Chipotle has become one of my favorite fast food chains so far and will continue to be. Their (sorta) mexican food cannot be topped by anything else, maybe except Moe's Southwest Grill from a competitive standpoint.
Food: Simple, pick what you want, burrito 🌯 Ok, a bowl 🥣 Alright, or how about not one, not two, but THREE tacos 🌮 , now that is cool!!! Other then that, there is a new limited time protein called the Smoked Brisket and it is selling out fast.
Atmosphere: Not too many people so the line at this location, Vestavia Hills, wasn't busy, I had placed an online order so mine was already ready beforehand, it has a sleek and modern vibe to it, low chairs and high chairs with lighting on your food so you know exactly what you're eating.
Service: Much better then the Hoover, AL Chipotle, this is more consistent, they sometimes still skimp on my bowl but that doesn't really matter to me too much. I'd recommend this place to others.

I drove seven minutes out of my way and passed to chipotle just to go to this location because of the service reviews. I wanted Good service. When I came there, I did not get greeted and when I said hello, there was no response back. The whole entire time they were no interaction other than being racist. I said I would like black beans twice and I guess she didn’t hear me and she said it’s OK for you to say black jokingly. I said have a good day no response. Then two other groups of people come in after I sit down to eat And she treats them with respect and I totally different attitude. I expect the same service from everyone. The whole entire time I was eating all I heard in the background was cussing

Ordered online, and drove 30 minutes all the way home. When I looked at the order at home, one of my bowls was missing 4 ingredients. The girl making the order never mentioned the store being out of any ingredients, not sure what happened. I literally just got a half filled bowl of rice, meat, and cheese. This is just sad.

Never complete a pickup order at this location. I received (1) tablespoons of rice, (3) pieces of chicken, a “sprinkle”, of cheese and (10)strands of lettuce. When I took the food back into the location, the general manager named Stephen said he made the order. As I stood there, I observed someone making another customers order and the order was made with piles of food. This general manager asked if I wanted more lettuce?!! I was completely appalled and he pissed me off beyond a normal level. I have reported them to the corporate office and I will keep posting until they give people what they pay for.

Unfortunately this location has been going downhill lately. When I arrived in the evening the place was in shambles. Every table had food on it. No ice. No napkins. Condiment area was trashed. I feel for the staff, they looked like they had just been battling zombies for 9 hours. What happened here?

I went to chipotle on 04/29/24, I was told that my order wasn't going to be made fresh or correctly. I then asked for a sample of the food. The chicken was very uncooked and the steak was cold and hard. I was told by two boys in the restaurant (the one that’s picture) that I can “take it how it is or leave.” That was the manager of the restaurant at that time, told me that. which then he proceeded to go sit in the car with somebody and smoke for over 30 mins. The other guy that I had asked about the food, asked why “you want food or you just are going to stand here.” I then turned around and asked another worker..Q (Quilcan) could he make my food and he agreed no questions asked and with good service. He was very polite and respectful. I’m very upset with the service and staff today. Do not eat at this restaurant!!

I keep trying to give this place another chance but it's another let down. Food is never ready for pickup when it says. Then it just looks like a complete mess when it's ready. You have a guy changing out garbage bags, a lady smoking outside and only one out of 6 employees actually making food while 4 people are waiting for orders past pickup time. The guy making food is all over the kitchen and register while wearing the same gloves the whole time. Hate to be so critical but just so much wrong with the experience. Definitley not coming back to this location.

The staff at this location is the rudest staff I have ever encountered at a Chipotle. They treated us like we were a burden. They didn’t have the ingredients to make what we needed. I wouldn’t recommend coming here. Drive the distance to another Chipotle.

I eat Chipotle very often and most of the time I enjoy myself thoroughly. I've never had an issue with customer service, food, or the overall experience. Although this time I was given barely three ounces of barbacoa after paying eleven dollars for it. The employees weren't being rude though. They were extremely helpful the entire time.

