How come when you order extra of certain items like sour cream and cheese they can’t seem to do that? I mean if I ask for extra that means I want extra so when I go to open my bowl and it’s less than what they normally do I don’t quite understand how you just don’t do what the customer asks for? This is EVERY TIME I order my food to go from here. From now on I’ll open it and check it there before I leave since adults can’t seem to just do what the ticket says. Ridiculous.

It wasn't until we asked for queso that they informed us they were out and it would be about 15 minutes. We decided to wait. They left our food in the bowls open on the counter. More than 15 minutes go by, and they are still telling the people behind us that it'll be about 10 minutes. At this point, our food was left out that entire time and we were just ready to find something else. We apologized to them and told them we were leaving, and they looked at us like we were the worst people in the world. Believe the other reviews because we didn't.

Good food in terms of chipotle standards (rice was cooked, protein was hot, etc.) service was poor. Restaurant was filthy. Nothing was stocked. Restrooms were messy and no toilet paper/towels. Employees just chatting and on their phones. Chairs were up on tables despite us being there two hours before close.

I left after 25 minutes eventhough the app said the order was ready for pick up. Had to call the 1 800 number to get refunded. Went next door and got a burger from 5Guys in less than 15 minutes.

I went on a Saturday evening and the service was terrible. For one smoked brisket bowl my bill was $35.15. I was overcharged for everything. No receipt was given. How can you pay $35 for one bowl??? It is a scam. Everything costs extra and they do not have all of the prices on the menu board. Of course the employees will not tell you what costs extra. $35 for one bowl. I could have had a steak dinner at Firebirds for $25. Very disappointed in Chipotle. $35 for one bowl. Really? And terrible service along with that? No! Every employee was rude. My friends and family will not return.

Every single time I go in this location, there is always a problem with poor customer service. Rosita is never helpful. Her sister Leslie always takes up for her. Danny is never available as the store manager. Cassandra has to do Danny’s dirty work. I absolutely love the service every time I go in on a Thursday evening. The Manager On Duty Mark is phenomenal and knows how to get the job done. This location can use more people like Mark.

It always takes FOREVER here even if you order ahead for pick up. The place is dirty (tables not wiped, etc). Tonight there were no napkins. I asked twice but no one ever gave us any.

This location is new, so perhaps the employees are still being trained. They are charging for items you didn't order, etc. Also, unsanitary practices. Complaint was filed via Chipotle.com and I was provided a resolution.

Employees are absolutely terrible arrive at 7:47 to a line to the exit door wait in my car for 30 minutes line never move then finally it moved so I went inside, another 30 minutes inside waiting in line only to get to the front of the line for them to be “out” of steak at 8:30 keep in mind they don’t close till 11 then as I’m sitting there astonished how long I waited only for the cook to say he ain’t cooking no more then proceeded to tell the line employee if anyone wants sour cream tell them we out, insinuating to her that we aren’t out but we are for tonight

Just because a person orders their food through doordash, it doesn't mean you shouldn't care about their order being correct and including necessary utensils and napkins. It's such lazy work to just throw the incomplete chicken bowl in the bag with NOTHING. Not only was my bowl missing 3 items, I had to go searching for something to eat it with and doordash only offered me 4 bucks back with was only part of the fee. Gotta do better people. It's not hard to be thoughtful and thorough.

If you're thinking about ordering online at this Chipotle, you'll still be waiting the same amount of time if you went in and stood in line. Idk what kind of setup they have there for their online orders, but it's TERRIBLE. Once they say the order is ready for pickup on the app, you arrive and go in and wait another 10-15 minutes before it's actually ready for pickup. The whole point of online ordering is to not have to wait, go in and pick up, not at this location. Inconvenient times 10.

Ordered four chicken bowls . The app showed food was ready but we had to wait 35 mins for pick up . The food tasted bad and there was barely chicken in any of our bowls . Overall it tasted bad.

