Great food, service and atmosphere! Lunch specials have large delicious portions! I had the lunch Steak Fajitas, and a Tamale on the side. The Fajitas were very flavorful. The tamale was made with chopped pork, with a nice sauce over it. It tasted fine, but I prefer ground or shredded meat in a tamale. I highly recommend this restaurant!

My friend and I stopped here for lunch. We both ordered the chicken finger plate. 12 pieces of chicken fingers served with a side of white cheese dip, and your choice of french fries, or rice and beans.

The plates were warm, but the rice and beans were cold. They took our plates to warm up the food, but it was only slightly warmer. I just ate my chicken and dip after that.

We've been eating at the Hwy 43 location of Los Tarascos for years and it's always been good. We went today and don't plan to go back. We sat at the bar and got our beer ( mine was slightly cooler than room temperature). Then our waitress disappeared. There were only a handful of people there so it wasn't busy. We waited 20, maybe 30 minutes, saw her walking around back drinking a coke and talking to co-workers. My boyfriend finally went to find her and tell her we wanted to order and would like another beer. The usually very good food got to us - we both ordered tacos- and didn't finish even half. (Everyone around us had regular silverware but our waitress gave us plastic take out utensils.) The beef had no seasoning, was bland, and cold. A once really good place to eat seems to have taken a bad turn - we won't be going back.

It was my birthday dinner and they did not sing , they did not say happy birthday nothing. Kind of ruined it because thats part of the experience. They were kind of rude even though they weren't busy that night at all and seemed like they wanted to rush us out the door. Our waitress did make sure we had what we needed and the food was good.

Took my grandson there today and the utensils had rice stuck to them. He ordered a chicken and cheese quesadilla. When he got his order he ate most of the beans and rice first and then bit into his quesadilla. It had shrimp instead of chicken. I told the waiter and he said we ordered shrimp. He did not offer to make another or did not take it off my bill. I paid and even left a small tip but we will not be back. There’s a Mexican restaurant on every corner in Tuscaloosa to choose from.

We typically get take put and they are the only place I've seen that separates the hard shells from the other parts. This insures the taco is not soggy when you get home. It's a simple thing but it makes a huge difference in the food. The online ordering is very detailed and the service is great. We have eaten inside and it's just as accomdating.

Worst service, terrible food, no alcohol in the premixed drinks, the bartender is rude, unprofessional, and the manager is rude, and the severs are under age, can't speak English and are allowed to serve alcohol.. this place was such a bad experience....

Our favorite Mexican place in Tuscaloosa!! The Tarascos dip is fabulous. I love the grilled nachos but if I’m sharing something with my family we get the Gaby’s special - plenty of food for myself and my husband, and enough to share with our three-year-old twins. They are obsessed with the chicken!

Another reason this is one of our favorites - the fried ice cream is always spectacular. Sometimes they just use vanilla ice cream, but the majority of the time they use other flavors - cookies and cream is my favorite! You cannot specify what ice cream flavor you want, but it will typically be something other than vanilla.

We have always had amazing service, food and drinks here.

Pro-tip - ask for Nacho to be your server!

My family has supported this business in multiple of their locations for around 15 years and sadly I think it’s time that comes to an end. The last time I ate there with my mom our waiter completely disappeared after giving us our food. We waited and waited for a drink refill and he never showed up. We had to get someone else to bring us our check so we could leave. When we took the check to the front to pay. The person working the register had a crappy attitude and ignored us while scattering receipts across the desk then picking them up as slowly and sarcastically as possible while we stood and waited to be acknowledged. The past 3 times the beans that came with our order were cold and on the third time they were watery.. the visit before then the queso we ordered wasn’t heated and was so stiff we couldn’t even dip chips into it. The booths are poorly built and make you feel like you are going to slide to the floor. Also, despite being a new location, the bar is the worst I have ever seen in my lifetime. Not only is it cheaply put together like the afterthought it was, but the height of it is too high and it makes for an uncomfortable experience when your food and drinks are eye level. The quality and the service has steadily gone downhill and we will now go out of our way to eat somewhere else.

