Very, quiet and calm atmosphere. Service was kind of slow, but we didn’t mind. The salsa and cheese dip were my favorite appetizers. Food came out not too long after ordering, we enjoyed everything. Staff were very friendly and attentive!

This is the absolute worse Mexican food I’ve ever ordered. I say ordered because I could not eat it. This is the first ever online review I’ve ever done. I got the three chicken soft tacos and the chicken was so rubbery and plain it could not be eaten. The worse! I ordered two entrees that came with rice and beans. There was only one side of each delivered. Plenty of chips (2 bags full) no salsa .
Never again.

Nice atmosphere. Food was good. Nice portion sizes. The guacamole with chips was the best appetizer. Only four stars because the salsa could have been way better. It didn't taste homemade. We had a nice time .

I had the Guatemala steak and ceviche tostada. Both were amazing. It was one of the best meals I've had in a long time. The service was fantastic today as always. 👍👍

Anywhere you find a 4.8 or better stars attention should be paid. It means it’s a good place. This is a GREAT place. Absolutely fantastic authentic Mexican food. Street tacos are just like the taco trucks of Sanora. If you are debating where to get Mexican food in this town end the search. So good!!

Sometimes you want to have a simple experience. This place is it. Simple. The environment was casual. Greeted promptly and asked for 4 tacos and I kid you not, within 5 minutes order was ready.. asked for a to-go order as well and 5 minutes later, it arrived bo questions made it so simple. They bring the usual red salsa and chips, simple which isn't a bad thing. They do offer two different types that come in a self pour bottle as well. Also, we were pleased with the waitress did an amazing job making things, simple.

Long story short;

Simply great.
Good service.
Good timing.
Great food.

We got the traditional molcajete with elote and a poblano relleño on the sides. My other favorites here are the campechano tacos and de lengua tacos with tomatillo sauce. This is by far the best place in Oxford for good Mexican food!

Good food, good atmosphere and good service. Their guacamole is very good! The shrimp chimichangas are HUGE! Friendly staff that go out of their way to ensure that you've got what you need to have a good experience. Everything we've tried here so far has been amazing. Highly recommend!

The food is good, but the quantity for the price isn't. The customer is charged for every little thing. The customer isn't told there's an upcharge if you're not paying with cash.

My experience at this restaurant was below standard. When I arrived, no one greeted me and guided me to a table. There was no sign guiding customers to find their own seat. After seating down, it took the server 15 minutes to greet me. Without going into many details, my experience after ordering food, only got worse by the minute. We were given our check, we waited for the server to return to pay but she never returned. Additionally, there was no one at the register.

This restaurant was our go to since moving further away for El Agave. Service has been terrible over the past few months! I continued to say it would be our last time. Every week, we eat Mexican. I recently ordered takeout, and when I got home, there was no cheese dip or salsa. My husband returned with the wrong order after waiting an hour for four tacos, beans, rice, and cheese dip tonight. (Although he did check, he did not count or open tacos.)

I once love this place. Been awhile since I had a chance to stop by. Nothing was as good as I remembered. My childs chicken nuggets were burnt. Something in the chips and salsa tasted off. Like a chemical. There was a hair on my plate. The food was just ok and took way too long to come out. As did everything. Ie. Getting drinks, ordering, getting the ticket...ext. I am 99% sure the pico was more then 2 days old. I did not see an adult staff member the entire time that we were there which may be part of the problem. I'm sure the rising costs of goods is not helping their situation either. I do wish them good luck but will probably not be back.

Needed quick take-out @ the bewildering Oxford AL Route 78; This place Y'd me.

This place authentic Mexi; they operate this place with precision, meticulousness, and kindness.
My first time, not my last. The Grilled Shrimp Salad was perfect

Truly dug the art and ambiance of this pad; will be talking it up on next trip :)

Be prepared to wait though, place v busy.
Know the portion sizes Huge,
(& btw- the chicken soup full meal, contains whole drumsticks ?? )

Can't vouch for the food, but the service is horrible. Placed a call in order about 45 minutes before arriving. Got there and gave up after approximately 15 minutes of being ignored by employees.

