Horrible location! Lazy Manager & workers! Arrived @ 5:45, no chicken, no steak, no brisket, no meat period.. then they have the nerve to be nonchalant, no apologies, no discount, no anything. Waited 30 mins to get the food, then no napkins, no forks.. close it down please! 10+ people left and decided not to wait- the pic is of everyone who decided to wait. Then I ask for very little beans, and got a huge spoon full. Just overall horrible location.
I worked 10+ hrs and was ready to eat, get there and have to wait 30 mins for food- then the lady didn’t want to add my soda to my order bc I had an attitude. Really?! The soda should’ve been FREE!

Ordered online and order was available for pickup off the shelf when I got there. The chicken tasted a bit different and there was no lettuce on my order. Protion size was decent. I kind of wish they would let you know if they weren't able to put something on your order cause they were out.

Had a piece of paper inside my quesadilla. Totally unacceptable. I love chipotle and visit every week but recently Chipotle customer service has become bad. Now you can’t get anyone to contact you by complaining through the app which was previously an option. Obviously a cost cutting measure from corporate I am sure. They need to improve or risk losing more and more customers to competition.

The food tasted decent, however the amount of protein you get is about half of what it used to be. The worst part was the service. The employees are super rude. I'm in a interracial (white/black) relationship and my white wife was treated with straight disrespect by the all black staff. The whole established needs to be reported and investigated for hate crimes due to discrimination. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!

Not sure what the rave is about. Food was bleh. Didn't appear to be the freshest, but didn't look bad either. The rice was hard (undercooked). The chicken was poorly seasoned. Staff was not good at recommending, considering it was my first time trying Chipotle. I kinda piggybacked off the customer in front of me. The best thing was the organic lemonade.

I gave 2 stars because I've had some excellent burrito bowls here in the past. Not this time. Went in at 12:15pm. Almost every protein was empty, fajita veggies were almost completely raw, rice was undercooked, salsa had zero flavor. A huge disappointment. Then upon departure I went into the bathroom. It was beyond disgusting. WOW. Definitely won't be returning to this Chipotle.

Place was filthy when I showed up should have been a red flag. The worst part of the entire experience was I ordered a bowl and they must not have drained the pico I order but the bowl was soaking wet leaked thru the bag and got all over my clothes and car. Had to throw my pants I was wearing away!! Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else

Good place to go if you like receiving the tiniest scrap of meat you’ve ever seen. Oh, and if you want to supplement that tiny scrap with an additional even TINIER scrap, that’s double meat. Prepare to pay an arm and a leg for a sad meal. The Chipotle renaissance is coming to an end.

I will not be going back to the Opelika location. This is not the 2nd or 3rd or 4th time they are out of something like the vinaigrette. When you say you didn't blend any that's ridiculous. You have the ingredients you just didn't feel the need to make more when you ran out. I waited 20 mins for brown rice and when I got home the rice was hard because it wasn't cooked all the way. It was a reasonable time so why did you start making the rice after I asked for it. The pan was empty, somebody should have already been on that. I went two times just to be told we ate only doing online orders but your not busy. Every other time I go it is disappoinment. I won't be back.

I normally rate Chipotle higher; however today's meal didn't seem to have the same flavorful taste and the bag of chips was stale. Will update based on my next experience.
Also, I wish Chipotle would label what condiments / indigents come with bowls without an extra charge and which are an extra charge. When I take someone in with me not familiar with Chipotle they seem to get charged for items they weren't expecting.

one of the workers was really rude on halloween night. i don’t know her name, but i had just politely asked her for extra rice and bluntly told me no and that they weren’t doing extra rice tonight. i don’t mind not getting extras, but her tone and facial expression was not friendly at all. i understand being stressed on this night, but a simple “i’m sorry, we aren’t giving any extras tonight” would have sufficed.

I went in at a very bus time, both stations were unsanitary. The first team member on the line was pretty nice but he was out of steak so he put like 3 pieces on my burrito then gave me chicken. When I went to the register the cashier tried to charge me for two meats and I explained that the other team member only put 3 pieces on to be nice and to clean out his container. He told me I could go and I didn’t have to come back! Cool, I PROMISE I won’t. Horrible service

This Chipotle needs to acknowledge those with food allergies, especially to Cilantro. We came here to grab a couple of bowls and my wife is highly allergic to it. The staff we dealt with including the shift manager, was very unaccommadating and even though they had plain white rice made (they offered that info) they refused to serve it to us. Other Chipotle establishments have no problem making this accommodation for us (and we have been to many Chipotle places). However, this particular one does have a problem. Horrible customer service and zero accommodation for those with allergies. Very disheartening.

