Chips and dip were a letdown. Chips were greasy and stale; salsa was unexceptional. Our server was not bad, but not great either.
The food came out fast. The Nachos Al Pastor was Very good. The chips in it was crispy and there was a good toppings to chip ratio. The toppings were not overly wet and the chips maintained their crunch throughout. Grilled pineapple was a great flavor burst and there was enough to complement every bite. Highly recommended.

I've always loved going here. But the reason for the two star review is no matter how I pay. I get charged a convenience fee. I pay cash and I'm charged a convenience fee for paying with cash. Same thing for using a card. Why should I have to pay a convenience fee Just to pay for my bill? After going there since they opened and even before they were over there, I'm definitely going to cut back. It's not a lot. Don't get me wrong. It's the fact that no matter what they charge you for the way you pay and tax it on top of that.

To add on. First time back, ordering take out. This is all they give you to go for 4 people, which I didn’t mind adding on for a reasonable price.Even though the total was already $60: But the little 4 oz salsa and this size bag of chips is $5. Insane, going to stay away- only went as a request from family.

My family has enjoyed dining at Buena for a long time, since located behind Publix. Good food, great service. The atmosphere has always been nice, especially decor & lighting. But on multiple recent visits, the overpowering smell of Fabulosa (a recalled product in 2024) permitted my husband and me from sitting inside. I will admit to being sensitive to strong smells but there has to be a more effective and a clean product that can be used.

We didn’t understand why this place only got 4.2 stars, because we found it to be an excellent Mexican restaurant.
The staff were very friendly, and they have a large indoor seating area with a sports bar feel in part of it, and they also have a large enclosed patio area with heaters. The main restaurant area was busy and somewhat loud, so we opted to sit in the enclosed patio, which was nice and quiet.
The salsa was very good with just a little heat to it without having to add hot sauce. The chips were thin and crisp.
We ordered house margaritas, and we both felt they tasted very good, but could be a little less sweet.
She got the trio quesadillas, which were very fresh and delicious. I got the street tacos, which were absolutely incredible. I’m not kidding when I say I never order tacos at a Mexican restaurant, but when we ask the server what she orders, she suggested those two dishes. We couldn’t have been happier with her recommendation.
The street tacos were some of the best I’ve ever had. I particularly enjoyed the pork field taco, as it was so savory and deep in flavor. The Charro beans were a delicious side with the tacos, especially after adding a couple drops of habanero sauce to them. They had a nice smoky pork flavor.
We would definitely return frequently if we lived in this area.

We had lunch here. My husband had the shredded chicken burrito and I had the shrimp burrito. We both had rice which we agreed was good. I loved my shrimp dish. The shrimp were large and the green sauce was delicious. My husband’s chicken was dry and needed some sort of sauce. Our server was very prompt. The music loud making it difficult to hear each other.

I ordered chips and cheese dip, along with other items for delivery. They forgot the cheese dip, the chips were old and stale. The overpriced cheese dip, when I finally received it, had lumps of un melted cheese. The ONLY reason I didn't order from the AUTHENTIC place down the road is that they don't use door dash.

What a horrible experience my wife and I had last night. The food seemed to have no seasoning at all. The server messed up the order. We had to ask for the side order twice. The service was the worst we had ever had. The best recommendation I can make is to go somewhere else.

Used the takeout service for my first experience here. Everything was understood correctly over the phone when placing the order, but when we got home we discovered that one entire meal had been left out.

I'll give them another shot as a dine in customer at some point, but this was a fairly rough first encounter.

Update: I have returned numerous times since my original review and I am happy to report that all of the experiences have been excellent. They have easily earned a five star rating from me.

We had a big group. The serve came to refill our drinks, took our cup and it took her 15 minutes to bring it back. One of our orders were couple torilla shells she server brings a hardshell taco, when she decides to come back to check on us we tell her it suppose to be shells she gets the taco and takes it to the kitchen and comes back with a soft taco we never got the torilla shells. And we placed a togo order abs it was all wrong. Dont plan to going back no time soon

Great appetizers, drinks and entree's. Two adults and 1 child and the bill came to $135 with multiple apps, soft drinks and a round of adult beverages. Food was fresh and delicious. Kid's menu is solid. Fried ice cream delicious. Service was outstanding👍👍

It gad been several years since our last visit. So we decided to try it again. The greeting was nice, and we were seated promptly. We got the usual chips and salsa. The chips were a bit "old" tasting. Perhaps from the previous day or even week(?). The salsa was actually quite nice. A good " heat" was there. If you're not into heat, you'll want to try it sparingly. The wait for getting our order placed seemed a bit long... but not too bad. The order was ok. However, the issue of freshness was apparent. I ordered the Burrito Con Popo. The Burrito was supposed to have chorizo, potatos and steak. The amount out of chirizo was small, compared to the size of the burrito. Maybe 1/3 of the burrito, and unfortunately it was place to wards the end of the burrito and not evenly spaced. So little to no chorizo untill the last few bites. Steak was ok, but again, a bit scarce as compared for the cost. The guacamole with my order seemed day old and not fresh at all. Not that I am too hung up on that. However, it was apparent to my wife as well. Overall, the food was "okay." There are plenty of other Mexican restaurants with better quality and taste. Unfortunately, one and done.

Something changed since the previous time I was there. The pork meat I got was one quarter unrendered fat and the service was poor with no refills to some in our large party. More annoying were incidental charges like a 3 dollar charge to leave meat out of a taco salad for a friend. The group had an automatic 20% TIP added with no choice. I would not have tipped so much given the lack of attention by the waitress. It took a long time to collect payments. Clearing of the table during service was slow and incomplete. The food was fine for the most part. Most of these issues were not the same for the previous visit but the group contributed issues and discussed opinions that changed their favorability of the restaurant that brought us back this time. We will not be returning for a while.

