Chipotle Mexican Grill

I picked up a doordash order that I was delivering. I walked over to the mobile order area and nobody came to help me with the order so I went to look for it on the shelf, like I would assume to do since nobody acknowledged me and there were multiple orders ready. I tried to look at one of the receipts to look for the name and one of the workers snatched the bag away from me and told me not to touch it. She asked for the name and I told her the order name. I was honestly embarrassed and caught off guard by the way she had spoken to me and the way she snatched the bag so I didn’t say anything when she gave me the order, and she snapped and said “you’re welcome!” as I was leaving because I didn’t thank her. I wasn’t trying to be rude by not thanking her, I truly was just embarrassed and wanted to leave because the lobby was busy and a lot of people just saw her treat me the way she did. I had never been to this Chipotle and I didn’t know that I wasn’t supposed to touch the orders. I don’t know her name because I only spoke ONE word to her, but she was so rude for no reason. I walked away because I didn’t want to cause more of a scene than she already did and there were people watching the whole interaction, but now I wish I would’ve spoken up to her for acting that way. I work in food service and I 100% know how it feels to be overwhelmed in the moment, but if your employees are gonna assume that we know everything and catch an attitude over touching a bag then please put a sign up or somehow make it more clear for us that only the employees can touch the shelf to avoid issues like this, or just don’t put the togo orders out in the lobby in the first place. It would help out food delivery people that have never worked in this area before. Thanks.

My friend and I pulled up just as they were supposed to open. We stood there another five minutes since they weren't ready to unlock the door yet. We had to stand around for another five minutes or so while they put up tortilla chip bags and put meat and other items into the warmer. When he finally took our order, we could barely hear him over the loud R&B music. He made my burrito bowl and her burrito and placed them to the side as he continued to take and make at least another five orders. Then we were asked about what condiments we wanted to have added to our food. Again, we waited while he did the same with the other orders. He finally rang up our order and didn't ask if it was together or separate. I paid for both. We didn't even get a tray to carry everything on. We sat down to eat and there were no fans or air conditioning. It was really uncomfortable, especially since we were eating spicy, hot food. My friend said she should have gotten the bowl because the burrito was chewy and she couldn't eat it. I was further disappointed because the commercials show the meat being cooked on a grill and I thought it was something you got to watch. Instead, the food was already chopped and sitting in a warmer just like you would see at Subway. The food was good, but the price and the wait wasn't worth it. I won't be going back. I could eat better and for less money at a real Mexican restaurant.

This place is extremely gross inside. Extremely slow service!! And I had ordered food tonight my receipt had said quesidaillas they gave me two bowls with dry rice. I enjoyed the chicken quesadillas with my fixings for lunch. They were Togo and nicely packed. The paper containers don’t work well with the wet tomatoes after a while gets soft. The flavor was great as well as the service and priced affordable. Already had my name on it for fridge leftover storage.

To go and delivery orders portions are so inconsistent. I have received bowls not even half full before from this location. Very sad,they need some quality control. They also need to double check all mobile orders for accuracy. I am always missing items from this location. Order from the McFarland location,they are polite,and always accurate! The University location I always have issues at.

The workers do their best but the management is absolutely horrendous here. This place never seems to get my order right. They always mess up something every single time I go. It is starting to feel personal now.
03/20/24 - UPDATE ****4th time I came here and they still got my order wrong. That makes it 4 times straight they keep getting my order wrong. Moreover, expect to wait 30 minutes extra from the time you are promised an order since it will not be ready due to their incompetece or they are going to get your order wrong and you will have to wait more for them to get your order done. They also never have anything and they decide to tell you at the last minute. This place needs to be shut down!****.

I’ve never had a worse experience at a chipotle, and really any other restaurant for that matter.

I start ordering as usual, but when we get to the second section, they finally decide to tell me they are out of multiple ingredients. What am I supposed to do? Just walk out and leave them with these wasted ingredients on my burrito? So I decide to change up my order and finish it anyway, even though I really should’ve just gone somewhere else at that point. I thought it would be fine, I can just scan the receipt into the app and get like a free bag of chips from support. I pay and head back home.

Once I sit down and look in the bag, I see that my burrito barely wrapped by the tin foil. Okay, that’s fine, no effect on eating it. But then the burrito isn’t even closed fully in its tortilla, with salsa dampening the bottom of the bag.