It was the first time I've ever been. It was okay. Different than I expected. So you go up to a counter like at Subway. Pick a meat, then add what u want. I wanted everything. But I thought it was strange that after the meat, they go ahead and add the red sauce, salsa, and green salsa. By the way.. THE RED SAUCE IS FIRE SAUCE! I wished she would've told me that it was VERY HOT! LOL. It almost overpowered the rest. HOT! Anyways, then they add the rest. The girl put the order in a bag and rang it up . Didn't ask if we were eating there or taking it to go. So we had to order a drink. Then we go to the patio to eat, and there wasn't any forks! Then we noticed that our food was cold. Very cold. Like it's meant to take home to heat up later. Idk. Kinda ruined it! But it's lots of food in the bowl and tasty. It's just too hot and too cold. All the tables were pretty dirty too. One more thing.. there's a loud speaker directly over the counter so it's hard to hear and talk. It felt like being at a club or something.too loud.

My experience at this chipotle was awful. I ordered a drink only to find out that sprite was the only drink working. When I told the staff the drink machine was not working they stared at me with a blank face and didn’t do anything about it. I asked for a bottled drink since I couldn’t get a fountain drink and they made it seem like an inconvenience. The service at this location was subpar and the staff was unprofessional. I will not ever be back.

Forgot my guac on my veggie burrito, mobile orders rarely turn out right at this location it seems. 5 stars bc it’s one of the only places with vegan/vegetarian dishes easily accessible so I don’t want to harm the establishment with my review. Do better next time. What’s a burrito w/o guac!

Man this place had to be hanging by its last thread. Mind was set to eat here so I still went and ordered but place is not clean. Window where you can see your food is filthy. Hot area holding the food is a wreck. Service was bad. Got a quarter scoop of what was left of the guacamole and guy said “are you ok with that” ? I said no I’m not paying for that and would like my full scoop and just walked away. Luckily another team member grabbed a new pan of guacamole and put the right amount. I now understand all the tik tok videos making fun of chipotle.

This is the worst Chipotle I’ve ever been to and it’s been this way for far too long. We just got take out from there and I’m now done “giving them another chance”.
1) Wow, they were so rude — they were rolling their eyes and the young woman at the register had absolutely zero respect with a very unapologetic attitude. The way she looked like she was asked to mop the floor when a woman simply asked for the bag of chips that she had ordered (literally just say “Ok, sure..” and turn around and grab the already made bag of chips) — Chipotle needs to know that this location is in absolute shambles.
2) I threw away my steak bowl halfway through because it didn’t taste good and I’m now trying to convince myself that I’m not actually feeling sick from it.
3) There were sticky drink lids laying around and my toddler picked one up off the floor. Even he said ewwww. And there’s was a mountain of ice that had been piling up and needed to be cleared.
A lot of this stuff I’m usually just whatever about but the aggregate of how bad this place has been for as long as it has been is why they are finally getting this well overdue bad review.
The food sucks. The proportions are always off. I basically had a sour cream bowl with steak and toppings mixed in. But the worst part by far has consistently been the service and the attitudes of the frontline workers. They literally make you feel like you are ruining their day when you walk in or ask for anything, and there’s absolutely zero payoff whatsoever. This place needs a complete overhaul!

Maybe if you were properly staffed, some of these things would improve and so would your rating. Restaurant was filthy! They were out of all vegetables. All they had was meat, salsa and some lettuce. Tables were all dirty. Trash cans running over. Trash on the floor. Glass doors were nasty and needed to be wiped down. I've been in several Chipotle's and have always had a good experience. Today's experience was horrible. I hope the manager or owner reads this before they go out of business.

The last 4 times I have ordered from this store have been the absolute worst. And when I have tried to call, I never get an answer. My order is ALWAYS wrong and they owe me AT LEAST $20 for failing to include chips and queso, a 4.25 coca cola, and just plain chips on NUMEROUS occasions, without a way to rectify the situation. So yeah, I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!! THIS is my last time ordering from them!!