The music was so loud that it was hard to carry a conversation, and it was so dark I had to read the menu with my phone light. The salsa was watery and barely had any flavor, the cheese dip that was ordered by my Mother was so watery and tasteless that we sent it back and it still came out as a 2/5. The food was nothing and special as the beans were watery, the rice tasted burnt, the beef in one of the enchiladas was nothing special, and the chicken in Mom and mine's dishes were dry as a bone.
The only good thing is that the food came out fast. But our server was all over the place and it was hard to get refills on drinks.

We have been going here for several years but we have noticed a drop in service and quality over the past few months. The last couple times the service has been poor especially when the cost of eating out is so high. On one experience, our waiter spent 10 minutes talking to the table next to us while we were waiting for our check. Today, the cheese dip was cold and watery. It wasn’t worth our time to stay for an entree when we waited 15 minutes for that cheese dip. We watched 4 people, including our waitress, bus 1 table while we waited to order. This place used to be fun to go to but it’s no longer worth the time or money.

I've been here quite a few times, and honestly, I would love to give them a higher rating. However, they started adding a convenience fee to the bill of 3.5%. I find this highly dishonest. If you need to raise prices, raise them. But adding a fee at the end and hiding the true cost is deceptive. The actual amount is irrelevant, but the practice is deceptive and dishonest.

Service is really quite good. The food is standard chain Mexican although the beef in the fajitas was tough and not particularly flavorful, and the guac and pico a few steps below what you can get at other places. I might have given them another shot, but the "convenience fee" tacked on to the bill was dispiriting. I assume that simply bumping up the prices a bit would put them at a price point the owners believe would alienate customers, but sneaking it in on the bill is dishonest.

We arrived late on a Tuesday to some cute folk art & non running fountains outside. They seated us, no problem or wait. We were in a corner next to an expo window so we could hear the conversation of the wait staff (whom HATE their jobs but like this place bcz of the tips...) & Our server was stellar. She helped explain the menu & our beer (dos equis)& food was pretty good. We got bean dip which was more cheese than bean. Chips & salsa which I've had much more vibrant salad at other restaurants. The street tacos were good, we got asada. And it came with really good charro beans. We also got a make your own dinner where we tried their chili relleno and a beef burrito w/rice & beans. We later found out this was 1 of 2 or 3 of these restaurants but it didn't feel overly manufactured & the decorations weren't terribly tacky. I think I'd be willing to try some other things in the future.

Good food and service, but only when dining in. If you order to-go, the kids haven't figured that part out, yet, especially if you order online. The app will tell you "they will let you know when your food is ready" and "someone will bring your food out to your car (curbside pickup) shortly." Nope. Never gonna happen.

Get there 10 minutes before the online app says the food will be ready, go inside, ask three times after watching them try to read the receipts stapled to the bag four times, and then take your food and go.

Seriously, ordering to-go (or GrubSouth) isn't worth it. Just eat in the restaurant. It's a much better experience.

Great seating. Great variety. Homey environment. Quick service. It's our favorite place to grab dinner as a family (take out portions are huge!) or sit down for a drink with a friend. Prices have gone up recently, but the quality has stayed the same. Their shrimp and shredded chicken are so well-marinated and cooked! Even my kids eat the food... So that's a win!

Such delicious tex mex! My family loved their fajitas, enchiladas, and chimichanga etc! However take note their“spicy” dishes aren’t really spicy - their “spicy” chili colorado didn’t have a hint of spice! For this half Latina from El Paso, I definitely missed the spice! Otherwise, wonderful tex mex food ! Friendly staff and pleasant atmosphere. Loved the star shaped lighting inside the restaurant. We will be back!!

Came here to watch the U.S. Women's National Team. I should have known to walk right out when a "Mexican" restaurant isn't showing soccer and has one of the TVs on a network drama. They said they don't get the channel the game was on (a major network). According to the Dish website they do. They just didn't want to change the channel. I'm betting if a Men's World Cup game was on TV they would have it on. Clowns.

Excellent food and service. The Carne Asada is seasoned perfectly and tender. The nacho dish with pineapple and guacamole is delicious. The beer is ice cold - and gigantic! Overall a great place to eat.

Decor is nice. We were seated in a booth right next to the bathroom and were swarmed by flies during our meal. Service was a bit slow - but that's to be expected on a Friday night. Food was remarkably bad. Their famous marinated chicken was dry, chewy and tasteless. I give them credit for not going light on the chicken in my daughter's chicken quesadilla, but the fact that she removed all the chicken before eating it suggests she shared my opinion of their chicken. The food is wonderful! We've been in the area maybe a month now and have eaten her a few times. My only issue, witch is small ... but service is 50/50. Either the wait staff is on top of it or they are standing around talking and not paying attention. Don't get me wrong, it isn't bad...it's just consistent.

We have been searching for the best local Mexican restaurant and I think we found it! Prices are fair and food is really great. Not to mention the beautiful decor and friendly staff

Every time I have visited this location, two things; 1. It's always packed; once it was about a 15 minute wait standing near the entrance for a table. 2. Even with that said I have never left disappointed that I chose to come here.

The food is good, and the service is as well. The interior of this location is amazingly colorful and interesting. A unique experience to say the least.

Awesome food and service! Steak was cooked to my preference. Didn't care for the tea, too sweet. But long Island tea was delicious! Music inside a bit loud, but not unbearable.