Their are currently 8 people waiting outside the doors while it's 11:10 am and they have not opened yet. They are slowly cleaning and joking around the rice isn't cooked all the way through the last 3 times I have been here. We will not be returning to this branch and would rather go down to the one by university, management needs a handle on this. 👍 Attitudes are ratchet and rude. Watched several costumers leave to five guys next door because they opened their doors on time . -

We very much enjoy Chipotle and visit its stores both near home and when traveling. Happy with food and service at this locatoon. Two complaints: the dinning area was dirtier than the usual Chipotle (not that Chipotle locations are consistently neat or tidy); and restroom for ladies at this location so filthy as it could not be used. Disappointing as we travel through this area from time-to-time and would like to be able to patronize this locatiom if not so disgusting.

Smelled TERRIBLE inside. Unsurprisingly, they were also out of steak and beans and took ages to make my bowl despite not many guests being there. Bowl was flavorless, I think they might not have seasoned the chicken and guac. This place sucks almost every time I come here but I keep coming back in hopes that it will live up to the quality of the Chipotle in my hometown, and it never does.

literally worst customer service, worst workers, worst everything. i had to sit and wait for 30 minutes for them to take an order that wanted chicken because they wouldn't take other orders in the meantime. then they ran out of queso, so i waited. after about 30 minutes i asked how long and the cook said he hadn't even started it. i left immediately, no refund, no nothing. crazy.

Picked up orders for four people. Every single order was messed up. We've never seen a Chipotle use less meat and ingredients overall - total rip-off. They didn't use any seasonings on the white rice, and they ran out of chips but couldn't do anything else for us besides hand me a number to call for refunds.

The absolute worst chipotle or any restaurant for that matter I’ve ever dined in. More times than not multiple food containers are nearly or completely out. The serving size given is usually significantly less than any other chipotle I’ve dined at. Today is the last day I will ever step foot inside the Tuscaloosa Chipotle.

I can't believe how awful the service is! It's such a hassle to place orders online. They never have the orders ready on the pickup shelf, so you end up standing around for 5-10 minutes before anyone even acknowledges you're there to pick up your order.

This location on Boden and Campus Pkwy is hit or miss as far as food quality and taste. The bigger issues for me is the customer service. Lacking in many ways, you get rudeness, frustration and a lack of desire to want to help the customer. When asking for product or questions of staff, the typical response is with inconvenience and indifference. I’m not a customer is always right kind of gal, but I do believe my coming to your store to eat does provide you with a job. So maybe not treat me like a burden.

Keep trying, hoping that they can get it right but they never do. Order is never ready on time, order is never right, always numerous things missing, terrible quality compared to other chipotles, under staffed, and the staff that is there - doesn’t care. Only a matter of time until this Chipotle is closed. Maybe the entire company if this is how they manage their locations. So disappointing.

We were traveling through Tuscaloosa tonight and eat at Chipotle frequently, so we searched for a location locally and ended up here. The management here must be terrible. They were out of forks completely (yes, we asked!). When I requested a receipt, I was told they had not had receipt paper all day. The black beans had not been seasoned at all and the rice tasted sour. Food prep area was a total mess. Also, the bathroom was in bad shape. There was no soap in the ladies room and the trash bag was not in the can. Just a horrible experience overall, so much that we rushed to eat and go. I expect better from one of my favorite chains!

Just moved here from out of state a few days ago, love chipotle, lucky me this delightful little spot is just a few minutes from my domicile.
Sunday during lunch shift, I’m lucky enough to walk in and be the first one in line to get food for my wife and kids. Things are moving a bit slow but that’s ok, a kindly old Vietnam vet kept me company as we chatted. After their third attempt to finally wrap my burrito, I had the pleasure of waiting another 5 minutes for them to put condiments on my wife’s order while the line grew from just me and the kindly vet to about 15 people backed up to the door. The one attendant kept taking order after order until about 10 trays of food just sat in the cold unfinished. The cashier came out and just started putting the aluminum covers on vs helping until she walked off to the back again. After much delay, my orders were finally finished. When I say I stood at the cash register for 15 minutes I’m not even close to kidding. I asked THREE times for a cashier to please ring me up so I could feed my family. No cashier ever came. Finally asked the one attendant if I a $20 in cash would cover it so I could just take the food, now horribly cold, and go. So what’s he do? He walks back to the cashier to ask her if it would cover it just to come out and say it wouldn’t! And still no cashier!!!
Finally turned to the kindly vet and asked him if he would think me rude if I just left and he said most definitly not, he was about to do the same. I turned around after being there for almost 40 minutes and left without my food still sitting in a cold pile but the cashierless cash register… at least Taco Bell was able to take my money and feed my family after that.
I will never ever be back until new management is in place. Utterly livid and disappointed… NEVER COME HERE