Food: The rice wasn't cooked properly to the point that it felt like I was chewing on plastic, and I know that there are rules about how much food they give but this was the stingiest burrito bowl I have ever had to the point it barely filled the bowl and I get tons of toppings
Service: When I first walked up to the counter no one acknowledged us until the girl working the mobile orders had to tell the girl who was making walk in orders to help us out. She then made sure to take her sweet time in getting to us not even addressing us and talking to another coworker having her back to us until she was done with her conversation to actually serve us

If you don’t want food poising, don’t go here. Almost left mid ordering my food because of how disgusting the food set up was. They were out of rice, lettuce, and CHIPS. I got guac on the side and they didn’t let me know until check out that they were out of chips. Service was extremely rude and dismissive. Every single soda was flat, couldn’t find a clean fork, trash can overflowing. Left chipotle and came home to a terrible stomach ache. Come to find out the food had given me food poisoning. Never coming back here and probably not to any chipotle ever again.

I had to ask a worker, who was doing nothing, to clean a table for us, and she cleans our table and walks back to the front, not even bothering to wipe down the other tables despite having a cleaning rag in her hand. I did an online order at 6:50 from the chipotle on 280 in front of walmart. I arrived at 6:50 to pick up my food they told me they were short staffed, but there was no one inside ordering. The employee told me to park. I’ve been sitting there for about 2 hours. They were sitting on their phones and not making orders. There were over 20 people waiting on their orders inside and many lined up outside. Multiple groups of people walked out and never were able to get a refund. I received my order at 9:00. My order was substituted. They are always out of food. I am very disappointed and never will be coming back. I highly suggest going to another chipotle.

At 1:15 on an apparently slow Thursday, while the service was good, as was food, the dining area was trashed.
Dirty tables, food remnants on floor, and beverage service area unappealing (as in "when was this last cleaned?")
Not the normal experience in a Chipotle.
I dined in, and was there for probably 45 minutes, and no staff came out from behind the counter.
Lastly, I've seen cleaner restrooms in a truck stop.
Not a staff shortage issue.

Used to love going here for a "healthier" lunch option. However, this location has been on a steady decline for the past year.
Ordered the Barbacoa bowl. Watched as the team member scooped the last few greasy bits of Barbacoa from the pan onto my rice. Was an overpriced, greasy disappointment.

I wanted to try the carne asada, but they said they were out. But while I waited I saw the most disgusting mess all around the food.
A cook came to replace an empty rice container and lifted it over the fresh one dripping the filthy water into the everything. It was brown and had bits of multiple food items in it. Gags..
Thank God I didn't buy a dose of ecoli.

Old review- Very dirty! This location is consistently dirty. We have checked in several times over the course of a year. Dirty food prep area, not a single table is clean, there isn't a trash can outside, staff sometimes seems very unmotivated. (aside from one lady working today who was working very hard to do the jobs of 5 people because they weren't fully staffed) Restaurant has food scraps everywhere. This location really needs help.

I absolutely will not be eating at this place or any other Chipotle for that matter . I tried it in Missouri a few years ago was very disappointed in it . I thought I'd give it another try in Opelika Alabama boy was I wrong. It was just as bad as the one in Missouri. Bland food most of the steak on my burrito bowl was nothing but fat. I could have said something, but she had had five orders on the counter in the making, so i bit the bullet and went to the back of the line. This location in Opelika is absolutely disgusting and dirty. There is literally dust build-up on one of the walls, all of the trash cans were full/over-filled, all of the tables had food debris on them, the napkin dispensers were empty, the juices/teas were empty, there was no ice in the ice machine, and the list goes on and on. My job has afforded me the opportunity to travel a lot and this Opelika Alabama location is the worst Chipotle I have ever been to. I visited the Auburn location 2 months ago and it was dirty then. However, I thought that it might be a one-off incident so I returned to the Opelika location on 29 November 2023 and it is even worse now. This location needs a complete overhaul with how they operate their establishment.

This restaurant was dirty! Dirty floors and tables were the first thing I noticed. Then I looked at the food prep area. It was covered with spills and food, even my receipt was covered with spills. Best experience I've had at this location in a long time!! They finally hired some employees that have a great attitude and appear to like the job. Also for the first time in a long they were not out of toppings for the bowls.

Online orders only with workers just standing there. Online order was ready 30 mins after time. Drink machine only gives water. Order was NOT right, even after waiting an extra 30 mins! Not worth the wait. Go to Moes and save your $/time!

