We discovered the place today. The food was awesome and the service great. The Chips and Salsa were absolutely delicious. I had the 3 taco plate. Steak, pork and fish with rice and beans. She had the Polo loco. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. The service was very good. Our waiter brought us samples of their in house teas. Very good.
We will definitely be back!!

Small in size, big in flavor. This place is a hidden gem for sure. Authentic Mexican, great service, nice size menu. Definitely worth the stop. Don't be fooled by the size, next to the gas station. If you miss it, you miss something great! I'm going to go through the entire menu at some point!

Small place with big flavors. This inconspicuous location next to the circle k caught my attention around lunchtime. I drove off but turned around to give it a try. Everything I had was great, the campechanos took the cake though. Birria quesadilla was good too and nobody ever turns their nose up at choriqueso. Price was a little moderate to high but I would say well worth it. Server was nice, place is very clean. 5 stars

As a family we were looking for a close to home taqueria and boy did this place impress us! With an a la carte menu style it also offers a verity of meals for your choosing as well. Serving Pepsi products and a variety of other in house made drink options like the crowd favorite horchata we found ourselves diving into some tacos, in our party we had quesadillas, an order of Birria tacos, shrimp, fish, carne asade, carnitas, pastor, and barbacoa tacos, and we also had carne res loco (pollo loco with steak) and we didn’t have a member of our party that was let down by any of these items, packed with flavor and they give the option of onion and cilantro on any of the tacos not to mention the corn tortillas are made in house, they’re great! Give this place a try if you live local and love tacos! The guacamole de pico pictured is awesome! You just have to get as much as you can on one chip 😂

I love their steak quesadillas! I sometimes order a side of chips with their delicious queso.
I have a new favorite - the quesadilla barbacoa (braised beef)!
If you want to try a traditional Mexican beverage, I recommend a horchata, which is made using rice and cinnamon.

Absolutely amazing find! I stumbled upon this restaurant while ordering on doordash. First order was the Queso Birria combo with a side of chorizqueso with chips, absolutely delicious. Second time was today, I took my wife and she had the steak quesadilla with rice and beans, I had a barbacoa, lengua, tripa, and two chorizo tacos. The only way I can describe what we had was genuinely authentic and absolutely impressive/impeccable flavor. Don't think, just try it!!!

Food was 2 out of 5. Tacos were really bland lacked any type of seasoning. Steak was very fatty. More attention to detail needs to go to the food. Customer service was nice and the waitress was very friendly. Probably the worst tacos i've eaten. Will not be returning.

Ok so my favorite food in the world is tacos and I have tried tacos everywhere every chance o get from the most popular places to places that u would never expect and these by FAR were the BEST authentic tacos I've ever had ! Edit I love this place but I ate here today and it was so disappointing. No consistency. When it's good it's the best but when it's not I could get better at taco bell. Honestly y'all please do better. I love this place when it's their best but we actually eat here once a week and noticed it's different every time and that is NOT good. That's what closes doors. Please read this and take good from it bc I want y'all to stay in business when y'all do the good days!

One of the better spots to go to for lunch. Usually quite busy which is always a good thing and finally got my pick for two steak tacos. Cash is King here or it's a 2.5% percent service charge using a credit card. Definitely worth the money to come again.

Hands down, the BEST Tacos in the River Region! They make their own tortillas!! This little gem of a place will make your soul happy! Cannot go wrong with any of the tacos: asada. al pastor, lengua, and shrimp are some of what we tried and we are definitely going to make this a weekly trip. I read good reviews and decided to go with my family, it was surprisingly good food and good service. The carne asada tacos were really good. The music was traditional and great play list and we enjoyed listening to the music while we were eating. The plates have a great size and unbeatable unique flavor! One of my children’s order was slightly wrong but he still loved it! I will definitely recommend this place dine in or to go service!

Wishing it wasn’t a bad review but it is. Was hoping to have a great experience by the reviews honestly but didn’t happen. Felt very uncomfortable from the time I walked in and my boyfriend and I were the only customers. Never asked what kind of drinks no chips and salsa. Made it pretty obvious they were talking about the only customers in the building. Never have felt the way I felt today today in my whole life at a Mexican place. Had to just leave before I made a scene. Not going to waste my money somewhere it’s not wanted. Hopefully they can improve for their other customers. But something needs to be done about places like this.

Steak burrito w/ chorizo cheese dip is my automatic choice. NEVER has been greasy!!! Owner Yuri is very friendly and speaks every time in there! Orchata is pretty delicious, it remind me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch milk but not as sweet! Refreshing! Staff is friendly and cook knows what he’s doing!!

Gather around, boys and girls, and let me tell you about this wonderful and authentic restaurant…

I first tried this mysterious place with my future father-in-law after we were given a tip to try it out from a state trooper friend of ours. It was just me and him for the weekend, as both of our partners had taken a trip to Disney (without us 🤷‍♂️). REGARDLESS, we packed into the truck and headed this way. What awaited us was something we were not expecting, and neither were our taste buds.

