Acapulco Méxican Grill

The staff here is awesome! But the best part of all.... the food! Moved to town about 6 months ago. So happy to find a new Mexican restaurant where I feel like I can go all the time. Especially since there isn't a decent Chinese place around this area. I could eat here every day for a month and I might get 3/4 of the way through the menu! And don't forget the margaritas! Can we say thank you for Cinco de Mayo in the states?! Like my new shirt? How about a fajita quesadilla? OMG! Stick a fork in me, I'm done!

This place is always a win with the kids. They do not have Texas dip on the menu but made it special just for our picky eaters.

We recently moved to Kent and finally got to try this place out last night...Oh man, what a great little spot!!! The decor isn't much but the staff is just incredibly friendly and attentive. The food is fantastic and the margaritas are sizeable and well-priced. I think we have a new favorite place and we'll definitely be back again...and again!

My wife and I frequently make the drive from Montgomery to Acapulco. The food here is consistently fantastic. The street tacos are excellent.

Be sure to check the expiration date on drinks. I ordered a beer on two different visits and they were both expired. The latest visit the manager tried to argue with me that BB did not meant best by. He came back to our table multiple times trying to tell me that I was wrong. Both beers expired in early 2023. Customer service is severely lacking.

The white older waitress that looks like she’s in her 40s was very rude to my boyfriend and I. She turned him down for a drink even though he had his license and is 21 and came out the door screaming at us about paying for a drink when I told her before going out of the restaurant that I would be back in after getting my wallet. Apparently I’m not the only person that has had an issue with her, she needs to fix her attitude and the way she talks to customers before she ruins the place. I don’t know how or why she still has her job considering how terrible she is.

Friendly service, less than adequate margaritas, absolutely nasty grease drenched food. Prices were standard for a hispanic restaurant. 2 medium Rita's, 2 entrees, $58. Ate the rice. The rest would've put me into cardiac arrest. Did they drop the food in the grease trap?

The food at Acapulco is very flavorful. Not like a lot of other restaurants. Some of the other Mexican restaurants food taste like it's all the same flavor, same sauce on everything. This is not the case here. Everything had its own flavor and it is wonderful. We love the service, attention to detail. You can't go wrong here!!

Surprisingly delicious!!! I had the Crazy Chicken which is chicken with rice and cheese. It was off the hook good! The salsa was fresh and delicious.

What a hidden gem! We drive here from Montgomery because there is no Mexican restaurant in the city that could touch how good the food is at Acapulco! My husband loves the street tacos and I've never had a bad dish there. It is consistently fresh food, the waiters/waitresses are always accommodating and polite, and it is always clean! I don't think I've ever had rice and beans at a Mexican restaurant that actually had flavor! These tasted home cooked and not from a can. We will continue to make the 40 minute drive to eat here!

Service in a restaurant industry is a huge thing for me.
When the server looks at you blankly, then has to ask what you just said.... then also questions about something you ordered, 'extra sour cream'.... it's just not right. 🤦🏼‍♀️

I wish I could leave a zero star review. It was, without a doubt, the absolute worst food I have ever tried to eat. That's really saying something coming from a guy who had to survive on Alabama prison food for more than 26 years... I would say that I wouldn't feed their food to my dogs, but that's actually what my wife did with about 3/4 of both of our meals.

I enjoy visiting my friends on weekends at Lake Martin. This was my first experience at a Mexican restaurant and I only decided to eat here because my friends were craving Mexican. This was the closest Mexican restaurant to us, so I went with them. Upon being seated, I went to use the restroom and my friends ordered their drinks. I came back and our waitress asked me what I wanted to drink. I said, "I'd like a water and a–." Our waitress cut me off and asked if I had my ID. I was shocked and said that I would only like the water. She then said, "That's all?" I responded, "Yes Ma'am." She said, "Are you sure that's all? It sounded like you were going to try to order something else?" I was thunderstruck by the accusatory tone she had when she asked me that. It's notable that I am now 6 months sober and still in recovery. I decided to order a coke as well because I felt that she was implying that I would have also ordered an alcoholic beverage. While taking our order she would sigh after writing down every order. When she got to me I asked for a chicken fajita. I guess she did not like how I pronounced it and repeated her interpretation back to me. We then went back and forth 3 times saying fajita until I said, "I will not repeat the word another time and do not appreciate you ridiculing my speech impediment." She then said, "Fine. Are you done, now?" I told her that would be all. Her attitude was the only topic of discussion throughout our dinner and we were all trying to identify what we could have done to have provoked her to act in such a condescending manner. After bringing us our food, our waitress sat in a booth across the restaurant and stared at me while eating chips. The food was the only redeeming factor of my experience at this restaurant and the only reason I've rated 2 stars instead of 1. I would not recommend this restaurant to anybody as one of my friends is not feeling well after eating a shrimp fajita.

My sister and I visited last June… We were blown away by how good the food was… especially the refried beans, they had a Smokey flavor to them.

I went back this past Tuesday, because I live out of state and I am here visiting again, and wanted some of those wonderful beans… I placed a to go order and BOY was I Shocked when I started to eat at home and the beans were the same ol refried beans like all the other restaurants. What a disappointment that was… If I wasn’t as hungry as I was that night, I would not have eaten it.

Would have for sure given a 5 Star rating if those beans would have been the same as we had in June!

It was my first visit. I was not really impressed. It is about the average Mexican restaurant. Food portions are fair. Don't ask for the seviches. My avocado had a lot of black spots. Waitress was very kind.