2/5 because at least the salsa and the chimichangas are good

I ordered here 2 weeks ago. I clearly told the young girl on the phone my to go order. She spoke clear English. I ordered 5 different meals. I picked it up and it look big like all 5 meals was there. Something told me to check to. I realized right away I had 1 whole meal missing which was for my youngest son. Alll they could say was oh I’m sorry we are closing in 15 and kitchen has already been closed down. I am beyond upset thinking eveyone but my youngest son got there food. I get home and realize my meal is also missing. Guess I should have checked it there before I left, but still would not have done me any good. So me and my youngest ended up getting whataburger while we watched eveyone else eat there food. Not to mention I was over charged. I paid for 2 meals I never received nobody has called me back after multiple times calling asking and being told they will just have to call me back. My other son’s 3 taco meal was messed up. I told them multiple times we wanted corn soft shell. Not har shell corn or flour shell. I repeated myself on the phone and she finally repeated it back to me and told me not to worry she had it correct! I don’t know if service is better for dine but I wouldn’t order to go. I feel like I deserve to have just as good service and food tho I am paying the same price whether I eat my food from there or at home.

This is a great restaurant in a good location. The food was delicious, and everyone's orders were correct. The only issues came with drinks not coming as asked, and the server didn't have the best attitude, but I understand that the job can be very stressful and difficult to handle. Overall, it was a good experience, and we will likely be back.

Not your normal Mexican restaurant, all dark and gloomy. This place is very well lit and clean. I do have one tweak. The booths are very right angle with a small seat but well padded. Over all would DEFINITELY GO BACK.

Chicken fajitas were dry and shrimp had a cummin flavor which is not the normal for a Mexican restaurant. Staff was semi friendly. Restaurant was great for decor and design as a Mexican restaurant. The food just did not meet expectations. We are hoping it was an off night and will try it again.

Tonight was amazing!!! Food was delicious as always!!! We went on Cinco de Mayo. Still got amazing service and great food even though the place was super duper packed!!!! The whole field on each side was filled with cars. Probably around 150! The food took a little bit longer than normal (because they are usually super fast), but that wait was like any other restaurant.

I can't say enough about how efficient and attentive the staff were even being so overwhelmed. Our waitress had to bring our plates one by one because the runners were so busy. She seemed so nervous that we were not going to leave her a good tip. However, I worked in restaurants, and I know that the fact she brought them herself meant she cared and didn't want us to wait any longer. She kept stopping by to ask if we needed anything. She was amazing!!!

If your food ever takes longer when a restaurant is so busy, don't punish the waitress with a low tip. They have absolutely 0 control over the kitchen. And this kitchen was pumping out tons of food! Huge trays full went by several times a minute.

I commend y'all for having all hands on deck. You had SO many employees to make sure everyone was taken care of. I gave a 25% tip for the attentiveness, great atmosphere, and great quality as always!!!!

The sopppias were great with chocolate on the side and the beef and refried beans and rice was great. Overall it was a great experience. I really loved all of the food I ate.I give it a 5 star service and food and atmosphere even someone having a birthday singing and the noise sounded like a laser going off at the restaurant when someone having a birthday celebration. It was a great experience out to dinner with 3 of my friends. After we went wedding shopping for my friend's upcoming wedding.

VIP Guacamole is the best. Also recommend the molcajete for 2, but take more than 2 people because it is a lot of food! And delicious! Wait staff is attentive.

Been here twice now. Food is mediocre and pretty tasteless. Salt is your friend people. Biggest problem is the service. Showed up an hour and a half before they closed but we were obviously not wanted there. Bartender seemed upset that she might have to make any drinks. Save your money and eat Taco Bell. It at least has flavor