They gave me very small portions for myself and my child. We did not order much, but the total was $60. The server was terse and unfriendly. The employees were camped out at the table next to ours. I will not go to chipotle again. I could have gotten everything i got there from Taco Bell for under $30 and it would have tasted better.

This location used to be great; unfortunately, they’ve had staffing issues for a long while, and their customer service has suffered. After several bad experiences, today was the worst. I came in to order onsite, but as usual, they only take online orders. I placed my order online, and when I got my food they told me they were out of guac (at 4 pm, not even the end of the day) the lady who helped me was rude from the beginning and she was even rude to her coworkers.
I hope they improve their situation, until then, I’ll get my food from other Chipotle locations.

Every time I come to this store, I get what I ordered, fast, great, professional.
Soul, whom I spoke to for a moment, was floating around the kitchen supporting her staff. As a fellow restaurant manager I enjoyed watching a positive work environment, and was happy this place was being well run.

Placed an online order waited inside for the 10 minutes it said it would be ready. After the 10 minutes had passed they didn't even begin to make my order. People were walking in and they were helping them even though I had been waiting after the time I was informed my order would be ready. They saw me standing there waiting near the order pick up area never said anything to me and continued to help others walking in after 20 minutes past my eta for my order I went up and asked if my order was going to be made as it was due 20 minutes ago they said yes. People kept coming and and they just didn't make my order. After waiting 50 minutes for my order I just left. 5 minutes after that I got a notification saying my order was ready. This is byfar the worst customer service I've ever had, sad this location has this kind of service as most chipotles are wonderful. Will not be going back.

most horrible customer service i've ever received in a restaurant. not even the sewage mcdonalds in alabaster is this bad. the girl making the food scolded me for being there too early to pick up my mobile order. then she mumbled something incoherently. after waiting 10 minutes for my order i was 5 minutes early for, i asked if my food was ready and she yelled at me saying they are out of guacamole and she didnt have time to run all over the store looking for me. i was 3 fest from her and i had not moved lol. this girl has no business working in a food service business. this was obvious and unacceptable discrimination. i will never go back.

Do not eat at this Chipotle. Within the past few months they have completely replaced their staff and the food and service has suffered as a result. I could describe more than one bad experience at this location but today I recived a burrito with watery, under-cooked rice, and with lettuce that was somehow covered in cooking oil. You're better off going elsewhere.

This location is terrible. The food seems the same as any other Chipotle, but it’s slow and they don’t always have everything. They run extremely behind on online orders, and it doesn’t always seem like they’re particularly busy when that happens either. I’ve been in to pick up an order and had to wait for it to be done past the time it said it would be done with just a couple of other people also waiting.

Only online orders and they aren’t capable of keeping up. Literally went to the store and came back then waited some more. Food is never right and meat portions are stingy. Almost cracked a tooth on the rice more than once.

Showed up for an order I placed at 12:50 and it’s 12:25 and still haven’t had my order. He also said they were out of chips and I got no reimbursement. There was only one employee working during “Rush hour”
For lunch. Over 10 people are waiting for their food and only one employee. Very disappointed at Chipotle and leadership for providing this during lunch.

I've been going to this Chipotle for a very long tim and the last few years the service and convenience just isn't there. Every time I go in there they say they are only taking online orders. If your only taking online. They are very polite but if I was going to door dash or order online I would have done that. The quality and quantity of the prepared order isn't like it use to be either. Honestly there are 3 other Chipotles just as close in any direction I think I'll be taking my business to those from now on.

“Closes” at random hours - or they lock the door and only take online orders. Last time I went, they kept the doors locked for online orders and left customers standing out in the rain, only to come out after 20 minutes to say they don’t have rice. Pretty hilarious, but totally avoiding this chipotle in the future

There are some shenanigans going on with this alleged 4-star location. Just look at the reviews, sorted by "Newest". How is this place still open?
Placed on online order; it was cancelled 15 minutes later with no reason given. Called in to see if I could come pick it up instead, and played ring-around-the-rosie with a bot until deciding this meagerly-portioned bowl wasn't worth giving up my last few hairs with any color.