"Leave now" "I will call the police!"...witnessed manager saying this to family of 4 with 2 children...when responding to wife in family who stated she should loose her job for her being so rude. Why? Half of restaurant had chairs on top of tables and other half had food on tables and floor from past customers. Family chose to sit in clean area of "closed off" area by bringing down two of the chairs. Already into their meal ...family rudely told by manager that area was closed and they needed to get up. Family noted that other half of restaurant was dirty and needed to be cleaned and would move if/when other area is cleaned. If family hadn't stood their ground, manager would have had them stand and wait for them to clean other half before she escalated to the threat of police and removal, but family remained seated until other side was cleaned by employees and then moved as promised. Never seen such aggressiveness from a manager, who made sure to state her position to family, and wonder what example she is setting for the rest of the employees who saw this. By the way...this was around Noon on the 4th of July 2024.

Extremely disappointed. The service was very sun-standard. We went at around 9pm. The food was ok. More than normal fat on the steak. One employee was working very hard and friendly. Sadly, this did not make up for another employee that was outside near us taking out trash. She was on the phone as well as smoking a vape. After she took out the trash, there were still napkins strewn around the concrete patio where we were sitting. She walked past us while on the phone. Speaking so loudly, we had to stop our conversation and wait for her to pass by.

From being ignored while waiting to get my order and it being obviously cold when it's eventually handed to me to the fact that I have not once received chips that were not stale. Our family loves going to chipotle but we always hesitate because of the service we receive at this location. Last night might’ve been the final straw. While waiting for new white rice to be brought out, I witnessed the guy preparing it turn around, put a chunk of rice in his mouth without removing his gloves, and turn right back around and start mixing in the cilantro with it. After getting protein on mine and my husband’s bowls, I asked for just a little more as it wasn’t even a full scoop. The girl said I would have to get “double protein” (almost a $5 extra charge per bowl) and I said I guess I had to as there was barely any protein on my bowl. After she slapped down more protein, she rudely turned her back to me and started chatting with another employee while there was still a long line behind me. After using a “free entree reward” from my chipotle app, it was still $31 for mine and my husband’s bowls. Employees have always been rude at this location, always chatting with each other about their own social lives and cutting up, but after last night, if we want chipotle, we will be going to a different location.

I arrived to pick up my order 10min too early and was told to wait till 2pm. I was ok with that since every table inside needed to be cleaned, I figured someone would have come and wiped them down by then. No food was placed on the Togo cart so each person was asked individually their name which also no big deal. However, there were employees back and forth from the back but the cashier had to be the one to rush out to wipe A table once her line was down did, because not long a new crowd came in and I was still unable to sit and enjoy my meal. I did end up having to eat in the car and thankfully, the food was delicious.

Placed online order and waited in line for 30 minutes past the time order was supposed to be ready when we got to the restaurant. Half the workers were on their phone’s, the worker taking bowl orders was eating rice and a quesadilla in between customer’s and the food was cold when I got. Store seemed well staffed as two other worker’s were standing in the kitchen laughing and talking/on phone. Wanted to ask for a fresh bowl but didn’t want to stand inside any longer due to the dirtiness of the restaurant.

