They have a very beautiful setup. Our server was nice and attentive. Our chips and salsa were delicious. I ordered a burrito, and my sister ordered fajitas. It was the same exact food just put on the plate differently, and hers was better portions and a better price. Our entrees were extremely bland. We both had to salt our food. We don't typically use salt. They need to quit playing it safe and season their food.

I ordered lunch menu #22 Toastaguac, Chili Rellano and a Taco. The Taco didn’t make it to the table with my meal. As I was eating I found a black tomato stem and a black spot on my slice of tomato. Food didn’t taste right or good. Manager offered refund or food voucher. Photo attached showing floor of restaurant with plate.

Absolutely horrible! I eat Mexican food, at least, once a week, grew up in Texas, so I know good Mexican food, and this was the worst I have EVER eaten! Ordered fajitas for two, totally tasteless, almost a strange twang! The onions didn't even have ant flavor! Went for the lunch Buffet and was extremely satisfied for our first visit. Enjoyed it so much we went back for Friday night supper and was just as pleased with food, service, and atmosphere.

I gave them a star for service. I ordered the #20 combination plate which should have been a beef taco, beef burrito ans a chile relleno. I received a taco. A flour tortilla filled with ground beef nothing else and a ball filled with beef mush ans a 1/2" x 1/2" slice of green pepper. Nothing close to a chile relleno.

I've been eating here since I moved to the Calhoun area in 2009. The food is always great, and the atmosphere is nice.
I judge my Mexican restaurants based on the salsa and Mexican rice. This place has both.

Nothing special. The building draws yoy in, but itnis just the americanized version of mexican plates. You have tasted this exactly already.

Ate here yesterday because it was close to our hotel. I am from AZ and my Husband from MX. I ordered a chile relleno that had no cheese and one small piece of chile. The enchiladas were made with flour tortillas. Idk what part of MX serves food like this but wasn't something we liked. Lunch special prices were very cheap under $10

We had a rude waiter, waited for a longer then usual for him to take our order for drinks, he rushed us with our order and we didn't get our cheese dip till our meals came out..waited on drink refills. Bad experience. Use to be my favorite place.

Very delicious! The chile toreado was perfect. Excellent made from scratch salsa and chorizo cheese dip. The bartender made me a really tasty skinny margarita. Can't go wrong eating here.

I ordered a fajitas for 1 they did NOT bring it out in a sizzling dish. They brought it out on a plate with my rice and vegetables it was all on 1 plate seriously. I asked for a manager she told me a fajitas for being coming out like this for 2 years now I sent it back paid for my drinks and left. I have never gotten a fajitas on a regular plate with my rice and vegetables EVER. My waiter was very rude even after I was being nice to him they cater to a certain ethnicity and others aren't welcome 4rl.

Date night with hubs. Food was excellent and hot!! (Temp not spice). I got chicken and beans nachos. 😋 Hubs got enchilada supreme. Price was great. Service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive.

Walked in the door at 10 minutes after 9 and the hostess told us the restaurant was closed. The door says open until 10:30 and there were no signs posted on the door saying closed. Terrible business ethic so hope the one star helps your business out. Also I am a disabled veteran.

I'm 41 yo. I've been going to "Los" as far as I can remember. Los has been in Oxford/Anniston longer than any other Mexican restaurant in Calhoun County. In my opinion, Los is the best. Los is better than all the new franchise restaurants at the Oxford exchange.

2023: The service was adequate at at best. It didn't seem like the waiter understood Spanish or English and the carne asada was way over cooked. Haven't been here in a couple years and I can say I won't be making a detour to come eat here any time soon, but I will give them another chance.

2019: I've eaten here multiple times. This visit was the best one yet. The steak was cooked perfectly in the steak bistec and the plate was hot enough to keep the rice hot until I was done with my meal.

Went to Los Mexicanos for the first time today on lunch and it was a good experience. Was greeted immediately and seated. Our server came immediately after sitting to providing chips salsa and took our drink order. After a few minutes we placed our order I had the number 15 on the lunch menu. My food was hot and tasty. Overall a good laidback environment, with good service, and good food. Lunch prices were very reasonable for two people. Recommended

The food is delicious here . I have been to this restaurant only a handful of times in the past 5 years because the servers are so rude. We decided to go again recently to give it another chance because surely all the staff can’t be rude, however I was very wrong .
I have two kiddos and I requested a booth after the server almost put us at a table (it was not busy at all) I guess that ticked him off because he would only respond to my husband after that , after my husband placed his order , I placed my kids order and he walked away without taking my order , I had to call after him to get him to come back. He looked annoyed and he would refill everyone’s cup but mine. There was also a leaky roof and water was splashing everywhere .

This place used to be really great, but today I went back for the first time in a few years and was disappointed with how bland the food was. Their prices are too high for food of poor quality. I ordered the falutas and the chicken inside them were hardly seasoned and dry, they were completely bare served beside reheated rice that tasted like it was from the day before, and the cashier could only say “that’s how they come”, which is kinda crazy for it being $13+. You’re better off making dinner plans elsewhere. :/

We eat here about once a week sometimes more! Los Mex has been a staple around here from the time we were just a small town till now a big city and they have kept things on their menu in perfection for 20+ years! One of the best Mexican restaurants in the U.S.

This was my first visit at Los Mex. The cheese dip was good and not watered-down. The beef really had no taste because it wasn't seasoned. The salsa was to spicy for me. Overall I'd give it a 3 out of 5!!

I had one of the salads...got 2 meals off it and it was delicious. My husband said his was good but he's had better (he's picky about his Mexican food though). Chips, salsa and cheese dip were good. Good atmosphere, plenty of room. We were there probably an hour visiting friends and weren't made to feel rushed at all. Food came out in good time also.

Asked for chicken and ended up still getting ground beef. No drink specials or happy hour is also a bit disappointing and the food was a little more on the bland side for tex-mex. This past weekend we had family traveling through going to a wedding and agreed we would all meet at Los Mexicanos. I called ahead and they told us that my husband and I could seat early to accommodate the 8 of us............A wide assortment of menu items were ordered and I was amazed to see things I've never ordered before but probably will now in the future. All of our out-of-town family said it was one of the best Mexican Restaurants they had ever eaten at. The chips were warm, the salsa was spicy and our waiter did all he could to accomodate everyone. ONCE AGAIN, after more than 30 years, Los Mexicanos proved to us that they are one of the best restaurants in all of Calhoun County. WHY go somewhere else when you can get superior food, with superior service and at reasonable prices?

The service was awesome and the restaurant was clean both inside and out. Was legit some of the best Mexican food I've had in a very long time. Minor complaints the tortillas were not made from scratch but that's literally all I would change about this place. I would recommend to anyone.

Hands down the Best Mexican restaurant in the Oxford, Anniston area, I think most locals know this, if you are traveling between Atlanta and Birmingham, get off I 20 and find this restaurant, only a few minutes of the Interstate, you will not be disappointed, service and food are second to none.