I placed a mobile order after 7pm for 7:40, get to chipotle the doors are locked, sign on the door says closes at 7pm. There are workers inside, they won’t come to the door. I try to cancel my order in the app and the chat bot doesn’t understand. I’m hungry and currently out of $25. This is a terrible customer experience.

Don't order online. Their quality of food has gone down and price at this location has gone up as compared to other Chipotle locations. I have been regular online order and pickup customer at this location for the past two years and now I've stopped placing my order at this location. There have been many instance where they have missed lot of toppings from my online order which I realized only after coming home. Also, the quality of food has gone down and there have been many instances where it was not of Chipotle standards. My most recent experience was again online order pickup related. I went to pick up my order and was told that they are out of rice. Usually, in the past, whenever they were out of something, the website didn't allow me to place an order online and it will usually said "Temporarily unavailable". Last time the website did allow me to order even though the rice was unavailable and I only came to know about it when I reached the location to pickup my order. I was also ready to wait until it's ready but they didn't have any estimate and ultimately I had to leave the restaurant without my order. Wasted my time. I decided not to go to this place after that and would not recommend anyone placing online order here.

DO NOT COME HERE. The normal staff has moved to the river chase location. This staff is terrible. 4 other customers plus myself have been standing in line for 30 minutes while the staff deals with repeated online orders being returned for being incorrect. I don’t know why the switch was made, but the manager of this location needs to do something. If you are a regular here, go to the river chase location now.

This used to be a wonderful place, however with the addition of the new staff who were working the closing shift today (Dec 13th) It is an awful experience. I received the wrong items on my burrito after being forced to make an online order even though the workers weren’t doing anything. I’ve had run ins with the same two lady’s who worked tonight and every single time it makes me want to come back less and less, they always close extremely early, are sloppy and give me the wrong food CONSTANTLY. Ive spoken to some friends and they knew exactly who I was talking about immediately, Chipotle please reconsider ur staff as of now and most importantly, HIRE BETTER WORKERS!

The worst Chipotle location in Birmingham. Employees are unattentive to customers and their delivery drivers; they consistently have people lined up out the door waiting because they are so slow and work with no urgency. They are consistently rude and have an attitude that is unbearable. I make it a priority to avoid picking up from here.

If I could give this place 0 starts I definitely would first off I am calling the health department Monday!! I went to this horrid place but I usually go to the one in Hoover & I’ve NEVER had a bad experience with Chipotle EVER!! Anyway Friday November 4 I ordered a High Protein Bowl as the young African American lady with the curly reddish hair was fixing my meal I saw her Hispanic friend come on the side of her asking her “is that the chicken she used” pointing at it & they began whispering & me being me nice as ever I stated “it’s fine” so they get done whispering & the Hispanic lady finished my meal asking if I wanted shredded cheese I told her I wanted Queso and she gave me both I paid for my meal it was like $17. I ate my meal and around 4 am that Saturday I woke up feeling dizzy, nauseous, lightheaded etc. (you know the FOOD POISONING SYMPTOMS) I was vomiting & had diarrhea UNCONTROLLABLY!! I feel this was done to me intentionally & I’m not sure why I was very respectful, calm, & patient however the women who fixed this meal KNEW something was wrong with the chicken otherwise why did she ask about that particular chicken, anyway Chipotle in Vestavia you all will hear from the health department & my attorney.

Extremely bad visit. One of the young ladies there took her gloved hands and smudged sour cream, cheese and something else on the table where they were preparing food. Then she came to the counter where customers were placing orders and she wiped both of her hands on the counter, even wiped her nose with the back of her hand. Never changed gloves or washed her hands.

