Luna's Mexican Restaurant

Haven't been here in years. I had the sampler platter which consisted of Chiles rellenos, quesadillas, changitos, and taquitos. The salsa i felt was a bit lacking and over all this is a decent tex-mex spot. Staff was super friendly and great. Will be back again to try other plates.

Order the top shelf Margaritas. So good. The fajitas are very good as well. Because they don't cut the meat it keeps all the juices in. I highly recommend Lunas.

Mix fajitas were great, we got The Corral. We also got stuffed jalapenos, which were also really good, and margaritas are great. Service was very attentive and met all our needs and expectations. Portions are more than enough for the price compared to some other restaurants.

Just move to the area. And had a long 20 Hour Dr. to get here. Me and my wife decided we’d grab a bite to eat and the place was pretty packed. When I initially drove by. Pick some things up at the Walmart across the way and went to grab a bite to eat. We had our service pups with us. And they accommodated us accordingly. Service was initially good, and then it went downhill at the end of the evening. I ordered fajitas, but the girl never mentioned anything about tots where you put the meat and vegetables into. The server was a little apologetic. And that got straightened out but at the end of the evening when we wanted our check, we felt isolated in the back room where people were already cleaning tables moving things around. And she was nowhere to be found. It would’ve been nice if Iris was a bit more attentive. But I had to get a bus boy to get her and it took him over 10 minutes to find her. So the end of the evening was not a great experience.

We were a party of 3. They were very punctual, greeting us at the door. They didn't take long getting our drink and food orders. Our drinks and food came very quickly. Overall, we enjoyed our time. It was really fun watching the Astros play while we ate and visited with each other.

Great food, and our server was kind and courteous. I ordered The Tex Mex dip as an app and The Chimichanga as an Entree. The Tex-Mex dip was awesome! Full of flavor and cheese! Lots of cheese. The Chimichanga was full of seasoned steak, and Monterey Jack cheese. The steak was bursting with flavor, and the cheese just oozed out with deliciousness. My uncle ordered the Tacos Cabon, and he said they were amazing. If I am ever back in Baytown, I will be going back.

It was just okay for me, the food could use more flavor. I had the nachos supreme in which the menu said it came with tomatoes and we had to ask for tomatoes after we received our food and some taquitos. The taquitos needed more meat both the chicken and the beef.

This restaurant is in a prime location surrounded by home depot lowe's walmart and I-hop. They have a very large parking lot. The restaurant has two large seating areas and a bar. The restaurant and the restrooms were very clean the staff were very kind courteous and professional. The food was absolutely wonderfull. I had a custom made giant burrito. My wife had A steak seafood and chicken fajita. While my daughter felt adventurous and decided to have something she has never had before she ordered a meal that served goat. The meal ended with both my ladies having to take some home because the portions were so big, And enjoying an order of fried ice cream to go. Nobody at my table could say anything negative about the food or the staff and it was our first time eating there and we will be returning.

So it's been abt 2yrs me n my husband came last n at the time it was just ok so this time I was really hoping for a very good meal we brought my 17yr old son here for the first time to try quesadillas n honestly I couldn't even believe the price $20 for tortilla fajita n cheese was just ridiculous I had the enchilada plate which was about $15 my husband had the carne quisada plate which price was abt the the same so I dnt understand how my sons piece of meat on a tortilla was 20 dollars n our waitress wasn't great either and it was really slow during the evening it wasn't busy at all n then to be seated in the back with small children tht cry wasn't great either. Our total came out to 76 dollars it was crazy ridiculous n not worth the price. Sadly I did not leave a tip I just couldn't not for the service n then the food could've been much better even the chips n queso the chips cold n looked like they been there a min. There's much better Mexican restaurants n u won't pay tht much for 3 meals. Wnt be back again.

Took my mom for her birthday to this location & compared to the friendswood location this location was not up to the expected standards as how nice the restaurant looks. 1.) The pico de gallo was dry, had a lot of onion hardly any tomatoes/lime/salt/jalapeño
2.) The fajita quesadillas had too much cheese & hardly any meat & the meat was hard. RIDICULOUS to pay $19.95 for only 2 pieces of slices of fajita.
3.) The yellow cheese in the plates was super pale, dry, & did not look appetizing.
4.) The guacamole salad tasted store bought instead of fresh.
5.) The charro beans were not fresh.

I haven't been to Luna's in years and when my sister suggested going for lunch, we raced over. We were at the location in Baytown near Walmart, just off Garth Road, the newest location. I loved the new building (it's been there for years, but it's "new" to me). And just as before, when I went at least twice a week, it was still great!

When you first walk in it smells like straight piss. Idk why they can’t have air fresheners or something. The smell is strong and at first I thought maybe something happened, then I came back abt a month later and same smell, I brought a family member with me who noticed how bad it was. The service wasn’t too great the first time I went, the server didn’t know anything at all and it was my first time going so I was hoping I’d have a good experience. The food was impeccable though, it was extremely delicious and had lots of flavors! That’s the only good thing I can say about this place. I don’t recommend for anything but the food.

If you’re looking for a spot to eat, skip this place and go to Taco Bell instead.
The food is terrible, place looks like a rundown jungle (didn’t even know that was possible) and many of the plants are filled with dust.
If you go and get the fajitas make sure you sharpen your teeth before you dig in, might just loose one.
I also ordered the fajita tacos, came back as chicken. Sent it back and they came back with fajita but they missed the tortilla. The meat was on the side and they folded the tortilla knowing dam well the meat hadn’t made it inside of it.

