This place is adorable. I absolutely love the decorations on the inside. We got there for an early dinner. We had amazing service and the food was really good. My only complaint would be about the salsa and chips. The salsa tasted more like tomato sauce than salsa. The chips were just hard and not warm. BUT I did eat them, so it wasn't horrible. My food was amazing, though. We ordered the flautas and carne asada. Big portions and delicious. The margarita was delicious and worth the 12 bucks. Medium was 9.99, so I went with bigger. I didn't get a picture of the menu, but they have a lot & a full service bar. Always a plus when the bathrooms are clean and cute, too. We came with a trailer, and the parking lot was perfect for bigger vehicles. It is located near a shopping center.

Me and the wife eat out a lot, and all over. And I have to say that I could have never guessed that some of the best Mexican food we have ever had would be in Oxford, Al. This place is absolutely unbelievably stupendous! From the food, to the drinks, to the service. Everything was GREAT! I asked the server if this was a chain, sadly it is not. We were in town for a graduation, but we will definitely be back here if EVER in the area.

I enjoyed the slightly stuffy but festive interior and the comfortable chairs. The vegetarian section is small but includes the standard lacto-vegetarian dishes. The service was fast and friendly.

Headed home from vacation, we were searching for a lunch place and we hit the jackpot. The prices were great and so was the food. $36 fed three of us with water to drink, and we left with a full to-go box.

The salsa seems to have a hint if thyme that I hadn't had elsewhere and I loved it. You are served a communal basket of chips and an individual vessel for the salsa (the waitress pours the salsa for you). Don't be afraid to ask for hot sauce. The mole they bring out is delicious on everything!

I had the burrito supreme sans lettuce. The ground beef was EXCELLENT. So much better than anywhere else I've eaten! My daughter got the two taco meal and she agreed that the meat was so, so good. Our lunch partner ordered the carnitas and was reluctant to share because he liked it so much. There were a few large pieces of fat served on his plate that looked like meat, so beware before taking a bite if you don't prefer the fatty pieces. We collectively agreed that the refried beans were very good and we thought them being served in a shell was cool. None of us preferred the rice, so we would substitute it next time. It was a bit watery and didn't have any flavor during our visit.

The decor was fun and funky and gave the restaurant great ambiance. The restrooms were very clean, too. Our next trip through will include another stop in!

My husband and I set out for a new dining experience. We wanted all things new. New place. New food. He has never been an enchilada fan. (He is now.) He ate the shrimp enchilada. His words, "I would eat this again." I had the beef chili poblano rellano. Delicious!
The only thing I didn't like was the salsa. Too sweet yet salty. So I just ate the warm chips.

Great food! The house margarita was very good. The reception & wait staff was very attentive & friendly. It was very noisy when we arrived. The noise level decreased as the dining crowd decreased. I’d definitely eat here again.

Just want to say that I'm very impressed. Top notch staff, with solid display of good character. The food is absolutely amazing, some of the best in town.100% best Mexican Restaurant for a long long ways. Rivals South Florida Mexican food in terms of quality, which I personally have found to be the best qaulity in the US. You don't get this type of excellence in a restaurant overnight, so I imagine the owners and staff have worked very hard to achieve a special experience for their guests. You cannot go wrong with Mexico Lindo!

Unfortunately this place is GIVING White People Taco Night. The atmosphere might be nice but the food is almost too salty to eat. The refried beans only tasted of salt and the salsa desperately needed some garlic and onion. I ordered a beef burrito and I'm still trying to figure out why the beef was covered in taco seasoning. If I had ordered a taco at my neighbor's house I cound understand. Taco seasoning just doesn't belong in a burrito.

NOW I STOPPED GOING TO THIS PLACE YEARS AGO BECAUSE THEY STOP SERVICING DRINK SPECIALS BUTTTTT. We went in only to get some drinks for my husband's 32th birthday. Special day and we havent been in years thought maybe they changed up again..... yahh no! Problem 1. They do not have prices on their drink menus! #2 The service was terrible and all wanted was a drink for him! The server did not seen to care that we were celebrating nor did he help recommend anything. I was a server for 4 years this was awful services! #3 He charged us $20 for one large drink that looked like the middle size glass! We could have gotten a pitcher from another place or spent our money at the liquor store. WE WILL NEVER GO BACK AGAIN! Folks were rude and seen not to care about their BLACK customers! Then look on Google and they have a 4.7 rating HOW!!