If I could give 2.5 stars I would. I eat here a lot because it’s right near my workplace. The staff is usually really friendly but they are often understaffed, and often have online ordering only because of this. The food usually tastes pretty good but I’ve noticed sometimes their guac has brown spots and their lettuce is always a little freezerblistered/soggy because they freeze it. i know because several times I have found lettuce pieces with little ice crystals still on them from being frozen. Doesn’t bother me too terribly bad but I obviously would prefer fresh lettuce. isn’t that chipotle’s whole thing is that everything’s prepared fresh that day ? Last thing: I got food poisoning from this location a few months ago. Talked to the chipotle online help people about it and reported it but idk if they ever did an investigation into it. I know it’s common for people to get food poisoning from all chipotles because of the nature of their food/service style but I was not happy to be vomiting, nauseous, dizzy and delirious for four whole days- I lost ten pounds in a week because of it and because I was not able to keep anything down for several days. Anyways, that was one incident of many many many times I’ve been to this location. hopefully they are more careful with their food safety after that. I’ve been back since and it was fine, just your standard chipotle.

I visited this store on 10/26/22 at 5:25 pm.
My visit to this store was awful. There was a female employee that I exchanged unpleasant looks with. My issue wasn't with her personally, but some things she did.
When I stepped to the counter to order, I saw her at the center table in the back where food was being prepared. The table had an area where it had sour cream, cheese and corn, she took her gloved hand and ran it across this spot just smudging the food into the table.
After that she came to the front counter and wiped both her gloved hands onto the counter where customers order were being prepared. It's like something a child would do playing with food in the kitchen.
After that, she wiped her nose with the back of her hand. At no time did she change gloves or wash her hands. In between these things that she did, she went to the young lady at the register, each time they would say things, looking at me and laughing. The whole thing was very disgusting, I think employees should be more responsible than this. This looks like something she probably does all this time.
I have ZERO plans of visiting here anytime soon.

This location NEVER seasons their food. I live down the street so I have had this location’s food multiple times and it’s always unseasoned. Compared to the other chipotle’s in the area, this one is always leaving me unsatisfied.

This location ALWAYS skimps out on portions. I paid extra to have two meats on my bowl and 98% of the final product was just rice. Didn't even include the fajita veggies.
And god forbid you ask them to give you a proper portion because they'll charge you DOUBLE portion of meat.

I heavily recommend against ordering online at this Chipotle location. Not only was I not alerted that the online system was down after paying the order online, but the employees refused to make my order when I arrived at the restaurant. They told me to call their support line to get a refund (in the photo below). I understand that staffing and overwork may lead to situations like this, but having the employees tell me to get out and warning to call the police when I kept asking to just get my order completed while I'm there is disrespectful. One of the employees even scoffed me after I apologized for being mad that they wouldn't make my order. I called the support line and told management to look at the location's cameras to see how their employees acted towards me as proof of misconduct but as expected nothing happened. I did at least end up getting a refund on my order. However please think twice before ordering online from this location. I do not want anybody else to go through what I experienced.

I did a online order because I was on my 30 minute break. My order was suppose to be ready at 12:30. I go in and it’s not on the shelf so I ask someone and he tells me he was going to check on it. He never did. I had to get in line and order my food. It took me 20 minutes to get my bowl. Don’t order online.

Wasted alot of time trying to redeem my birthday gift on their app and they kept telling my son that they didn't know what the gift was, yeah Right. Over thirty minutes wasted, then his second trip inside the restaurant they magically finds the damn gift. I don't plan to ever go to this location again period.

This location is only acceptable when you get the right woman making your food on the line. Delivery? Garbage. The orders are never correct and you can ask for extra sour cream or lettuce and they may say "Ya know what, we just won't put those on there at all". It has happened countless times, whether I'm ordering or I am included on someone else's order.
The owner for this location is always monitoring the kitchen staff, which is why I assume the portions are low and mistakes are made. If my boss was looking over my shoulder, my customer service would decline as well.
Avoiding this location, even though it is the closest to my place of work, from here on out.

Night shift staff is a joke. Lazy and always sitting around gossiping, putting an “online only” sign on the door and refusing service to people without smartphones. Had one staff member scream at me to leave when my phone was dead and I was trying to order in person. Online ordering is a joke, they never include the extras or get anything accurate. I will stay day shift is 10/10 experience in comparison. Avoid this place after 5pm unless you love rude service!