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. We went in there today for lunch and was told you can only order online but you can dine in. The manager told us that he was the only one that could run a cash register. So that was why they were doing online orders only. There were 5 or 6 people working in view. When we left the store we did see the sign on the door that says online orders only. If this is corporate policy it's not a good one. We will not be back to this location.

This is by far the slowest Chipotle I’ve ever been to. 8 out of 10 times, there’s a sign on the door saying “online order only”. Then you place an online order and it takes them literally an hour to fulfill your order. I’m currently sitting in my car waiting for my chipotle order that said it’s been complete and went inside for it to not actually be complete. There were 3 or 4 other people waiting on their orders. And there’s about 10 employees standing around or enjoying their food.
When you can actually go in to order your food, they always run out of something.

Unless you have the chipotle app you cannot walk in and order. Waste of time and effort to down reload their app to order food just to wait for it to be made and be wrong like all past online orders. Would not waste your time. Opt for Panda Express across the street.

Holy cow this is the most disgusting location I have ever been to. I don’t think there was any leadership working last night at 6 pm on August 14, 2023. Didn’t notice until I had already paid for my order that all of the flavored drink machines were empty. There were no napkins out. There were no forks out. You were out of brown rice and veggies. Like no back up or anything. No tables had been cleaned off for hours. The trash was overflowing and there was liquid seeping out all over the floor. There were flies everywhere. I asked for napkins and the young lady at the register basically told me to grab them myself from their to go prep station. Half of the sodas in the machine were out and the ones that were there were partially flat. No tea made. They looked like they had gotten a big to go order but there was still enough staff there to keep the place clean and stocked. This was horrible and I’ll never be back to this location again. If a health inspector had come in at that time they would have closed you down.

Food was good, as expected!! Service was not good, as I stood there for five minutes before someone told me that they only except online orders and no dine in. One girl making food, while everyone else was standing around in casual conversation. As I ordered online, several unhappy people left after finding out they couldn’t order at the register. Really!! You have a business that I can’t pay or order at the counter!! Let me know when I can order inside and I’ll come back.

I post this photo of Panda Express because do yourself a favor and go across the street for lunch. Chipotle says it opens up at 10:45, there were 10 people pulling at the door from 10:45-11am… at 11 I figured we’ll hell I’m not waiting any longer. Which is why I went across the street to get lunch. At 11:05 I was pulling out of the Panda Express parking lot and there were still people at Chipotle pulling at the door trying to grab lunch 20 min after they were supposed to be open.

The place was a mess. There were no clean tables. The food bar area was covered with food. The service was not friendly and would not disclose why customers cannot order a quesadilla unless through the Chipotle app. And to finish, there were no forks.

I just walked out of the store and I am absolutely appalled at the things I just saw. The restaurant itself was filthy. Garbage was over flowing, drink station was a whole mess with nothing stocked, the line was absolutely disgusting. It was covered with old food, toppings, and you could see the slide marks from the bowls. I also watched the line cook PICK A SCAB WITH HIS GLOVES ON! He did not change them either. My food went right in the trash can! I don't even want a refund but this is absolutely unacceptable. Management or the owners need to do something!

The portion sizes are a complete joke from this store. I spend over $50 on two bowls and drinks, double protein/extra everything, willing to pay whatever amount for a full bowl, and it’s over half empty every single time without fail! Do NOT place online orders, because you literally have to stand there and stare at them make it to not end up getting home with a $50 handful of rice.

Really sad, because the food is good, but they've gone to an online-only system where they won't even take your order in person. It now takes a half hour for them to make a single burrito, and then they leave it sitting on a counter in the back and act nasty when you try to ask if it's ready. Will never go back.

HORRIBLE SERVICE!! I had placed an order for pickup. There was one employee in sight. I went to the cash register beside the pickup area. CONNER, the employee just ignored me. After the customer he was serving paid, I told him I was there for a pickup order. He looked at the computer and turned to the next customer in line without saying one word to me. I waited for him to finish with the next person and asked about my order. He said he could only work one line at a time and proceeded to take the next walking. Finally, 3 more employees showed up. One began fixing my order. Conner ignored the others in line to talk with the guy fixing my order. Another employee began serving the walking line. Conner just SLOWLY sauntered from the back of the service are to the serving line talking with the other employees. He finally took off his apron to leave the building. I love Chipotle food, but their service LEAVES A LOT TO BE DESIRED. EVERY TIME we order takeout or delivery, salad dressings are omitted. Now I see why so many Chipotle restaurants have closed.