I asked the Mexican gentlemen who were roofing our house where they like to eat. They all said, without hesitation, Mexico Lindo, in Oxford. We have eaten there several times and find it to be delicious and normally priced. It is always clean too. I highly recommend it.

You cannot beat their chili poblanos - best anywhere. My favorite is stuffed with shrimp.
This has been our family celebration place since they opened 15+ years ago.
If you’re visiting Oxford, this is the Best Mexican restaurant in town. Everything on the menu is delicious.

In short - bland and overpriced. Ordered "Chiles Rellanos" - what they don't tell you is their Chiles Rellanos are actually Horno - baked. Not fried. No filling except bland ground beef (or chicken if you order that. I got beef). Not like traditional breaded or coated Chiles Rellanos. Salsa was pretty bland, too. Chips were at least fresh, but minimal salt. My buddy ordered Carne Asada and it looked (and seemed to cut) like grilled beef jerkey. Oh, and WAY overpriced alcohol - $10 for a shot of 1800 and $10 for a mediocre at best House Margarita. But really cool atmosphere 🤷‍♂️

It’s overpriced and the food is bland. I ordered fajitas and they didn’t even have salt on them. It would have been more satisfying to eat dry toast and it wouldn’t have cost me nearly $20.00.

This is the first Mexican restaurant we went to when we moved here. It's still our favorite around here. They have amazing food and the atmosphere is really nice as well. We've tried other Mexican restaurants around here but this is the best!

Over priced! Over priced! Avoid! Their "large" margaritas which are by no means large are $20. Other restaurants you can get a true large for $14. Food is mediocre and not worth the prices. Will never visit again.

Had a late lunch/early dinner with my sister, at her suggestion. (She's in the restaurant business.)
Service was Excellent and the Food was Good.
I had the chicken fajitas and she had the Chimi Rica. Had a large bowl of queso with dinner and bag of chips to go.
With two beers, the meal was $55 plus tip.

If you're on I-20 and/or in the Oxford, AL area and in the mood for Mexican, definitely recommend.

We've been going here once a week since they opened but the last 3 times we went, they have gone downhill! We went on Tuesday night around 4:15 to give them one last try and there were only a few people there so we figured we'd get our food fast. We ordered fajitas for 2 and tacos for my son. We were served Chips and salsa right away as usual. Chips were cold and very hard and the salsa was very thin and runny. We just ate what we could of that while waiting for our meals. We had to wait at least 30-40 minutes before we got our food which is much slower than their usual time and much slower than other Mexican restaurants! We knew why food was so delayed when we started eating it, they had let it set so long and then reheated it to the point that the chicken and steak was very dry and tough! The vegetables in with it were very slimy! We ate very little of it but still paid and vowed not to go back again! As far as my son's tacos, when he picked them up to bite into them, they completely fell apart because they were so soggy! Grease from the hamburger had soaked into the shells so bad! Our waiter was a short, older gentleman who walked very slow. We had to get help from a lady who came by. I'm assuming it was a manager because she fussed at our waiter for not checking on us enough. We said we weren't happy with the food but the waiter just frowned and walked off! We tried to tell the lady who came by but she just told him what we said, probably hoping he would offer to replace it but he never offered to. He just kept disappearing. Everytime we have eaten there and he has waited on us, we've had terrible service. He doesn't seem to want to work or be concerned if you are satisfied with your meal or not! We really tried to be fair and give them many chances to get better but it only gets worse everytime we go! It's a shame because they used to be so great! Evidently they don't have the same management as before. We paid over $70 and left a good tip even though the waiter was terrible and lazy! Never again will we waste our money on such inferior food and terrible service! Hopefully they will read this and make much needed improvements.

Food is delicious! I am a senior citizen and normally eat small portions. Most of the time, they allow me to order off the kid’s menu (many restaurants have a senior/kid menu). For those who don’t…they should! Needless to say, tonight our waiter would not allow me to order from the kid’s menu, so I ordered a chimichanga ala cart. When my plate arrived, it had rice, beans, a salad AND a chimichanga. Way too much food. I wanted him to recheck my order. Of course, it was a full meal. I really have no complaint, except to allow seniors to order form the smaller menu.

I got shrimp tacos with corn tortillas instead of flour and added plenty of cilantro and lime juice! Pair it with a strawberry margarita and you'll have a fantastic time!