This place is usually one of my favorites but today was god awful!!! No alcohol in my margarita it tasted like straight strawberry puree with margarita salt all in the bottom of my glass, I ordered birria tacos but I however did not get birria tacos, and they have no AC at the moment so it’s was unbearably hot to try and eat there. Also ordered cheese dip and never received any AT ALL! Don’t think I’ll be back for a while…

I got my usual, the quesabirria. It did not taste good today. I don't know if they changed the recipe but the soup was bland, there was hardly any cheese on the birrias and the meat tasted unseasoned. Again, this is my favorite from Jalisco's. Customer service was okay. The young lady appeared to be annoyed by me asking questions about two meals I paid for. On the website with door dash, the menu states that a side of rice comes with the quesabirria. She pulled out the menu to show me that it does not. I stopped her because I know their menu. I was just letting her know online that it is what the menu says ONLINE. I think I'm done spending my money there. Ill be going to an authentic spot up the street.

The food was ok, I was over charged for cheese on a taco, and charged a to go fee. And they didn’t want to give me my receipt. All I got was a 2 tacos, rice and beans and a drink and was charged 20$. Seems they charge some more than others. Probably won’t ever come back.

Literally the worst Mexican place I have ever been to in Alabama. The service was slow, their servers were nice but we were left unattended for long stretches of time. We arrived around 1pm and we left at almost 2pm our food had not arrived. The server apologized for the wait but with the place not being busy and the lack of checking up I was furious. We left the table to go up and pay for the drink and small cheese dip we got and it was 23 dollars for a small cheese dip, and ONE Margarita. WAYYY OVER PRICED. When the manager finally came out and was wondering why we were leaving we said we had been there almost an hour and just wanted to go elsewhere. I’ve worked in the industry before so I understand a busy place but when there are like 10 customers there is no reason to have the service so bad and the food takes too long. Never again. Dining out is a luxury at that moment and we will not be giving them anymore business. Please note my husband also sat and watched several employees just standing around before the desk just standing and talking while we sat for an hour trying to may salsa and cheese dip hold us over.

I ordered a togo 3 item combo and asked if they made the chili reallanos there. He replies yes and it was 2 bell pepper halves with meat and some cheese.Not a true child reeallano.The salsa sucks and threw the rest in the trash. Won’t be back because I can make better stuffed bell peppers than they can for sure!

Great looking spot.
I’d rather have Quiznos tho.
It was great when it opened,
Then it was bad,
Now; it’s bad again.
I went because they remodeled and were suppose to be doing a new menu. Ordered the elote.
There idea of elote is a boiled corn cob, Mayo, and Parmesan cheese.
I’d stick with the basics if you come here. Tacos. Nothing else.

Every time I order food they just give me whatever they one I ask for what I want and I always get whatever they feel to give me . Food is horrible the only things is good are the street tacos but everything else is not worth it. ☹️☹️☹️☹️

Zero stars do not eat here. They have roaches. One was on our table and we had to kill it and it took the waiter 10 minutes to come get the dead roach. We asked for the manager and no one came out. Then we saw another roach crawling on the adjacent table and finally one waiter came and was acting blind to see the roach crawling on the chair leg. When we asked to just pay for what we ate they charge us full price for our meals plus a fee for using debit cards. We told them again about the roach and they discounted us just the lousy 10% tax. I will not be back service was very horrible. What an embarrassment for me and my coworkers!

They have the best street tacos in oxford. It is hard to find good authentic tacos. They are amazing! However, the service has been terrible every single time we go. The staff is so slow. It doesn't matter if you are the only table in the building, they will not hurry. It is so frustrating but the food keeps us going back.

Poor customer service and racism. Me and my family came to the restaurant a hour before closing time we were serviced by a young Hispanic girl who acted like she didn't want to service us. But when it came to the ticket I asked if I can get dessert but her excuse was "oh the fry cooks are closing up" I'm like oh ok which I know isn't true because when other customers came in she service them food that literally came from the fryer.

I had the veggie fajitas. Came out sizzlin. I didn't see horchata on the menu but I asked and they have it. Everything tasted great and I got free refills on the salsa too. More food than I could possibly eat for a good price.

The food at Jalisco's is good. The staff is punctual and attentive. My favorite meal at Jalisco's is the Pechuga Hawaiana meal. It is delicious. The pineapples are my favorite part of the dish.