Hit or miss. Sometimes it’s really good and then sometimes the meat is too fatty or the rice isn’t seasoned. When it’s good it good but when it’s bad it’s really bad

The brown rice in my burrito bowl was undercooked and crunchy. The fajita veggies were practically raw and twice the width that they are normally. My mother's white rice in her bowl was overcooked and mushy. The chicken in our bowl was burnt not grilled. The chicken was so burnt it was unable to be chewed and tasted just like char. Both of our meals were so gross we ended up tossing them in the trash. This was the worst Chipotle experience I ever had.

This is literally the best Chipotle in the area! No matter when I go, the food is always prepared well. I cannot say the same for the Hoover locations. Went to the one by the galleria Friday and it was awful. Chicken was burnt and the rice was under cooked.

For months now they've had a sign on their door saying online orders only due to a shortage in staff. The sign has been off and on, alternating every few days between having an open lobby or only taking online orders. Although there are usually 5ish staff sitting inside the store doing absolutely nothing. How has no one complained about this? The owner of this location is a joke.

I'd give them 0 starts if i could. completely overcharged me and shorted me for something i get all the time. mexican man that seemed to be a manager or owner was probably the most rude and unprofessional person i've ever encountered. told me "if i had a problem then call customer service". wouldn't go here ever again nor want to work here.

I absolutely love chipotle grill. It’s my personal favorite for Latino/ Mexican. It’s ALWAYS SUPER FRESH. They have outside seating which is great for this time of year (June 2021) . I always order the three tacos, crispy , barbaquoa + additions. The queso is top notch and they have many varieties of salsas. A+ 5 stars.

I think we all thought they would have more to choose from. However, we all thought that what we had was pretty good. My daughter had a chicken burrito, my grandson had steak tacos, and I had steak salad. We all thought the taste was good. When they were making them, they said mild, med, or hot. My grandson said med. He didn't know they meant salsa, which he does not like at all. He tried them, but then gagged. We took them back up and I told the manager, who was the one who put the salsa on, that my grandson didn't know he was referring to salsa. So they made them again and my grandson said they were good then. Overall, tasty, but we all expected something a bit more impressive with all the hype you hear.

Actually signed in to google just to warn people of this. This is not possibly, but 100% the worst chipotle in Alabama. Shockingly enough, the chipotle in Tuscaloosa has better service. I award you 0 points, and I’d take the 1 star away if I could.

LITERALLY THE WORST CHIPOTLE.
They constantly forget things from my orders/get things wrong. The drink machine is literally ALWAYS out of syrup or not working.
Please I beg, fix it!!!!!!!!!!!! I love chipotle but I will be visiting a different location from now on.

Checked out this Chipotle while in the area for lunch. This is my first visit to any Chipotle before.
I compare my experience to a Mexican Subway. You pick what you want and then add toppings from there.
I chose the burrito and my wife the salad. The topping chooses where limited and few. My steak was overcooked and chewy. I asked for sour cream and the amount that was added over powered any other flavor that my burrito might have. (It was dripping with sour cream)
My wife ordered bbq beef with her salad. When asked if it was beef or pork. The response was , “I don’t know but it’s called barbecue”
For fast food Mexican it was a step above Taco Bell but no where near as good as Taco Mama. The price for a salad and burrito was well over $20.
Service was quick but not friendly. Would not recommend, might try another location one day and see if it is any better.

I have never faced an issue with chipotle before, but today I had an issue with the sanitizing parts, one of the coworker is literally coughed on the sparkling water that I order from the fridge and the other girl that she add the ice on the soft drinks machine she pick up the ice that falling from her with her bare hand and put it back into the drinks machine. Sorry chipotle but we are human , and coronavirus is everywhere.

I have loved Chipotle forever! Though, I ordered postmates today and had a bad experience. The service was great and it tasted great until I found a hair in my food!!! I have never had a problem like this and haven’t noticed the sanitary issues in the restaurant, but I was tremendously disappointed and disgusted at my findings! I hope this helps!