A small, quaint little place with Hispanic music playing and scenes from Mexico painted and designed on the walls. The signs were there, and those signs were telling us this place was gonna be FIRE. We both ordered three tacos apiece: pork, chicken, and steak. I found myself wanting more after I had finished all of these delicacies. And to top it all off, homemade sauce made from scratch, *MWAH* my compliments to the chef.

But, this was just one time. Surely it’s just a fluke, right? Come a few weeks later, the ladies are back, so we all go. This time, we try the steak burritos and chicken quesadillas. The results? Out of this world. No other restaurant has been able to top this experience: the food, the service, the feeling, everything.

Tonight, we go again. I try the chicken burrito, and let me tell you something. Come closer…it was the best thing I’ve had out of everything I’ve tried on this menu. And the best part: they gave me a FREE horchata. Have you ever HAD horchata? If you haven’t: 1. How dare you? 2. Don’t try it until you’ve tried there’s. Your taste buds won’t recover if you try someone else’s before there’s.

If I could give them 6 stars, I would. If you see any bad reviews, those people think Taco Bell is authentic and too spicy. Like, really? We love this place. Please stay open forever, and please cater our wedding. 🫶

This place was great! It was a little warm inside, hence the 4/5 for atmosphere, but the food and staff were amazing. Me and my wife wanted to try a horchata or other specialty drink, but were unsure if we'd like it and hesitant to order it. The owner (who also was our server) offered a small sample size for us to try all 3 different drinks. We both got a horchata, and it came in a large cup and was excellent. My wife ordered 2 asada (steak) tacos and 2 pastor (pork) tacos. She liked them so much she ordered 4 more of the pork ones to go for lunch tomorrow. I had the fajita mix (steak, chicken, and shrimp). It came with 5 corn tortillas and a generous helping of homemade guacamole and Pico. We were definitely impressed with the authenticity of the food and sincerity of the staff for our business. We will definitely be spreading the word about this hidden gem and be back to visit very soon!

Tried Taqueria la Parroquia today for lunch after seeing several great reviews on Google. I wasn't disappointed. The staff was friendly and helpful. I got Coca-Cola to drink, look at the bottle in the pictures. I hadn't seen these at Walmart or other Mexican restaurants. Instead of a bowl of salsa, we got a bowl of Pico de Gallo and chips. Pico was fresh and very tasty. I ordered a Chorizo and a fish taco. Both had amazing flavor. A friend had a chicken quesadilla, he loved it. I will be back and will be bringing friends and family.

Great customer service. Convenient location. Prices are what I'd consider reasonable and in line with the quality of the food (which were both authentic & delicious) and generous portions! Side salsas were spicy & flavorful.
The gentleman offered us a taste of their fresh made juice while we waited for our to-go order (free of charge).
Both were refreshing & delicious.

We ordered: Asada Quesadilla, Pastor Burrito w/rice & beans, which it comes with. We will be back!

The carne asada torta I had was seasoned incredibly well and the salsa was spicy and delicious. My wife loved the tacos. This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant in the area. Bonus points because they don't even list ground beef as an option (because that's for taco bell, not for authentic Mexican restaurants). I'll be back often.

This is definitely one of the best taquerias in the Montgomery River Region! The restaurant was clean, the service was fast and friendly, the food was amazing, and the price was great. The fish taco was superb, and the QuesaBirria taco is something you have to try! My whole family enjoyed the meal and experience - we'll be back for sure!

This place is very authentic and we needed that in Prattville. It is a literal hidden gem. I had the birria tacos and they were juicy, tender, and the sauce was amazing. Family Friendly! Enjoyed the dishes. The tacos were amazing and the homemade sauces were unbelievable. I will definitely be back!

My wife and I enjoyed the Chorizo tacos, burria, gorditas, & quesadillas. The mango water was exceptional also. 10/10 will be back again. Friendly staff good service.

recently dined at a restaurant that I had high hopes for, but unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. The portions were extremely small and definitely not worth the price. To make matters worse, the food was incredibly bland and lacked any sort of flavor. It was clear that no effort was put into seasoning or spicing up the dishes.

The tortilla served with the meal was burnt and tasted terrible, which was a huge letdown. Even the beans were gritty, which is something that should never happen in any restaurant. But perhaps the biggest letdown of all was the horchata. It was watery and didn't have any spice, which is not how it's supposed to taste.

Overall, I cannot recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was a complete waste of money and time. Instead, I suggest going to El amigo, where you'll find authentic and flavorful dishes, larger portions, and friendly staff.

Absolutely incredible. Friendly owners. Delicious flavor. Clean restaurant and clean bathrooms. Will be coming here weekly at least. Thank you for opening up and giving me a place to find delicious tacos.
