Got the taco combo for take out. The place was absolutely packed. Authentic. Easily some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. Very convenient location in a lower traffic area as well. I will be back often.

I don't often leave good reviews, I normally just warn people off from bad places. I went with low expectations, as there is not much Mexican food in the Mobile, AL area that is the least bit impressive. This place blew me away. The service was great, our drinks were always filled and the food was brought out at the same time. The menu was not to busy. THE FOOD, was exceptional in every way, presentation, quality, quantity, and price. Whoever designed the menu items is as much chef as artist. It is like 5 star resort dining at 2 star prices. I have eaten here three times in the past two weeks and my opinion hasn't changed a bit. If I don't eat here at least once a week, send my wife condolences, because I am either sick or dead.

Food was delicious and presented beautifully! The service was quick! The place became packed after we got there, so that tells us the locals love it. BUT… We asked for salsa and were told it was too spicy for us. Not cool! When I went to slide my chair in, the sides were sticky! There were flys everywhere, and there was a loud “whip” noise every few minutes, apparently a bug zapper? Maybe take out would be better than dining in.

When it said 'Large' Burrito, this is exactly what I got! Was amusing for the table next to me as I'm only small and this giant burrito was laid out infront of me 🤣 Luckily it tasted wonderful and I managed to finish 90% of it. The steak inside was tender and flavoursome. Bf had chicken fajitas which came out sizzling! The food came out really quickly... great place to stop by, very reasonably priced!

Service was quick and friendly. Cheese dip was really good. Salsa was so-so. We like heat, and it was warm. 🌶️ Our food came out hot and was pretty good. I had the pineapple fajitas. Presentation was beautiful! Unfortunately, the steak was chewy and flavor was not the best, the pineapple bits were hard (not sweet at all). But the chicken, shrimp, bell peppers and onions were all great! Tortillas were a bit greasy but handmade and my son loved them. He had chicken quesadilla. Very flavorful and plenty of cheese. Going to return for regular chicken fajitas next time. See if I like those better. But that pineapple was so pretty!

If you want authentic food cooked by authentic Mexicans, this is the place to go. The food is delicious, and the service is great. After living 9 months in the area and trying different Mexican restaurants, I can say this is the best 👌

Very impressed with the Mexican food here, truly authentic Mexican! Not salvadorian, not Honduran, not oaxacan, but Mexican! Closest thing to CA Mexican food I am so glad I found this place!!! It’s a little hole in the food, but the food is phoenomenal. Everything is made fresh to order, so they take a bit but it is fresh… I would definitely set up phone ordering I ordered on the phone and the one cashier didn’t save or have knowledge of my order, I would say that is the only thing lacking is customer service… the waitress also didn’t write down an extra taco I asked for. But non the less the food is amazing and I will be back again!

The service is just as amazing as the food. The California burrito does not disappoint. It's not overloaded with beans and rice. They are very generous with the steak and the portion sizes are very large. The staff is warm amd welcoming and very attentive. I've traveled to 17 states for work and tried Mexican restaurants in every one and this is easily the best one I've been to by far.

I don’t really write reviews that often but lord save me I did not like the food here at all starting with the beans, they look like someone chewed it up and threw it out. I had came here with my dad after church along with my cousins and brother and my god the placed was full and we had no where to sit I also found a small hair in my food not sure if it was like a nose hair or an eyebrow hair either way I didn’t touch it. The smell of the place was also very weird and unpleasant to me. No parking was available and had to go park in the Walmart parking lot which was annoying since I was in heels as well.

Personally I didn’t like at all. The barria soup was watered down & hella oily. The meat was rough and not tender AT ALL. I honestly didn’t want to pay for the food at all 🙄 but I did to not be rude. Yea No. & Who ever is cooking is not cooking with Love or Passion. Straight Slop. Will not be coming here again. 🤢🤮 bring the Mexicans from Houston & they’ll tell you what a REAL Barria burrito and taco is supposed to look and taste like. So disappointed.

Here visiting from Texas. My wife was craving something spicy. We exit Walmart and see "El Rincon" from the corner of my eye and I say. Let's try it. And oh boy was it worth it. Small little corner spot as it's name says but the taste is oh so GREAT!!! MUY BUEN SABOR! Tacos de Carne Asada!

El Rincon The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food we received.

The atmosphere in the restaurant is SMALL but lively and welcoming, and the waitresses were as hot as the spicy Salsa verde.

Overall, I would highly recommend El Rincon to anyone passing through Theodore AL for authentic Mexican cuisine. You won't be disappointed!

Place is little and was full when I entered. I usually take that as a good sign. I ordered the birria tacos and was surprised how full they were. Definately was a good choice on my part. Ordered the flan and it was fantastic. My only complaint is not everyone gets chips and salsa. You have to pay for it. Usually they are served free at most mexican restaurants.

