I went there tonight 12/06/24 to eat with my wife and son. After we had our food I was given the check and I thought 69.41 was a little much for two adults and a child so I took the check up to the register to have it broken down for me since it was a hand written check and I couldn’t understand it. An older woman came to the register, who was not my waiter, and I asked her to break it down for me. She started doing that and after she said a few things I asked a question about it and she said wait, wait in a very aggressive manner and I let it go the first time. She continued to go down the check and when she was almost done I asked another question and she said, again in an aggressive manner, I said to wait and I said you don’t have to be rude about it I just needed you to explain this to me. So she finished and walked off and my waiter had made it to the cash register at that time. He asked me if I needed help and I just told him I needed someone to break down the check because I thought it was a little much. He said you ordered it and nothing is free and you have to pay. I told him I never said I wouldn’t pay but I needed someone to explain the check to me. He said again nothing is free and I need to pay and if I don’t like it I do t have to come back and he doesn’t care. I told him I damn sure wouldn’t be coming back with how rude him and the other woman were. He ran my card crumpled up my receipt and walked away before I even filled out the tip or total. I will say this I will never go back to blue agave.

This was my first time to Blue Agave. I found the service to be terrible. The employees were more preoccupied with their cell phones. I had to ask for a drink, more napkins, more salsa, and even more tortilla chips. If the waiter had come around and checked on us at least once, he would have seen that we needed these things. It's pretty bad when you have to get up from the table and go find them to ask for these things. Who knows, maybe it was just a bad night for them. The food was okay. I had the street tacos, and i wasn't impressed.

Beware of this restaurant. This restaurant likes to charge you for everything. Talk about nickel and dime you to death. Want a to-go cup, they will charge you a $1.00.Need a to-go spoon $1.00. Condiment size cheese dip for a topping $1.99 or side cheese sauce $2.99. Condiment size of extra hot salsa $2.00. The menu price is average but just beware of the extra charges. No sharing-No sharing is all over the menu. Create your own lunch, but can’t choose the same item twice. You can get a free chips and salsa with the order of a meal, without will cost $3.99. We will not be going back. Fun fact there is always another Mexican restaurant close by.

Didn't have a very good visit today. That is out of character for this place. Food quality was not up to par as it usually is. Service attentiveness was off. There were only three tables including mine eating there for lunch. Every time my wife and I visit there is new help. We will be back and I hope improvements will be made.

Kind of sucks when you haven’t got any time away from the kids so you take a chance on a business and spend $50 (for 2) just to get bad service and cold food. The only people there too and the waitress was too busy flirting to tend to us the whole time or even take your order. I don’t get it!

$12 for a large queso (as much as an entree) and it’s cold. Plus Chips stale.
Had to ask for everything and even hunt the waitress down. She even forgot to bring our to go box we asked for. 6/11 at around 4pm

Hoping your business can grow from this review and not lose more business

Their rice and cheese is awesome. Prices are affordable and food is usually quick and fresh.

Update: their rice and cheese is still delicious. However, today I placed a call in order. They told me 10 minutes. I arrived maybe 20 minutes after I placed the order and had to wait an additional 20 minute and my order was wrong. No apologies were given and I wasn't told that there was a delay with my order until I asked. So I am updating to say they are no longer fast.

This is THE BEST authentic Mexican restaurant in Ozark! Whenever I visit my hometown I usually skip on Mexican food here because it's not good at all, but I'm so glad my little brother showed me this place because it's now my go to when I'm in town and want some Mexican food. Strawberry Daiquiri, Margherita, and food was great except for the taco salad was very bland. It had lettuce, chicken and 4 pieces of tomato. Add some cheese or corn salsa to it. Look up different ideas for ingredients. Add a few black beans for protein. The taste was good just needed more ingredients. My friends had great dishes. Chips and Salsa were phenomenal. You can ask for hotter sauce and it is extremely hot. Would definitely recommend this establishment.

Heard about this little gem in Ozark the other day. Being that my wife is a Mexican food freak we rode up to check it out and weren't disappointed. Looks like it's in an old bar. Don't remember what used to be in that spot. It was clean and cozy inside. Enjoyed the homemade guac and fish tacos were spot on. Wife was pleased with her steak tacos. Service was good and food was fantastic. We'll definitely go back.

Food was good especially the salsa but what got me is the lady owner stealing money that was just handed to her & then acting as if she didn't do it. Why would anyone eat at an establishment obviously filled with thieves. It's sad because we really thought we found a new dine in spot but after watching it happen to a customer wow I mean just wow!

I was buying a new truck and asked where a good restaurant was as I had never been in Ozark. The salespeople recommended Aguava, and we are so glad they did. It's a small but homey restaurant and the food was amazing. I had their burrito supreme, and my friend had their chicken enchiladas with beans and rice. The burrito was delicious and very flavorful, and their guacamole was homemade. The chips were warm, and the salsa had a nice kick to it. My friend said the enchiladas were like none she had ever tasted, but one was chicken, and one was beef. She doesn't usually like beef, but she said the beef was actually really good, and the meat didn't have a weird taste like the Mexican restaurants have. I've never known what that meant, but I'm glad she enjoyed it. She did say later that the beans gave her so extreme gas. I told her that's real beans from a real can. I dont know if that's true or not. We laughed. But none the less it was an excellent dining experience with excellent food. The service was fast, the food was hot, and we never had to wait for refills or for our ticket.

I walked in and they were busy with a guest so I waited because I also work in a restaurant and I know how it is. As I waited 2 women walked in behind me. When the server was done with her guest she looked at the women and sat them instead of me. Then proceeded to walk past me and never acknowledge I was even in the restaurant. I will not be going back.

The food was very bland, there was very little cheese on my nochos, the service was horrible, I had to ask for hot sauce 4 times, they never asked if we wanted our drinks refilled and they were very slow. The first time I went to Blue Agave, I ordered green chicken enchiladas. I wasn't quite impressed with them, however, I did grow up on the border and was a bit spoiled when it came to authentic Mexican food. The second time, I tried the tortilla soup and chicken street tacos; the tortilla soup lacked flavor, but the tacos were delectable. I'd definitely recommend the tacos to anyone looking for authentic Mexican food. I only gave 4 stars because I wish the other dishes were more enjoyable. But, like I said, I am more picky when it comes to Mexican food, so I believe most people would/will enjoy the dishes that I did not find impressive. Overall, this is the best Mexican restaurant in Ozark!

The rice was good and that’s about all that it had going for this place. I got the carne asada to share with my 3 year old and it was so thick and dry that it was barely even edible (unless you wanted to chew one bite for 20 minutes). The other people in our group said their meat was also dry. We got our carne asada about 10 minutes after everyone else as well. I brought my concern up about the meat as we were checking out and the only thing the waitress said was that I should have told her about it when she came by which was literally 2 minutes after we got our food and I hadn’t touched it yet. If they would have been more understanding I MAY have gone again but it’s not worth it.

The service was really good, and the atmosphere was a nice change from the standard larger Mexican restaurants (of which their competition down the road presents). The food was average at best, lacking any stand-out flavor and no sign of heat anywhere, plus it came so quick that I feel the meat was rushed... with the toughness of the meat reflecting that. The margaritas we had were overpriced for their size (and it was on special!) with barely a hint of any of the fun ingredient.