Also I almost got taken out by the busboy with the bin that they use to clean the tables and put dirty dishes on. Dude was running like his life depended on it. He hit the side of the booth also inches from my grandpa and moved the whole booth over.
Not a sorry or anything he just kept running. Literally running….
Overall, disappointing. I took my grandpa for Father’s Day but I think after that experience he might have gotten the impression I took him there because I don’t like him.
Moral of this post, if you love someone DONT take them there, they might think you hate them .

Also I see why it’s “famous Fajitas’s “ I’m sure they have a wall of fame at the local dentist Office.

The experience I had was horrible waiter was nowhere to be found and I was waiting to order that made my stay longer the chips where hard as rocks there were not fresh and I never was asked for a refill on my ice tea and no napkins at all I left waiting on a refill and napkins Bad service.

Yummy! Hubby and I share the tour if we are hungry AND want leftovers. We get the sampler and share it for the yummiest quick lunch. The huge fireplace is so nice when it's chilly or wet outside, and the only downer is the music. Sometimes it's a bit loud. Hubby can just turn off his hearing aids! Lol

La verdad es de los peores restaurantes mexicanos a los que he ido, se ve sucia la alfombra, el salero y pimentero terriblemente sucios y desagradables. La salsa verde de los chips increíblemente tenía buena consistencia pero nada de sabor, era agua. Pedimos un plato para dos que era el Santafe y los egg roll tenían el mismo relleno de los jalapeños fritos, un queso que en menos de 5 minutos se enfría y queda la sensación en los labios de sucio, los jalapeños era pequeñitos, el dip de carne molida era un puré completo, dejamos la mitad de esa parte del plato, después cuando trajeron las fajitas, la carne estaba rica de sabor, el pollo estaba bien de textura pero le faltaba sabor, solo venían 3 camarones, la cebolla se nos quemó la mayoría en el comal; el arroz no tenía sabor de nada, los frijoles refritos estaban ok, el aguacate de lo que se supone es el “guacamole” estaba bien de sabor y por lo menos no estaba oxidado (negro). Los platos de cerámica y cubiertos se ven viejos de años y manchados que parece que estuvieran sucios. La atención de Marta creo que se llamaba la mesera fue buena y muy amable, la atención de ella, el sabor de la carne y del aguacate es lo único que es rescatable de esta experiencia. Ah tampoco entendimos por qué ponían a todas las personas que llegaban tan juntas y en la misma esquina. Le falta mas amor a la comida y atención a los detalles de limpieza. Una lástima que no tomé fotos.

We had Luna’s Baytown cater our wedding in September 2023 and the food was amazing! The customer service was stellar from the first point of contact to delivery! They also had vegan friendly options. 10 out of 10 recommend!

The Caso tasted like melted Velveeta. The baked potato had no flavor. The service acted like they had a late night and did not want to be there. They did, however, keep the drinks full. The table was lopsided and had to keep pressure on one side, so the drinks did not slide off. The restaurant, however, was very clean in appearance. Could have just been an off day.

The food is good. I gave it four stars because they changed their green sauce, and my family is not a big fan of it anymore. We would come just for the green sauce, that is what we liked about Luna's. Well, I guess we have to find another place.

Service is a hit or miss if you get a good/attentive waiter. But the food is GREAT for the price AND quantity you receive. Always fresh, GREAT family platters. Boyfriend and I get the Tour of Mexico dinner for 2, and it would EASILY feed 3 1/2 people if needed, for only $36 or so. It’s a pretty quiet restaurant as well. Nice for a family dinner, large or small.

We had a huge party to serve after a funeral and the service was wonderful. The food was hot and everything was good. Except the sweet tea. It was way to sweet. I had to order half sweet/half unsweet.

Came in with high expectations but left with bad experience and taste. My friend came with me after a long time and he was super happy and joyful but after having this place he left depressed. Went yesterday for dinner and I was give. Ice cold charro beans (not exaggerating) and asked to swap them out and the waitress came back with the same ice cold beans. The carne asada was disgusting and hard. Manager had a really bad attitude and did not acknowledge us at all meanwhile she was yelling at the young staff. The food was beyond awful.

I used to drive Uber eats and had a lot of deliveries from this location so I decided to try it. The service was excellent and the restaurant was nice, however I found the food to be very bland and not what I expected from such a popular place

The food was fine. Just fine. There is nothing to write home about and not worth the price. Equally good at any decent home kitchen. I was expecting a livly atmosphere from the overpacked parking lot, but it's just a huge onslaught of GIANT families and rowdy kids. They placed myself and my partner (a young couple looking for a nice dinner) in the same section as the screaming kids and noisy families. Ruined the night before we even sat down. 10 minute wait before we were even asked what we would like for drinks. After that. We realized we needed to make several requests in one passing of the server in order to get a "normal experience". WE had to do the work to make OUR night decent. This was not a treat. I felt like a staff member, and this was all before the dinner rush. I couldn't imagine trying to enjoy myself here when it was busy. Just sit at the bar and pay for the overpriced food.

This is one of the best Mexican restaurants in Baytown area. Nice staff, good food and beautiful atmosphere.
Large space and nice small bar inside.

Visited this place this past Thursday for dinner I was sharply disappointed with the salsa it feels like they gave up on the salsas green neons looking one was gross the red one was a tad bit better.
I had the Acapulco fish my wife the pollo Veracruz only the main entrée was good the rice was dry and the charro beans where no good lacked flavor they absolutely had no flavor however the refried beans where good…

The food was old and reheated. The server took forever to come check on us. I was going to order a drink from the bar by the time she came by I tried ordering Nad she said bar was closed. She didn't even tell us about last call..
