Los Maya's Prattville

Came in with a large group and was seated right away. The usual chips and salsa was served. The salsa appeared to be just tomatoes blended up. Salt and pepper were added to make it tolerable. I was told by someone in our group who had eaten here before it was better last time. Ok everyone has an off day from time to time. The server came out and took our order. He was prompt but it appeared today was not a good day for him. Again we all have our off days. He was never rude or un attentive at any time. The food came out and everyone in the group found their plates to be as ordered and delicious. With all the choices for Mexican food in town this place is a good choice. I encourage you to try it out for yourself.

I love Mexican food and there are a lot of options in the Montgomery / Prattville area. Most are ok but not special. Los Maya's was recommended to me so was curious to test them out. I was pleasantly surprised and say that this is one of the better places I have had the pleasure to visit. The service was very good and prompt and the food was very flavorful and good. The only issue I had was the steak that was part of the meal was over cooked but it was cut so thin it was hard to not overcook it. We had 5 different proteins and they were all good in their own way. I really liked the queso and the margarita😁

I had the chicken fajita potato & it was bland, no flavor...ask for extra onions & peppers, didnt get them but was charged for them (2.95), was also charged 12.95 for the potato...it was supposed to be 9.95, I also asked for extra cheese dip but never received it. Our waitress was good & made sure the table was cleared of extra plates but the food was subpar. The best thing were the margarita flights...cheap liquor in them but still the best thing we had tonight. I was overcharged by almost $6, so check your tickets when you go. I'd go again for the margarita flights.

First time eating here and we enjoyed it all! Salsa, Chips and Queso were very good. My daughter ordered the Fajita Chicken Chimichanga with Rice and it was huge! I ordered the Shredded Chicken Chimichanga with Rice and Beans and I couldn't finish it because I was so full! We will definitely be going back again very soon!

I go to Los Mayas to eat fairly often and although I usually buy small meals, they never have a problem bringing chips and salsa to my table. Today I attempted to place a to-go order for cheese dip and a chicken/cheese quesadilla. I was told I would not get the salsa “because you’re only ordering one quesadilla.” When I explained it’s no different than when I come in to eat, she reluctantly said ok I can give you some salsa. So I just cancelled the order. Cheap attitude from the restaurant. Not everyone wants to gorge themselves on $30 worth of food and alcohol every meal. I eat there usually 2-4 times a month but I’m considering not coming back ever.

The Texas Fajitas are the closest thing I have found to Tex Mex. Get the hot Salsa and add to regular salsa. Get the questions and have jalapeños added. The skinny Margarita is freshly made and tastes amazing.

I got the "Shrimp Salad" which quite literally ended up being a microwave veggie medley bag if carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower with some shrimp mixed in. Very poor flavor combination. I ordered queso with my chips as another reviewer raved was so good. Unfortunately, the server never brought it. "Top Shelf Margarita" was a huge let down as well.

Terrible service. We were given a basket of chips that was mostly just crumbs. We saw a female staff member scooping bags of chips and my son walked up to her and asked for another bag since ours was just crumbs. Instead of just scooping some up she was telling my son that someone else would have to do that. He walked back to our table explaining what just happened and then she walked up to me pointing to someone. IDK. Weird as all get out. She spent way longer explaining and pointing than if she had just scooped some of those thick thick thick chips in a basket. Anyways. We just left and went somewhere else. They lost a lifetime of business here

Don’t come here for drinks Drank a whole pitcher with a friend and it was so much huh Ice and basically just sour mix . And we didn’t feel a single thing. And took them 30 min to give us our check.

Terrible. Food is flavorless and chips are thick enough to chip a tooth. Server seemed annoyed the entire meal. Best to avoid this place and go somewhere where your patronage might be appreciated.

Went in with my family today come all the time. Manager or owner I talked to was very rude and disrespectful. Food was cold and had very hard rice that went with my plate. We will not be going back. Manager or owner wouldn’t even listen to what I had to say. Kept making an excuse and saying this is how he runs his business. Very disappointed!

I honestly wouldn’t even rate this at all but so other people know about the bad service I had to, it took about maybe 30 minutes to an hour for them to ask for our drink orders and when we did it took them another hour just to ask what we would want to eat and once we finally got our food it was dry and tasted like sand from a beach, also when we got in there everyone was side eyeing us and acting like we didn’t belong, the workers looked tired and over worked, honestly I would never come back and hope no one does again.

Great Service...the Cheese Dip and Combination Dinner was just barely warm. The rice and beans were dried out. It all had a good taste just wish it was warmer. My husband loves to eat here...maybe it will be better next time. I will do another review with pictures then. I will call this REVIEW #1.

A very materialist restaurant, went to this restaurant last night with my boyfriend and we only ordered entrees because my boyfriend doesn't drink or eat dairy when the waiter asked if we wanted other items. After our orders, we just got cold eyes and horrible services the whole time. We asked for salsa for the chips, never get them. The food took forever. The supreme quesadilla was literally 4 little pieces of cut quesadillas. When we leave, we got some more cold eyes staring. Very disappointed. Never going back...

My mom & I visited today for lunch. It was the first time we've ever come. The food was really good, the prices were VERY reasonable, & our waitress was super kind and attentive, without being overbearing. Will definitely be coming back. 😎

It was my first time visiting the actual restaurant. I'd had their food previously while attending an event where they were a vendor. I was pleased then with my cheese quesadilla. At the restaurant, I ordered a shrimp fajita quesadilla that came with melted cheese on top. It was okay but I need to try them again before I make a final decision. They sell queso with jalapenos that I plan to try next time.

I have never been here and called 3 separate times to see if dine in was open and they hung up on me every time. If their customer service is that bad over the phone I highly doubt it would be better in person.

A close family member and I were out and about when we decided to go to Los Mayas for lunch. Upon arrival we were greeted cordially, which is one reason we chose Los Mayas. My family member chose a taco salad, and I chose quesadillas. My quesadillas were filled with ground beef and were large and very tasty. This was not our first visit, and it will not be our last.

I would give this restaurant 0 stars if possible. We use to go to this place all the time during lunch since we only have a hour lunch break and its right down the road. We even supported them during COVID and made sure to always tip well no matter the service. However, last week we went and had to carry our food to go due to it taking almost an entire hour just to get our food ( when we asked the owner about it he stated it was because they had to freshly cook the fajita grilled chicken). He then proceeded to inform us that the shredded chicken and taco beef were prepared and stored in a crock pot to keep warm so items made with these items would be prepared very fast. On todays visit 10/19/2020 3 of us ordered food all off the lunch menu with prepared items. 1 of us received Nacho Supreme (beef), the other got 2 shredded chicken enchiladas, and the last person received a shredded chicken taco x2. When we got there at 12:32 we immediately ordered and was the only new table in there at the time that DID NOT have food. At 1:18 we finally received our food. In the time that we was there two other tables came in a two top table and a party of 6. Both tables received their food before we did! At checkout I mentioned something to the OWNER and he basically told me if I didnt like it to just not come! From previous work experience IT IS NEVER a good thing to disregard your paying customers input or to tell them to not come back. If it wasn't or paying customers the doors would not be able to stay open. Very disappointed in the overall experience! This is the reason why some people do NOT support local businesses. I personally will not be returning nor will any of my co-workers. If you dont have 3 hours to spend, I dont recommend going here. Thank you!
