dont listen to a single bad review on here. this place is a gem. i ususally just get one burrito and it seems small but its just the right amount of food. and around 8.00 for a very tasty burrito is uncommon these days. its my favorite place to eat in T town regardless of price or anything else. lots of flavor all around. its where the locals know to go!

I DON’T RECOMMEND AT ALL!! the quality and quantity of the food is so mediocre, our entire order was a disaster, an 8 dollar burrito they put just rice on it, very expensive and they put very little meat on the tacos, the sopes are a disaster, They only put a little meat, almost nothing, lettuce and beans. do not go eat there! Plus the waitress was rude to us.

Only put a three because people were helpful and kind. Ordered a steak quesadilla… opened it up and it is PITIFUL. There’s more tortilla than anything. Honestly very disappointed. Steak was so overdone it might as well have been rocks.

This is definitely authentic. The service was pleasant and the food was good. If you're a Tex-Mex kinda person, it's going to seem a little bland, but it's not advertised to be Tex-Mex. The portion size was fair, the meat was good. I would definitely recommend. Limited seating.

Authentic Mexican Food at it’s finest! The servers and everyone there were nice friendly and made you feel welcome! The sopes are absolutely delicious, you can tell that they are being freshly made. The tacos are also in a full-size tortilla and the serving size for the rice and beans is perfect! Over all it was a wonderful experience with amazing food.

Yooo the food is. AMAZING! SEASONED PERFECTLY! And the best of all it’s a family owned business so you know they serve and cook it with love. Place is a bit small and a bit blend but the food makes up for it. Fast and friendly staff too and with the cherry on top they have Mexican coke. Overall good place to try out and for sure in the top 3 Mexican restaurants in Tuscaloosa

While visiting Tuscaloosa decided to try this because of all the good reviews. I definitely was not disappointed. Our server was a young man who was extremely polite and very helpful recommending items. I ordered 2 items ala carte and do not remember what they were but it was good. Looking at the lunch specials going out to other tables I wished I had tried that but that will be saved for another day if i get back to Tuscaloosa! The aqua Fresca was good and refreshing. I could have drank a barrel. The place is small with mainly locals but I overheard a few others who seemed to be first timers. It is in my top 3, maybe 2 Mexican restaurants. If you are in Tuscaloosa look it up, you won’t be disappointed!

The food tasted nice. Arello was our waiter and he was so sweet and attentive. Making sure to ask the cook about allergens and he checked in on us throughout our meal. There was one restroom, family style. No baby changing table and would be difficult with a wheelchair. Tables are close together. Location wise it's not in the best area but we felt safe while inside especially with the kind staff!

The restaurant was not very busy so I’m not sure what was going on. The lady working was nice however the cooks kept skipping over the door dash orders. Though they may not think much about it but that’s 15 minutes I could have been making money doing another delivery.

We had lunch here today. We really wanted to love these street tacos but these have NOTHING on the street taco trucks in Bham. The corn tortillas tasted and looked like a mixture of corn and flour which resulted in way too soft tortillas that broke because the green and red sauces were watered down. However, the chicken was very juicy, but lacked good flavor and spice. Unfortunately, it was an unpleasant and dissatisfying meal. Now we have to continue the search for good street tacos here in T-town…

Antojitos has become a staple in Tuscaloosa for authentic Mexican food. The whole crew is always welcoming and friendly even when they are EXTREMELY busy!

The food is always incredible. Ask about their specials before deciding you just want your regular cheese quesadilla and enjoy some authentic Mexican cooking. You should know they don’t serve American queso or chips and salsa, but they do have great chilaquiles when available! They also have delicious salsa verde and salsa roja that goes great with everything they have!

Some of my favorite specials are their chicken mole, chicken with cactus, steak and potatoes, and menudo. If you order off the menu you can’t go wrong with their tacos or huaraches. Highly recommended all around!

Hanging on the wall of this humble restaurant are two plaques, one that awards Antojitos Izcalli as the best Mexican restaurant in Alabama for 2020, the other plaque proclaims that this restaurant was voted the best Latin restaurant in Alabama for 2020. After dining here a few times, I can attest that these are not simply words on a plaque. This unassuming restaurant in a rundown strip mall in Tuscaloosa, Alabama kicks out some amazing food. Is it the best? That is a hard decision to make, however I will say that it is one of the best and a state that has some amazing Mexican food.

For this lunch I had the pambazo, which is bread dipped in red guajillo pepper sauce and filled with potatoes and chorizo. I also had a campecho taco. Both were amazing and more
than fairly priced, especially considering the quality of the food and the quantity of it, as well.

This meal was altogether satisfying. It filled
not only my stomach, but it invoked within my soul a memory I never had, a longing for a faraway place that I had never visited. This is serious food that will serenade your soul and will haunt your dreams. Try here once and you will return.
