San Marcos Mexican Restaurant

Stopped in while traveling. Was hungry and it was close to when everywhere was closing except fast food. Got in got sat and chips and salsa very quick. Huge building with lots of room. Got our order in and food was out fast. I got the quesadilla and rice and my gf got the nachos. Both were pretty good.

I have lived here and ate here my entire life.
Never in my life I have ever been so disgusted with this place.. went to pay for my food, and had a $50 Visa card, meal was $50.89 told the young girl up front that I was paying $50 on this card, and she said it kept declining, which I know was not true bc there was money on there. Asked for owner, and she came back and told me “he was busy”
Okay, so too busy for customers?

I work in customer service, and I get around this time it is busy, but when you seriously have your employees roll their eyes and everything.

Will not be coming back here.

HORRIBLE! We had 8 people dine in and all our food was bland. Those others who ordered grilled chicken it was extremely dry and a lot of crunchy parts it's probably the worst I've had in a long time and our bill was $115 we didn't complain but we did not have any service either

If I could give this place 0 stars I would.
The atmosphere is so dull and dry and the food is horrible.

Awesome Mexican restaurant! The owner of this restaurant has been in business at this location for over 7 years and in the restaurant business overall over 19 yrs. He personally greets all patrons and makes sure everything is great. This has been the third time going here and will not be our last. Highly recommend this place even if one had to drive several miles to get here, you would not be disappointed.
The fee food is abundantly flavorfull and the portions are large. The salsa and chips are wonderful too!
The service is exceptional and efficient.
The restaurant seating area and the restrooms are super clean and their posted health rating is 100%. Need I say more?
Definitely a 5 star plus restaurant.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would.
The atmosphere is so dull and dry and the food is horrible.

Waste of money eating here. Food was completely unseasoned, steak smelled spoiled.
Mexican rice is not even close to the real thing. The refried beans come from a can. Save your money and go down the road to an actual Mexican restaurant because this place is anything but a Mexican restaurant. Whoever is cooking in the kitchen needs to be ashamed of. Disgusting, tasteless food.

En realidad la comida no es para nada buena e ido por mis compañeros que han comido ahí, somos latinos y por eso nos han tratado mal el servicio a sido pésimo sin embargo seguimos yendo pero el día de hoy fue lo peor nos sentimos humillados para nadie es un secreto que si eres de centro América no puedes comer sin tortillas pero el día de hoy no dieron las tortillas a tiempo con nuestra comida el mesero nos dijo que en la cocina se habían quedado sin tortillas de manera tranquila esperamos pero me molestó cuando vi que atendían una mesa de gringos y llegó la comida después que la de nosotros y a ellos si les pusieron las tortillas y se enfrió nuestra comida y nada que llegaban las tortillas sin mentir se tardaron casi 10 min en llevar las tortillas ya no las queríamos y el mesero quiso ser gracioso porque yo si me moleste mucho y le dije que lo le daría propina y más me moleste cuando llegó el tiket de pago porque quería que diéramos propina obligado cuando eso es si uno quiere y es por el servicio que dan como dar propina a personas que atienden mal fue racista con nosotros un propio hispano reclamé y no dimos propina no regresaremos a este lugar

Food poisoning for our entire party. It was confirmed that it was not a stomach virus, as the owner tried to blame the sickness from. Hospital stay for 48hrs. No compensation offered, no apology. We USED to enjoy San Marcis often, not any more.

Very nice people and very good food! I have some food allergies and they were very helpful with that. We were camping nearby and met with some family for lunch. I got the fajita mixtas. The chicken was dry, shrimp was good, but the steak was horrible. It was very rubbery and hard. I was honestly doubting if it was even really steak. I couldn’t eat it at all, had to throw it away. Salsa and cheese dip was good. The restaurant was clean and nice. Service was good.
