We were passing through on a trip and had a great lunch here. The food is tasty, the portions are generous, and it was ready really quickly. Our waiter was super nice and took great care of us.

Tecate is so amazing!! The staff there is truly so welcoming and makes you feel special and cared for. The food is so good and the service is even better. They are always so kind and understanding. I will always go to Tecate whenever I can because i know I will have the best experience. It is truly my favorite restaurant.

Great place to eat. Our waiter we called Batman was extremely good. He was very attentive and made us smile. We were celebrating our February birthdays. The margaritas were outstanding.

Tecate is the best restraunt in vestavia! The workers are so friendly, the food is amazing and the atmosphere is chill and fun. My friends and I go twice a week and the workers make an effort to know our names and order. Truly the best staff and food!

Bad service I ordered my steak medium cooked and got it over cooked and they takes back to fix my order and I got my steak raw and raw green bell pepper and onions raw also.

i hate writing this review, because i love tecate. have been eating here for years now! but tonight really sucked. the service was fine at first, but after they wrote my check out they never came back to check on me at all. i am always confused on whether you pay up front or at the table here, because different servers do it differently and usually they'd take my card at the table. so i sat there with my card on top of the check for about thirty minutes. the server and i guess the floor manager kept walking past me and seeing the card, saying nothing. it was only when i sighed after a phone call that she stopped to tell me to go up front and pay. like you both walked past me for thirty minutes and didn't say a word, so i wasted half an hour waiting thinking they were just busy.

Ate here with some coworkers, so I'll forgive them for getting my order wrong. The food was pretty good, and the drinks are what you expect. I got their lime margarita during happy hour for a decent price, and I wasn't disappointed. Next time, I'll have to try the strawberry one! 😁

Had a nice time here with my mom and sister’s. The food was great and they had a nice variety of lunch specials. Our server was a bit aloof, so he didn’t make our experience a full 5/5.

CHECK YOUR BILL AGAINST THE MENU! I really wish I could leave a review of 0 stars. Ordered steak fajitas they came out burnt, my wife ordered hers without tomatoes and they didnt offer to make her a new order just said to pock them off, when i get my bill i see the totals scratched out and a new total was on the bill. When going to pay another customer says they can order the same thing over and over and the bill will be different each time. Had the manager even try to figure out the bill he kept coming up with different amounts. Very shady business who probably shouldnt be open. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS RESTAURANT! First time there last time ever going back.

Excellent service...really a good server who took the time to do a great job. Lunch menu is perfect size perrions. Try the chicken quesadilla with rice & beans. Will return for sure. Handmade corn tortillas!

The restaurant has started assessing a 4% surcharge to all credit and debit card transactions. The only way to escape the surcharge is by paying cash. We have been going here for over 10 years, but we will not be going back. I have never seen a restaurant add a surcharge to card transactions anywhere.

If I could give zero stars I would. First of all, used my real id and was denied any alcohol. After that, they continued to stare at us like animals as if we were doing anything wrong. I’ve grown up going here, for about 20 years and will never come back based off of the service I received tonight.

They were busy with a few customers waiting. We ordered take out. Waiting customers were seated quickly & our food was ready in about 10 min. Chicken fajita plate & shrimp taco salad were very good & enough for two meals. We will definitely go back.

Their food is quite good and we have been eating their for years. Now, the prices have gone up to the point I can get comparable food for much less. We got 2 entrees and queso and our bill was $50. At $25 per entree I can do better.

The food was amazing but the staff and service was horrible I had to wait an hour for my food to be served it wasnt even full there were 3 tables including mine and i had to go and get my own napkins and straw from another table since i asked for some and never recieved it.

Great place with awesome food and really quick service. We have tried a variety of different things on their lunch menu and have never had a bad experience. They make a great slasa! We usually go on Sundays for lunch and the church crowd can be busy but the wait is never too long.

Great service and good food. They have a good size menu to choose from. We got the steak fajitas and cheese and chicken enchiladas. Both were really good. What I appreciated the most, was their customer service. We have a young child who was really hungry when we went. We ordered her food before ours and they brought it out right away. Much appreciated!

This place used to br great. The play 3 times have,been awful. The food is mediocre at best and the service is strongly lacking. We had to ask for drink andwater refills and they weren't busy. When I went to play the cashier took 5 minutes to come up front to the register. We literally could have left without paying.

Good food. Son loves dinosaur chicken nuggets and says it's the best cheese dip anywhere. Staff is wonderful. If you're there Sunday afternoon, we probably are there too.

Great deal for Sunday.....they offer their lunch specials just like during the week. We had steak fajitas. Good price and delish. Wife had guacamole salad. Served with lots of lettuce & tomatoes for only $3.00!!!!! Happy hour margaritas from 2 pm to 7pm. Great service. Chips could be a little thinner but they were fresh and crispy. Will return again soon!

I'm not sure why it's taken me so long to compliment Tecate. They have been providing delicious food and great customer service for years. This trip was no different!
We were greeted and sat immediately and our friendly server had drinks and cheese dip over to the table with in minutes.
I wish I could say the same for other restaraunt in the area.
We will be back many more times!