We did an online order from this restaurant last night. It was so spicy that it made my daughter cry…and it was a kids meal. I couldn’t even eat it. The other two adult orders were also so spicy (for no reason) that we had to throw everything away. I have tried to talk to customer support for a FULL REFUND, but nobody from the location will call me back. I expect a refund, this is awful service, and definitely not what chipotle should taste like.

My online orders are always messed up, either my burrito bowl is completely wrong and has things added to it that I didn’t want or the proportions are terrible. The proportions sometimes have things like too much salsa or not enough rice. The serving area where they make your food is gross, they never wipe it off and it has ingredients all over the serving line that they drag your bowl through and it gets all the gross food residue on your lid . Also the employees are very rude and are very slow paced.

Awful awful customer service. If you order pick up, don’t. My order was 45 MINUTES late… long enough to the point I could have gone through the line twice and it still wouldn’t be ready. When I finally asked them I check on it, on the 3rd time of asking it had been ready for 10 minute but waiting in the back. When I finally sat down to ate it it was cold as if it was sitting in the back waiting for the 45 minutes. The employees were rude and messing around in the back throwing chips at each other while I waited for them to make my food. The sit down around was disgusting with soda dried on the tables and seats. This place is a disgrace to the chipotle name.

Never have left a bad review before. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had. I placed my order to be picked up at 10:10pm and when I showed up my order was behind the counter not on the shelf. The workers had no urgency and I stood right in front of the cashier for 20 minutes as the lady working the cashier ignored me and other people waiting. I let her know I had a mobile order and she just rudely nodded her head and continued to ignore me. Another girl waiting in line even told me “good luck.” I spoke up again and she ignored me for the second time just lazily walking around. Finally some nice lady grabbed my bag and the people behind me’s. Never returning to this chipotle.

Worst dining experience I’ve ever had. Took 45 minutes when they told me my order was ready. Missing napkins and forks when they told me it was in the bag. Incorrect toppings.

Absolutely the worst restaurant experience ever. So done with Chipotle. Placed an order online. Went in, very busy. Did not see 1 of 2 bags on receipt. Food was 25min past due time. Left, only to find I was shorted part of order. Returned and requested manager. Manager (Sandra) would not come out from back. Employees relayed messages. Manager stated she filled order herself and I was wrong. Have pictures of what I got home with. The fact that the manger thought I would drive home then return for a single burrito on a $35 order and lie about it speaks volumes to her character. I HATE CHIPOTLE NOW. So done with this place.

The food-building line is fairly consistently dirty, and they’re regularly out of something important. There’s a quite off-putting smell near the drinks/utensils station most of the time. The workers can be friendly but there seems to be little sense of urgency in the whole restaurant. Location on University Blvd is much preferred.

Waited for 20 minutes after the store was supposed to be open with 6 other people before the door opened. Then the tacos didn't even have enough meat to go all the way across and that was with double meat. I have been to this location 4 times now and everytime it is either a mess with sauces that get on everything as they slide it down the line and very little meat I like Chipotle but I would avoid this location till it gets better management. I'm not sure what happened to this company but from looking at the other reviews it is obvious that the company don't care if the service or food is good because it doesn't take months to fix a management and training problem.

Supposedly runs out of every ingredient at 10:00pm sharp. Never has vinaigrette. Can’t roll burritos .very rude and slow business..also very disrespectful

The ladies were unprofessional, I came to buy food with my friends, at 10:19pm. They were cleaning and the place closed at 11pm.she was with a lot of attitude.so I did not buy anything with left.we decided to leave, and buying from another place.

Do not order here. I placed an order for 6 that wasn’t ready til 6:50. Workers were insanely rude and arguing with customers. I could have gone through the line 6 times by the time they gave me my order. To top it all off my order was wrong. Will never ever return to Chipotle.

Don’t order online. Smallest bowl I’ve had. Missing toppings that I ordered and added toppings I didn’t. Said my food was done on the app 10 minutes before it actually came out. Tried to get customer service to help through the app and they said they couldn’t track my order and that is WAS ready on time. It wasn’t. I’ve had so many terrible experiences with chipotle customer service, they will never fix any order that they mess up and will deny there was ever a problem. Wish I could rewind 5 years and get chipotle when it used to be good.

