I’ve never had a bad experience here!! Always friendly and fun employees. Have to give a shout out to Andre-I was there last night with a friend and her toddler. He immediately greeted us when we walked in…just a bundle of hospitality and enthusiasm! Was so kind the whole time we were there-helped with high chair and checked in a couple of times. Every business needs an Andre!!! 🙌🏻👏👏👏

Great chill place to grab Mexican food with a twist. They have your standard tacos and nachos but they have cool twists on food. The nachos are great if you are looking for the bang for your buck, you will be impressed by the size of the nachos. The greatest part about building your own is all the free toppings. Most places will charge extra for things like guacamole, but here you can get whatever you want with no extra cost. Food is amazing and our service was also great, very informative. I’ll say it again, for $15 the nachos are a steal.

The food was phenomenal and the service was great! A bit noisy but they were pretty pack for Friday lunch on a nice hot afternoon so I guess that's to be expected. We'll definitely return the next time we're in the Birmingham area.

My sister and I attended on a busy Friday night. No waiters waiting on you. Have to order & pay at the counter and they bring your food to your table. But if you want to order any additional items, you have to wait in line again. Place was packed and loud. Small and kinda cramped on the inside. But
Sister bragged about the skinny margaritas and we purchased a pitcher. But it was the absolutely worse margarita I have ever tasted! The skinny part does not mean the brand "Skinny" tequila. It means they add Splenda to the margarita. Nasty! Very sour aftertaste! Sister sd the margaritas are usually better than that! To give them credit (Chris, cutie), did re-make the pitcher. But it also was nasty to me.
Chips fantastic! Light and airy. Good guacamole & cheese dip.

Great management, Travis always willing to resolve any situation big or small. At the end of it all fhe restaurant seems to try and put the best quality of service to the best if their abilities and will always make it better if anything is slightly off 😀

The loudest, most ill-behaved children are allowed to scream/rant/dance. Parents deliriously ignore them while screaming at each other.
So, it's a typical Crestline family restaurant.
Food is upgraded Taco Bell- meaning Qdoba/Chipotle level. All is fresh and portions are fairly generous....La Paz is an actual sit-down place a block away and it's only full of screaming kids about 30% of the time for 25% more $$$.
I'm HAPPY the Taco Mama chain does well, but do know this one is like a sketchy daycare merged with an SEC Frat party- replete with screaming Little Sisters that nobody will admit to having sponsored. Conversation is impossible, and you might get a drink spilled on you. I bet it takes the staff three hours to wind down after work.

Best lunch value in Mountain Brook, excellent service. I like that an a-la-carte taco can have 7 toppings for no extra charge. Mama says, "Eat your tacos!"

Definitely not your standard Mexican restaurant. This place is fun and inviting. It's more of a neighborhood spot to grab a seriously delicious margarita and have a quick bite of well done Mexican fare.

Visited my best friend this past weekend and she brought me to this place. It’s a cute, laid back atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating. The food is delicious! The drinks are superb! (Seriously the drinks are really good) The customer service was also top notch, whenever I am visiting again it will definitely be one of my go to spots. Decent prices and food amount is appropriate to price. I had the chicken taco, shrimp taco, street corn and chips with queso. I also had a sangrita and a pomegranate drink. Highly recommend.

The food is good and this franchise is busy, so I completely understand certain delays and such, however, service should not be as unapologetically inattentive and frustrating for a customer as it was last night.
I waited in sight of the counter for 40 plus minutes. I was so hungry, so very very hungry. I politely asked the staff if my food had been prepared yet. They turned around, looking for several minutes and grabbed a sack of food sitting for 10 minutes? 20? 30? and handed it to me. All they said was "couldn't find you." Yes, this a busy place, but it's small and I was holding my red block up like Rafiki holding up baby Simba on Pride Rock. An apology would be very nice.I still ate the food and it was good if not warm, but it was a frustrating event.

I wish I could give this review 0 stars. I ordered my usual “go to” meal from taco mama. Thank you for putting the chips on the bottom which helped soak up the pool of grease in the bottom. The taco shell was completely saturated in grease and uneatable. I ended up scraping out the taco meat (squeezing the grease out first) and putting them on chips I had at home. You made Taco Bell look gourmet. And how does anyone mess up corn. 🤮

Taco Mama is one of our go-to places no matter where we are. The Crestline location is far and above the best location to eat at. The food just seems to taste better here and the staff is always friendly.

I have appreciated Taco Mamas for years, and I have visited many of there locations across the state. This (Crestline Village) is my favorite one. It's a little more relaxed than some of the busier locations, like the Summit, and it's really a treat to sit outside and drink a limeade (only available at this location??) and enjoy some of the best Tex Mex in Alabama.

Applicable to all locations: Great build your own Tex Mex with quality ingredients. Reasonable prices! Vegetarian friendly.

I know times are trying, but the food was good but watering down the
margaritas was horrible. Wife and i ordered 2 frozen margaritas and they
could not make them so we settled on on the rocks and the lime juice was
so watered down tap water is thicker

Taco Mama is one of the most popular restaurants in Mountain Brook. It is located in a nice place. It has great food. My favorite is the cheese dip. When ever you drive by that place is always full of people. There is also another location at the summit witch is always full too. It is all around a great place to eat in Mountain Brook. Five stars, Would recommend

Service and staff were great. Food was top notch. However I regret to only give 2 stars because the clientele. I had issues with 2 tables ( 1st a group of eight women playing uno during the dinner rush just drink the 1/2 price margaritas and we're very loud and held up diners). The second was 1 young woman pictured in the KC hat. She was super loud with a shrill voice. Given her putting hot sauce on everything thing she eat and her lack of being able to shut up for more than 15 seconds lead me to believe she was high on cocaine. The photos of the alley and across the street are for reference of where I could still here her voice. While her friends should have given her some insight on manners/etiquette, it is the restaurants responsibility to ensure a pleasurable experience for all. Talking to my Uber drivers who have eaten at other locations the brand is great it's just the self important wannabe "southern women" in this town.

This Taco Mama location is by far my favorite. Usually, the wait to order is the shortest or goes more quickly than some of the other locations and they're always patient and have taken my order correctly every time, which can be tough with allergy requests. I always enjoy a shrimp burrito bowl and glass of prosecco. The location is walkable and has some great outdoor seating, as well. To top it all off, the customer service is always above and beyond what you could even expect from a quick service restaurant. Thanks for the great experiences!

Great little place for drinks and tacos. Order at the bar and find a seat. They bring your food. If you see a burrito you want without the wrap, they will make it into a bowl.
