and festive. Every employee was kind, pleasant and gracious. They bring the food out quickly and with a smile!

This is definitely a local favorite, although we were working in the area, the local people we worked with are big fans! The assistant manager, Jeremey, was so welcoming he even gave us a coupon for our next visit! He definitely made sure we had a pleasant experience in the restaurant under his care. We made sure to return again before we left Montgomery.

Customer service is taken serious here! I was made to feel very special with the customer service provided by Macie! She provided sample dips and sauces to try as well as made sure our chips were fresh and whole. No crumbles! Thanks again for a great experience Montgomery Al!

I was expecting an average experience but was wowed by multiple things. The staff were friendly and I never felt rushed as I went through all the possible toppings for my nachos (and there's at least 25 available "free" toppings). The food was brought out quickly and was topped high with everything I ordered including guac and grilled jalapeños. Male sure to stop by and experience the great food and awesome staff!

I've been very pleased with every single visit. It's not 100% authentic Mexican, but it's some really good eating. I'm a picky eater and I love that everything is custom order so I don't have to stand there and tell them all the things I don't want. The nachos are definitely my favorite item on the menu. They are literally piled high and well-constructed. I will definitely keep coming back.

I just left the taco mama Montgomery location and let me tell y’all, they go above and beyon. I stopped by for a drink after work and ended up staying for a meal, they make you feel right at home, everyone was so pleasant Brittany, Macie and Journey kept a smile on my face and Jeremy the manager was on top of everything making sure my food came out quick and delicious! Would definitely recommend! They even have outdoor seating :)

I cannot help myself but to express my opinion. In today's world, why would any restaurant on the planet use plastic drinking cups, plastic little cups with plastic lids, Styrofoam cups and lids, plastic flatware for inside dining!!?? Someone needs to be concerned about materials that last longer than nuclear waste in a landfill and maybe ending up in the ocean and marine life. When the restaurant was constructed, no kitchen sink and dishwasher was installed!!?? Unbelievable.

My wife and I go to the local Taco Mama every week or two when you have the watermelon margaritas. Over the last several weeks we have had the best service from Sabrasha Osborne. I have never left an online review before, but being a business owner myself, I know how important it is to know if your staff is helping your business or hurting it. While we don’t know the manager, we know who he is and we asked him for her name to recognize her for her friendly demeanor, great service and attention to detail.

I have heard so many rave reviews for this place so I finally decided to try it. I was underwhelmed with the food to be honest. The place definitely has a cute vibe and reminds me of Rubio’s back home, beachy and fun.

I ordered a build your own burrito with steak, sour cream, avocado and cheese. The burrito was ice cold and I had to send it back though. Once warmed, the tortilla was good and the toppings inside were fresh, the avocado was perfect. The steak though was not fresh, very bland and it definitely was not made today. It was also barely warm so I know they don’t cook it fresh. The chips were stale and cold. Again, not fresh. The salsa needs salt, very bland. It’s not the worst americanized mexican inspired food I’ve ever had, but I won’t be returning to try anything else.

Updated review: I was surprised to see I initially rated them lower. If there were issues when they first opened they have fixed them all! The food is consistently great and nowhere else gives you unlimited toppings for free. Chips are always fresh, guac and queso is always spot on good. City's best military discount too!!

What an amazing and delicious spot! We stopped for some Togo lunch on our way back from Orange Beach to Georgia after our spring break trip, and what an awesome experience we had!
The decor and atmosphere were so much fun. The staff were all so friendly with smiles on their faces, and the whole place was CLEAN!
Love all the choices and variety you can get to make your meal your "own" or they have preset meals too.
We got a burrito bowl (love the cilantro-lime rice!!!), a steak burrito and a ground beef burrito. All were delicious and hit the spot! The burritos come with chips and salsa PLUS a side. The chips are so crispy and fresh, and the queso is delicious! They also have margaritas and other drinks. However, we didn't purchase those.
Quick shout out to Jeremy and the rest of the staff for taking great care of us out of towners on our visit. Hopefully, we can stop next time we're in the area.

Very overpriced. This was first time here, but will also be my last. Save your money and go to your local Mexican restaurant or Moes to be honest. Mexican corn was horrible, food was cold, lack of side options for the kids. Guacamole is a topping not a side. I never leave reviews but I had to help someone save their money. They only received 2 stars because the staff was great.

Visited on the recommendation of a friend. I told them I had visited one before but upon walking inside, I realized that this was not what I had remembered. Picturing a cross between a Taco Bell and Moe's, it was more in line with a Chipotle. Options ranged from tacos to burritos and nachos and quesadillas. I ordered the burrito bowl with barbacoa and more toppings than is available at any other establishment. It was in one word, delish. I look forward to visiting again and working my way through the menu.