To make matters worse, they didn’t even give me the receipt. They didn’t even ask me if I wanted it, so I assumed they just put it in the bag, but no. Nothing.

This is completely unacceptable. How can they not let you know when they are missing menus items? How can they not even offer you the receipt? Was this every single working employee’s first day?

I walked in here after attempting to go to multiple moe's that were closed on new years eve during an overnight stay on our way back to TX for dinner. Parking was a small walk away and surprisingly not bad for the location.
All of the workers were super friendly, helpful, and provided great service even though it was new years eve and they were slow.
The food was great as well for the price.
I would recommend this Chipotle Location to others.

Should have read the reviews before ordering online here.
Busy time of the year for me with baking and working . After the last lunch/ restaurant experience I made a vow to myself. Always bring my lunch from home.
Busy weekend and a very busy Monday morning.

I came here to get dinner with my girlfriend who has a service animal. The dog was not bothering anyone, and we had almost made it to the counter to order when a worker approached us. He told us we needed to leave and when I had informed him that it was a service animal, he insisted we had to show him a license. When I told him that he was wrong and that legally we do not have to provide any proof, he threatened to call the police on us. Service is usually poop, but this is unacceptable, hope he's fired.

i want to kiss the entire staff on the lips. at every other location i've just accepted the fact that there's a 25% chance the rice will be hard, steak will be tough, etc (because it's chipotle). not here. clearly working in the armpit of tuscaloosa (the strip) has given them the opportunity to face difficulties that allowed them to grow and rise higher than any chipotle employee has before. the steak is always tender, everything always tastes fresh, guacamole a normal color, etc. give them all raises

Sometimes this restaurant is so delicious. Other times, it's slow and the food is mediocre. Lunch shift is usually great, dinner is usually rough. Overall - it'd recommend it for an under 10 dollar, pretty healthy and delicious meal.

The folks that work here do a pretty good job even though the volume of people eating here is so high. They consistently get my order right and pretty close to the time it should be ready. Also to their credit, I've never experienced them being out of chips or other ingredients unlike other Chipotle locations in town.

You should pay attention on To Go Orders that are made online, yesterday I took my order and made sure there was no other order with my name and when I arrived at my destination I realized that the order was incomplete, if you're going to put the order on the pick up place, make sure that the order is complete!

Rice was way over cooked. Literally only 3-4 pieces of chicken in the whole bowl. The whole order was cold and mushy. To top it off I ordered guacamole and they only filled the small cup half way smh. Will never order from this chipotle again. Stay away people if you value your money.

Every time we order through the app, they never put the whole order. It is almost always when we order chips and queso, we only ever get just the chips or just the queso. No effort to contact us about missing one if they are out, they just do not put it and expect us to deal with it. The only way to ensure your order is correct is to go through the line yourself.

I have never written a restaurant review ever before, but this place is so bad the world has to know. Every single time the rice is over cooked. They also don’t use slotted spoons! The beans and pico de Gallo make my bowl filled with water and the whole thing becomes slop. Also today, the system “went down” for 20 minutes so the whole restaurant just had to wait. Ridiculous for a place that can be so good with the right staff/ownership.

We ordered 2 burritos, a taco, a cup of queso, drinks...and got charged $50. It was only 8:15, and the restrooms were blocked off and the place was dead. No jalapenos as advertised. Looked as though it was too much of an effort for the workers to take your order.

My girlfriend came in here today. To begin with, the workers were throwing plates and rice at each other. They were cussing at each other, making fun of the customers orders, and even mocked her name, all within earshot. 😡 I’ve worked in the food industry and this was appalling.

Orders are super inconsistent. Bowls are sometimes nice and full, other times it's like a serving for a child. Online orders are hardly ever finished at selected time. I used to visit this location at least once a week due to where I work but I'll be going elsewhere now.

The Chipotle on the strip across from Publix is THE BEST. The employees are hard working, take their jobs seriously, and always have both mobile orders AND their customers taken care of. It’s clean, the portions are great, and they do a great job while working quickly and efficiently.

I used to love this place so I would grab my dinner 3-4 times a week. The service has truly declined and the maintenance of the restaurant as well. I rarely even think of this as an option now. The food is nearly always good, but even a preorder can take 10 minutes waiting in line. It's too tight to social distance and chaos is real because of the multiple people waiting for delivery orders, online orders and inside orders. It's a days event when you add the parking lot clutter. Not worth it.
