This restaurant will PUNISH you for a to-go order. Every item you order will incur a 25 cent charge as a to-go fee. If you get a large cheese dip they will ADD a $2.99 to go charge (which is stated on their menu). Their A La Cart Burritos are $3.99 in store, but they charge $5.99 if you order to go as well as a $1 up-charge for steak, and of course the extra $.25 cents. So an A La Cart steak burrito to go will be $7.24, not the $4.99 if you ordered in-store. The food is exactly the same as any other strip mall Mexican restaurant, so at least you know exactly what you'll get, just be sure to know exactly what you'll pay before ordering to go. A cheese dip, burrito, taco salad, and two side tacos should not cost $37 bucks... If you want to spend that much go to Rosie's. If you want actual authentic Mexican in the shoals go to the Taqueria on Florence Boulevard.

This place is...really nice. Between the food and the people - this is an absolutely great spot in its league. Really nice bar as well. Staff is happy to be there, GM is always around making sure all goes well, and the food is just great. 5 stars all the way around.

*Note: Lord Jesus just try the Fajita Mexicana.... it's not hot, but you'll eat so much and it's so good, it'll make ya sweat lol.

I didn’t even know this restaurant existed until I moved close by and wanted to find restaurants near me. It’s amazing, I don’t see how I’ve never heard of it before. All of the dishes are full of flavor and even the plain things like a bean burrito somehow taste better than most Mexican restaurants.

This place is...really nice. Between the food and the people - this is an absolutely great spot in its league. Really nice bar as well. Staff is happy to be there, GM is always around making sure all goes well, and the food is just great. 5 stars all the way around.

The food is good and it gets ready quickly if you order to go. I live close by, so if I pick it up, it's still steaming when I get home. They do excellent chimichangas and their salsa is better than most

Always about the same. You either get order placed right away or there is nobody to be found. Servers gather around the front register while leaving bar guest kind of looking for them for refills. Other than that it’s usually good. Just some constructive criticism is pay attention to bar guest they are usually regulars and tip well.

I had lunch here and the place has worn out busted seats the entire restaurant could use an update. I ordered a chicken and rice and cheese dip. I probably got a child's size plate of food. Food did however come out fast. Chicken was burnt and very bland tasting. Was extremely overpriced for the amount of food I received.

Well I'm posting a little late but I went in on Cinco de mayo with my daughter the place was packed and to be expected and let me tell you I had a seat with in 10 minutes max it was prolly closer to 5 minutes or so all the staff was very polite checked in often drinks were served quick and the food just as quick I'll definitely be back at this one close to home great service and fresh food and it was clean in there

The food was so bland! The cheese dip was watery. There are so many bad things to say and nothing good so I will just leave it at I tried it, hated it, and will never go back. That is probably the nicest thing I could say.

We waited on our food and customers came in awhile after we did got there food. There were 3 of us and only one of us got our food when the other table did. We also were charged 25 cents to place a to go order and we asked to substitute the cheese on our to go order and they charged us for a cheese dip for that substitution. The waitress was extremely friendly and apologized about the others getting theirs before us but charging for an extra cheese dip we didn’t get was wrong. I guess I won’t be going back

I ordered a Togo order of chicken nacho El carbon and steak fajita salad. When I got home everything is wrong. The chicken is in the salad and the steak and El carbon items are in a separate box, chips in a different bag. The beans are in the salad. The fajita stuff in the nacho. None of it makes sense.

Everything was absolutely perfect. I got the mixed fajitas and my best friend got chicken fajitas. Everything came out sizzling and delicious. The steak and chicken were both very tender the peppers and onions were very fresh. Our server was very attentive and friendly. The salsa was some of the best I've had... It was on the spicy side but that's the way I like it. The cheese dip was not runny like some places, it was very good. The tortilla chips were thin and crispy and very fresh. The tea was a different story however... My best friend said the tea tasted like honey or raw cane Suger. Personally, I rather enjoyed it. It wasn't overpowering like some of the tea typically served in the south. I don't see how this place has any bad reviews If the rest of their food is as good as what we had because it's as good as anything I've had. I highly recommend you ignore some of the bad reviews and give this place a shot to redeem their name because they are definitely worth it.

Horrible customer service; my food was old, dry, and overcooked (burnt on some places). I had to get up and find my server to put my order in. I has to ask for a refill for my son. I never received a refill. The server never came to check on us. I had to ask another server to find out server so that I could get my ticket and pay. I will not support this establishment again.

Went there with friends. This place has always had a bad smell to it. On their menu taco salads were 7.99 when you get your check it’s 10.99. Talked to the manager he said he didn’t know who even owns it. lol. He said he wouldn’t be losing money on 6 customers. I have never been treated this way before. Whoever owns this place needs to let their manger know.

My boyfriend and I come here every Friday night. That being said, the waitress didn’t put all of our order on our check from last time which we didn’t notice and they expected us to pay for it the next visit. It was a whole week later, the waitress made a mistake, but I am out 30 dollars this week because someone didn’t add everything to our order. Very disrespectful when I called and did not do anything to help. Do not recommend and will not be back. Very poor staff and management.

We ordered our food for takeout, got home and it was completely wrong. I called up there to have it fixed manager said no problem. Then once I got up there they told me it was going to be a upcharge for the grilled chicken instead of the shredded. I proceeded to tell them I'm not paying extra for ya'lls mistake. This is also not the first time it has happened. We usually eat here every Friday night as a family. We will find somewhere else to go now.