The decoration is nice I ordered a Barbacoa burrito, nice seasoning of the meat no bizarre flavours, and just like in Mexico I ordered it only with onion, cilantro and lime. It's a shame that in the options of "salsas" there is not a hot/picante one; but they have habanero sauce on the table. I personally didn't like the presentation of the dish with a considerable amount of totopos (tortilla chips); like if you remove the totopos, the burrito takes only a quarter of the plate. The real guacamole has no science it's the avocado with only salt, lime, cilantro, onion and tomato, don't add "exotic" ingredients, it just kills the guacamole. In general it was a good experience. 👍

I tried the burrito bowl this time, and it was good. I usually get the tacos but wanted something different. My bowl had gulf shrimp, queso, shredded cheese, cilantro-lime rice, grilled onions, grilled corn, Pico de Gallo, sour cream, and guacamole with a side of chips. This bowl was a nice proportion of food. I brought the remainder hone for later. I never get drinks because the food fills me up, so I always grab water with lemon. They also have the breast cancer cups for sale there, which I think is awesome. Proceeds go to the cause. I always enjoy eating at Taco Mama, so this was a treat for me today. I definitely recommend the Build Your Own. Can't go wrong with that.

Went here with my coworkers after work. My first time. I was really hungry so I ordered the really big burrito. Steak, bean rice and some other things. I ordered the cilantro lime rice. The rice is amazing!! Chips and salsa came with it. I'm not a fan of the thin crispy chips. The salsa was no more than thick marinara. Very bland. The burrito was huge and it definitely filled me up. But it lacked flavor. I don't think I'll be going back.

Went to order food around 8:50pm, when the place was suppose to close at 9. The staff were kind enough to make us our food and asked us to sit outside. As a former bus boy I didn't want to bother them but their hospitality was a 10/10. Food was great, would recommend

Lots of food. Big portion sizes. Slightly above average Mexican prices. Way above average selection. Can get busy so I recommend ordering online and just bypassing the line and getting pickup. You can still eat the pickup order in the store. Would recommend to others as long as you don't go during peak meal times without ordering in advance.

Way overpriced and not that great. Fish was cold and they got my order wrong (gave me soft instead of hard taco). Kids little beef taco looked just "sad;" I almost l, but not quite want to say "dog food" for the kid's meal.

Also, a beer is $6. Really?

Very good service, nice atmosphere, but over priced for what is served. I ordered a "big client" which was supposed to be filled with braised beef for $12. Instead, it had 2-3 tablespoonfuls of beef and what seemed like a full cup of refried beans. I don't even like bean burritos. Also the "side" is a small condiment cup, the same size as the complimentary salsa. Lesson learned, if your order here, get the burrito bowl so you can see what you're getting, and not just an overpriced bean burrito.

Could have gotten a can of refried beans and as couple of tortillas at the dollar store and made three of these.

The tacos just weren't that flavorful and things I expected to be like beans with chorizo were plain. The quesadilla I even added things like queso, chipotle ranch, and cilantro lime rice and it was still underwhelming. Not a complete miss but a Mexican restaurant will give me a quesadilla with less ingredients and more flavor for half the price. Chips and salsa and queso with chorizo were the star of the show. I feel bad too knowing how popular it is.

Came her for dinner and the food was alright. The $10 I paid for the Tree Hugger was really not worth the money. I thought it was very little food, mostly rice not enough beans. Should not have to pay for chips.

Jorge nachos and street tacos with a side of pomegranate margarita 🥰 Customer service is great. I wish I would've caught her name . I'm going to run back for ever !

We did not actually eat here so I can't rate the food. However, we stopped by one day and the line was quite long and their menu was hard to read and also too long. I prefer to go in and quickly know what I want. None of us were thrilled by their menu so we went elsewhere. Maybe next time we will try ordering online.

We were driving through Alabama and needed vegan options so we stopped in. Everything was delicious!!
Love that they have lots of veggies for the veggie option and tofu as well :)
Sabrasha was very helpful and so patient guiding us through the menu!

Have ordered takeout several times and have never been disappointed. Dined in for the first time last week and the food and atmosphere were just as good.

The staff folks were super!! Overall the food was good, but the chicken and beef in the tacos was extremely dry. Without that my rating would be a 5-star.

My grill chicken taco wasn't as good this time. The watermelon Margaritas was good to much watermelon in bottom. Still the best taco plain town.

Taco Mama is a great place
To grab a drink, a bite to eat and just relax! The fall is the best being they raise the door and it really nice. The margaritas are good, the chips are the best. It’s a great restaurant to change it up a little.

Love this place! Everything I've had from here is great. The yo mama burrito is huge and I had the quesodilla last time and it was great. Love the decor and the service is fast and friendly!