How long is it going to take before corporate steps in and helps this store get it together. This location is an absolute disaster, there’s too many employees on the clock for it to be going like that! I went in 6/19/2022 for a bowl and the girl taking my order was so sweet but they were out just about everything, I asked politely when the white rice would be done and the young black male heavy set in the back started making remarks and never gave anyone a time 3 people asked. He was disrespectful and talked to those girls like they were trash. This location has a 3 star rating. When will corporate pay attention to this location???

Food was great as always. However, this is the second time I've gone in the store and was told they were only accepting online orders. I prefer to order in the store because I have specific requests that don't allow me to put them on the app. So that was slightly annoying. So i placed my order and waited for them to prepare it. Another lady ordered about 5 minutes after me and somehow got her order before I did. The guy saw me standing there and waiting for 20 minutes, you would think he would if at least asked my name to see if my order was ready or not. Finally, when I opened my rice bowl, i quickly noticed that the fajita veggies that I asked for weren't in my bowl, I was given no warning or no explanation of this. Almost none of the dine in tables were clean, the floor was filled with food and trash. It was honestly a really disappointing and frustrating experience.

Both dishes missing the meat. Paid extra for steak just to get literally no meat. Dug around the bowl and confirmed there is no meat in one bowl and 2-3 small pieces in the other.

I hate ordering on the phone or online because you don't see how your food will be. I asked for extra sour cream and extra meat, but I didn't get it. The rice was gummy, and if I had come in the store, I would have gotten everything right. There, for my food, it was dry.

They need to post what times they are going to do online orders only. When I want to eat Chipotle, I want to eat in 10 minutes not an hour or more later.

I wish there was a 0 star option because that’s what I would give this place. I was treated so awful here by the cashier. I had ordered a to-go order and it was ready, although no one had put it on the rack it was behind the counter and I could clearly see my name. So I went up and I asked if could get my order. Well the cashier doesn’t even look at me and says “Mam have a seat” and I said, “excuse me?” She told me to have a seat because she was too busy on her phone. The WORST employees. The owner of this franchise/manager of this location should be ASHAMED. Shut this location DOWN!

I ordered online to pick up my order of steak bowl. After waiting about 15 minutes for the order to be ready, I take it home and find out that there is NO meat(steak) in the bowl. In addition, I found the rice and beans under the grated cheese, cold and runny with salsa/tomato juice.
After calling the store and speaking with the manager, her excuse is that there are only 3 workers working the dinner shift tonight and they are low on meats. So, they are low on meat...and the answer to that is to just OMIT it from a STEAK bowl order?
What lousy management and group of workers here.
Does not even deserve a 1 star. Wasted my time and money on this garbage.

I've always loved Chipotle, and have really wanted to like it here, too, as it's my local option. I've come multiple times, trying and hoping for improvement. It never comes. The SLOWEST, and usually least friendly service I have ever dealt with at a Chipotle. ROUTINELY out of fajita veggies - you'd think once or twice, sure. But planning for veggies is constantly way off. Food is usually good, when they have what you want. But it takes FOREVER to get through a small line, EVERY time, and they are not very good at keeping the food spillage cleaned up - can be kind of gross.
Really hope it turns around. I normally love Chipotle.

They didn’t want to take me or my daughters order. They did have any salad dressing to go with my salad but didn’t tell us until we had checked out and wouldn’t let us change our order! Opelika Chipotle has gone down hill over the last year!!! Do not go there!!!!!

Good food, horrible service. Either there wasn't sufficient staff or those that were there didn't know how to stay on point. They were running, no, strolling, from one place to another. Need a new manager who knows how to use the staff efficiently. Probably won't be going there again any time soon.

Ordered on the app food was supposed to be ready at 6. Waited until 6:50pm before food was ready. Several items had to be prepared. The manager was complaining loudly about limited food and someone mentioned she was not managing the door well.

Terrible customer service and I’m not even from this area. Three employees watched as I stood there for almost 10 minutes and when I finally decided to walk out that’s when one decided to shout somebody at the front. & it’s also not very clean.

The service was slow because of conversation between the two workers and I didn't get my complimentary cup of guacamole. There was a big discussion about the guacamole as I proceeded to walk out. I really don't think they noticed my departure. That was the first and the last time I will that restaurant.