My only complaint is the service. I don’t eat here often but I’ve been here several times and each time I feel as if I’m unwelcomed as soon as I come in by the servers. And yesterday I ate with my girl, and I asked for my daughter to have a cheese quesadilla and beans, I was only brought beans. The waitress sits on her phone almost the entire time but when I said she forgot my daughters quesadilla she brings me back quesadilla and beans and rice and tells me it comes with it and I’m being charged an additional meal on top of the beans. I don’t say a word. I pay and just never come back. That simple. The owner is very nice, but the servers and service always lack.

Also I want to add that you have people that walk in and will see the place is filled and some tables were open but were just dirty, instead of greeting the customers at the door and suggesting a wait time or offering to clean a table for them they get ignored and not greeted at all and you let them walk out. I watched that happen for an hour sitting there. That’s terrible customer service and makes people never want to come back.

My 1st time visiting was today. As soon as I stepped in the waitress acknowledged me (I love that customer service) I ordered a take out of chicken quesadillas and street corn. The food came out popping hot ☺️ Needless to say I WILL be returning because it was DELICIOUS and filling!! I have enough leftovers for dinner tonight ........

Just went to this place, sat ther for 10 minutes and never recieved a menu, another table came in 5 minutes after us and they were geting their order taken. We still had not gotten menu's. We got up and left and went to El Giro 5 minutes up the road. Do not go to El Rincon Resterant!!! I gave them 1 star only because I had to.

The service was terrible. We came in and were directed to seat at a table near the door. There were three people serving. One was older and two younger servers. Sat there for 15 minutes and three people came in 10 minutes after us an were waited on right away. Finally got up an left as no one seem to care to wait on us. Will never vist this establishment again.

The food was outstanding! I had some fish and shrimp street tacos. They really piled it on! It was super busy that night but service was fast and friendly. They really need a bigger place as it felt really cramped with tables and chairs that are too tightly packed. Regardless, we will be back.

I don't think there is a Latina restaurant that I have not tried in Moblie... and this little joint is the best I have found so far. The tacos are amazing. The meat is marinated for a long time, giving it a rich flavor, and the tortillas are coated with butter or something, damn theyre good!

Tiny little spot with good food! My son enjoyed the nachos; my tacos were great and Husband wolfed down his torta.

My only complaint (at the time) was they don't serve any beer! We had been driving all day and all were looking forward to it... truly not a big deal and did not detract at all from our dinner.

First time eating here. It was pretty good. We had street tacos. All the meat was very tasty. The red and green sauce was a little than other places but had a good spicy level. Beans and rice were as usual. They didn't service chips and salsa, which was disappointing. Also soda came in 16 oz bottle no glasses of ice serviced. The place is tiny inside. I'd say it's more of an order to go kinda restaurant. The service was awesome though. People were very friendly.

The food I've tried so far was delicious. The stuffed avocados, however, were a bit disappointing. I love avocado so I just had to try but deep-fried doesn't go together well. The portions are worth the currency. I think they should update the menu also. Add English dialog to some of the food meanings and names. I'm not fun of eating cow brains or tongues and would like to know in advance.

I've gone back multiple times since this review. I think they have the best Mexican food in the area! The Super Burrito is amazingly good 👍

Edited to add - Please do not eat here... Because then you'll write a review raving about how good their food is, then others will read it and go here to eat... Then I'll go and may have to wait for an available table!

Last week we visited El Rincon for the first time. We walked in at approximately 4 PM and were promptly seated. Our waitress took our order without issue and our food arrived in a timely fashion. I ordered the Burrito Loco and my wife ordered the Stuffed Avocado. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals

Today my son decided he wanted Mexican for dinner and neither the wife or I felt like cooking so we ordered from El Rincon. This time I ordered the Carnitas Tacos, my wife ordered the Ribeye Fundido and my son ordered the Birria Tacos. Again, we thoroughly enjoyed our meals.

Our visits to El Rincon have been excellent. The food is delicious, the staff excellent, the servings generous and experience authentic. Needless to say, El Rincon comes well recommended.

The food is delicious, I've eaten there about 6 times so far. That said, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. the food comes out lukewarm or barely room temperature. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I've spoken to the managers on duty and told them about it but still get lukewarm food EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. They apologize but do nothing about it.

I know the cooks don't send out cold food to be served. There aren't enough customers in there to justify the servers delaying getting hot food to the table, so what's the problem?

I prefer the food at El Rincon but would rather get hot food at El Giro instead. Good food isn't worth the money to me if it's unpalatable because of the serving temperature. I'm not a toddler. I can handle hot food without burning myself. Unfortunately, cold food is more the norm than the exception at El Rincon. What a shame.

My hubby and I moved here 2 years ago and almost gave up on finding good Mexican food..our personal favorite.. El Rincon is fantastic!! The food was so good..we could tell it wasn't microwaved food it was fresh and seasoned perfectly. We will be returning

The only problem I had was no salsa and chips. My husband says, and they have no tequila! Lol

Had three different types of tacos and an order of churros. Great food and the service was perfect.