This location has the worst customer service of any chipotle I’ve ever been to. My bowl was less than half the amount of food that I asked for. Workers have an intense attitude problem, especially when you ask for a double protein. Never ever returning to this location after repeated awful experiences with the staff

Bad service, food was ok. Not clean restaurant, tables filthy. The worst part was that towards the end of our meal, a roach came out from the table wall. We were sitting at the round table near the register. Won't be going back!

Says they’re open late, don’t come after 9 if you want anything specific. They’re always out of something and refuse to make anymore. No one is rude but this is just a consistent issue every time I come, I’ve tried to give them chances but after 9 don’t waste your time.

The restaurant was online order only. I put in an order for a burrito, and I received a 10 minute waiting time. After more than 25 minutes had passed, I finally got served a cold, unappealing burrito. If you brand yourself as a Mexican grill, and you cannot make a single edible burrito in 25 minutes you should no longer be in charge of making burritos. Being able to estimate food delivery time without being off by more than 100% and the ability to delivery lukewarm food are the BARE MINIMUM I expect when going out to eat. Not coming back, recommending my friends stay away. Contacted customer support, got a cookie cutter response.

Horrible customer service..no smile to be found in the building. If you know you have rush hour at certain times why are you having to go to the back to prep dressing. This is my last visit at this location by Five Guys! Hopefully the University Chipotle will have at least a smile when you enter. Please train your people with the basics of customer service! It doesn't cost a thing to be polite!

If you want to see employees who do not care… come here. As a person who has been in management for years I can honestly say there is no structure, coaching, development or accountability for the workers. No sense of urgency even with a store full of people, the area where you get the forks and napkins smelled putrid. Like rotting fruit and dirty mop water. I didn’t even get utensils because of the smell. Trash can overflowing. And yet, you have employees literally moving extremely slow and very lazy. They also seemed pleased to see customers leaving due to the wait and lack of menu items. The young man checking out was very nice. Had a great disposition and appearance. This location needs a complete revamp of staffing and additional training and development.

This is the worst chipotle ever. If I could leave a 0 star rating I would. The service is horrible (prob the worst I’ve ever had). The girl that always works the checkout is so rude and lazy. They are always out of everything. Food is terrible at this location. Overall just rude and lazy

I usually do not leave bad reviews but I had to in this case. The wait time for my food pickup was over an hour. When I finally did received my food, it was missing multiple items. I also did not receive an apology for the wait. How rude and unprofessional. I am never coming to this location again.

I usually hate to leave negative reviews considering I work in customer service but I have to this time. I have never experienced such terrible customer service. The staff is quite rude and do not care about their customers at all. They act like it is an inconvenience to do their job. It’s infuriating for them to give you the last scrapings of something instead of turning around and grabbing a new container of it but still being charged full price. I’ve tried this place at least 10 times, I will never be back. The manager/owner really needs to look at his employees and training.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND RUN FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! Slow wait time for online orders, VERY RUDE CUSTOMER SERVICE, wrong food orders and food isn’t good! Just go to the one on the UA. Also, my online order was stolen and they barely acted as if they cared!

I created a google account just to give this place 5 stars. Excellent service. Anyone who gives any less than 4 stars is probably an uptight prick. The nice workers gave me a big scoop of guacamole and I liked it. God bless this chipotle.

Very slow. 15 people in a non-moving line. People entering store then turning around and leaving. The two staff members are hanging out and talking to each other unsure about what to do. At first I thought they were patiently waiting for additional details ingredients to be made because it was busy but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. It took almost 5 mins to make a 1 order. There are no smiles, hustle or effort to at least keep the line moving even if slowly. Too bad. It might be faster to go to the location down the street.

The only thing extra in this location is the attitudes. From the general manager, manager, and the staff members, the only person that was nice was the person cashing us out. I will never go to this location again and I’m escalating the issue as well.
