Quick seating brought food quick free salsa and one free refill. Sat us under the air vent which was great til I was froze but I prefer that over hot. I'd go again. Pics is a medium frozen strawberry margarita they also allowed me to take in to go cup

I had lunch here and they had a really nice lunch menu with perfect size portions, and prices. I had the burrito supreme, and it was very good. I really liked that It came with a lot of lettuce and tomato, like having a side salad. The flan was good, maybe a little dense and over sweet. I also ordered enchiladas to go for a meal the next day and they were also very good. My only disappointment was the salsa. I prefer my salsa with bits of peppers and tomatoes and cilantro in it. Still it was good. Nothing worth taking off a star. The service was excellent.

I visited here for the first time after passing through and deciding to stop. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here. Very relaxing atmosphere. The server ( a younger guy) came to our table almost immediately and took care of us very professionally. The tortilla chips came out hot and tasty and so did our food. I had Quesadilllas that were very tasty and my best friend had the chicken strips which were piping hot and right out of the fryer. I will definitely visit again.

Excellent service and the food was absolutely delicious! This has to be, hands down, the best Mexican restaurant I have been to in awhile! Everything from the salsa, chips, and the meal that I ordered was perfection! My waiter was phenomenal! The atmosphere was very relaxing.

Service was bad waitress was rude and food was not given on time. I really do not recommend that restaurant and plus they put their own tip in the receipt... I prefer going to El patron or the Maya's restaurant those two restaurants good service nice people and good food

First time eating here. Was surprised to find what looked to be canned chicken in the chicken enchilada, and the white cheese sauce was super salty like it also came from a can. I suppose more surprising was how many folks were waiting to get a table. It was edible and not expensive, but I shall not be going back to this location.

Went here for a birthday dinner out Thu. Dec. 5 2024. We ordered shrimp fajitas, Mexican dinner. Portions were big and the food was cooked to perfection, we could not eat it all. Guacamole was fresh and delicious. We had margarita and Dos Equis amber on draft perfect with our meal. Staff was friendly and service excellent. Needless to say, we will be back.

We went here with about 20 people for supper and do every time we go to town from Ft Toulouse events. They are always on point with service and the food and they never rush us out. It's one of our favorite restaurants to go to.

My family placed a lard take out order. Upon arrival to pick up, the host barely said anything to me when I walked in. Didn't give an estimated time, or anything. I'm a San Marcos patron for the last 30 years. And this is well below their standards!

Ordered # and when we got our food mine was not correct and my partners was missing part of hers. When we asked the waiter about it he became visibly annoyed. Then he wanted to charge us extra. Never came back to see if we needed refills or anything. Very disappointing.

Customer service excellent, great selection of bar drinks.
Their very basic Mexican plates ( like chile rellenos and flautas ) are nowhere near authentic or favorable. When it comes to desserts, churros, ice cream, and whip cream were excellent.
I've sampled meals all over Mexico, USA, and Texas primarily (TexMex). This restaurant doesn't cut it.

I’ve been a customer of San Marcos for years. Just had lunch and both my husband and myself ordered steak quesadillas. They came out with 2-3 pieces of steak on them. We complained and were told we’d get a discount because of the poor quality of the meal. We got to the register and the “manager” on duty told us that we had been asked multiple times about our meal and never said we had an issue. This was actually not the case. The waiter never came back to the table until we asked for our check at which time we told him that there was no steak in our quesadillas. She told us that she checked with the kitchen and they claimed that the quesadillas had the same amount they always do because it’s premeasured. I know that’s not the case because I have eaten several times and ordered the same thing. She had a very poor attitude and did nothing to resolve the situation. We spent $30 for basically a vegetable and cheese quesadilla. Very disappointed as I have always had great experiences there.

I had the chili which was delicious. Traditional Mexican chili, not Texas style. Chunks of beef, not ground, and no tomato or beans. Nicely spicy without being overly hot. Also had the steak fajitas which were good, but not especially memorable. Had the house made hot salsa which was very flavorful on the fajitas. The service was excellent and I had an overall enjoyable experience.

Excellent meal, sat large party after an event quickly even though it was busy. Server was polite, attentive, and quick. Food was great, and one guest at table didn't order what they thought they did and a manager swapped it out fast. Very friendly, tasty, and great priced meal. I will eat there again!

It's been about 2 years since visiting this restaurant. My experience then was mediocre at best. I'm pleased to say, my experience at the bar on my visit today was fantastic! I appreciated my bartender. Thank you for your time and attention. My wings were excellent, and the margarita was on point.

The waiter wrote in a tip after I signed my ticket he also swiped my card for 70.95 on Apple Pay, I did not eat here I had 3 beers that cost me 95.95 due to your fraud. Everyone pay with cash here and make sure to pay at register cause these ppl are crooks😡😡😡 don’t recommend they also frauds my daughter card for 70.95 on Apple Pay and that waiter needs to be fired

Tried to say they could not sell half an order of fish tacos. Then rang me up for 2 SHRIMP tacos which is the SAME price as a FULL order of fish tacos. So she was going to sell me 2 tacos for the price of 4. Tried to say I’m just doing what they tell me to do after she said that she couldn’t do it at all. Not happy at all

Real bad service, had to wait 1 hour for the food, they brought part of our order the other have 30 minutes later, by that time the rest of the food was cold, had to get up twice just to find a waiter to take our order, really bad service, not worth the money I spend in this place

Idk I love San Marcos but this one lacks flavor to me the refried beans were flat no real taste to them. I order the Burrito, Enchilada rice and beans plate, the just lacked seasoning. Queso is always good though make sure u ask for spicey to make it better.

I went to grab lunch for my coworker & I. I had to go back due to my chimichanga fried like chicken. I overheard the short guy saying it's suppose to be fried but sir absolutely not fried to HELL! My coworker taco salad was filled with grease that it was a pool of grease in the plate! I checked my food before leaving but didn't remove the lid. Once I got back to work to eat .. it was something with black specs & hairs on one end of my chimichanga🤮🤮 I was so grossed out that we both just trashed our lunch. I would always eat from the San Marcos on Burbank in Montgomery so, I figured everything was good here as well. BIG MISTAKE!! I hope they become rich from our $7 & $8. You're in a place of business to fix people food but don't fix people food according to how you would do your own!!! Make it make sense. Get out of the kitchen preparing other people food if you are really not genuine about it! PERIOD.

Food is great! The salsa is a step above the usual and that's just for starters. I had a burrito Supreme and the beef was richer, more favorable than usual. Service is fast and friendly.

Went there for Lunch today - Ordered a Burrito Supreme (Chicken). When it came the burrito was so small you couldn't tell where it was under the pile of lettuce. Once I found it I forked into it only to find 99% Beans and 1% Chicken (cubed). It was gone in 3 bites - never been to a Mexican Restaurant that has such small portions.

Very good food at reasonable prices. Would've given them 5 Stars if the places was cleaner. No excuse for having front entrance and restroom doors looking all beat up and in serious need of a good paint job. Also, men's room very filthy. You can see where employees used DIRTY mops to mop the floor. Inside kitchen looked horrendous. Walls dirty and banged up. Seriously ?? Note to Owner. This is a Restaurant! Not a cheap, roadside gas station convenience store! Do better. Clean and paint this place and make it more appealing place to eat.
