I was doing volunteer work around the corner at Iglesia Bautista West Brownsville Baptist Church and they recommended this place. Great menu (although all in Spanish, so I needed help), friendly staff, good prices. Will definitely return.

Great place that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and also has a bakery in-house for pan dulce! Friendly staff and delicious food! They are are also available for catering with Tequizas where they take their food cart and make taquitos on the spot! They are also supportive of community organizations and events!👍👍🙂

The place was not busy due to rain. I came to La Vaquita to pick up tamales 1 doz chicken 1/2 dozen pork . Both were so good just like my Mom used to make . They were very accommodating; I walk with a cane . A nice waitress helped me with picking out sweet bread and a young man helped with taking my purchases to car. The manager was top notch ; very friendly, very professional

For 30 minutes they did not take our order. The tea was flavorless, colored water. We decided to leave after 45 minutes. They could not charge because the order tickets were misplaced. I ended up paying extra money just so I could leave somewhere where they would actually let us order food.

All I wanted was a cup of coffee, I even called ahead and the young lady advised that wasn’t a problem. When I arrived some lady comes to

they have bakery with pan dulce inside of the restaurant, I have been visited 2 times and everything was good. Now. we just discovered that they have like a buffet for 15 bucks.

I ordered a taquiza for a family gathering that I was having for my husband’s birthday. They were very fast to set up, and were ready to serve at the exact time I asked. The tacos and beans were delicious, and there was plenty of food for the family. Everyone loved the food; even the picky eaters commented that they thought it was delicious. They packed everything that was left over, and I was able to send the guests home with extra. They cleaned up quickly, and left the area extremely clean. I was so happy with the service and quality of food! I was a little nervous about the price when I ordered, but now I can say that it was 1,000% worth it. Will most definitely order from them again for big events.

La experiencia en este lugar es irregular. Un fin se semana el mejor pozole, al siguiente un pozole sin sabor y mucha grasa y poca carne. Siempre olvidan poner algo en tu paquete para llevar; ya sean las tostadas, el repollo, los limones entre otras cosas. Tal vez el problema sea la rotación porque seguido me atiende alguien distinto.

Decided to go to this restaurant again despite the last experience with the manager, where she refused to refund my money for an incorrect order. I took my family to breakfast this morning. Everything was good, the waiter was very friendly. I ordered a flour tortilla with my plate, which came several minutes after my food. It was not cooked throughly, so I asked if they could cook it a bit more. My family finished eating and I was still waiting. When they finally brought the tortilla, my food was already cold. I told the waiter I was not going to eat my food cold, plus I had already lost my appetite at this point. When I told the cashier that I was not going to pay for the plate. She said, "They could reheat the food." I no longer wanted the food, much less reheated food. She said she was still going to charge me for the plate. I asked why I should pay if I didn't eat the food. The plate was literally FULL. Her response was, "
"Porque no voy desperdisiar la comida" I told her I was not paying, and she had the audacity to say if I wasnt going to pay for the full order then she was STILL going to charge me half.
I said, then I'll have the same order but to go because I didn't want to spend another minute there.

She went to the kitchen, and when she came back, she told me, WITH AN ATTITUDE that she was not going to charge me the plate because they had already tossed the food in the trash. As if she was doing me a favor.
Even the people eating at the restaurant were staring because of how she spoke to me.

I will ALWAYS gladly pay for good service and good food. But the cashier you have working this morning is rude and condescending.

No other Mexican restaurant has been able to top this place. Original homemade recipes, fresh squeezed orange juice and excellent service. It's not the most economical place but it is worth every penny 🍽️ I highly recommend the birria, for all the lamb lovers out there. We lamb lovers know it is impossible to find restaurants that serve it. You can even buy it by the pound.

A comida é muito boa e o atendimento excelente! Porém o cheiro fortíssimo de fabuloso quando entra é péssimo, eu particularmente odeio esse fabuloso de lavanda, e um restaurante tem que ter cheiro de comida, café e etc.. e esse só cheira a químicos, tive que tomar medicamentos para alergia quando saí daí. Fora isso tudo bem.

Food arrived kinda cold. Was being helped by one waitress then she forgot about us. Another waitress came once in awhile. Food is kinda bland. And I probably won't go back in awhile.

This place was great! I got tacos de bistec and they’re were really good. FYI, the place is a little hidden and it’s take out only. I didn’t have to wait long, but it’s been packed with cars each time I’ve gone. I simply take that as a good sign.

Buscando algo que comer en familia encontré este restaurante, me sorprendió su comida rica, y resulta que tienen bufete, así que pude comer, carnitas, barbacoa, birria, menudo, tacos, el ambiente es acogedor, el trato es amable, además es panadería 🥯 al final tome un café con pan, por así decirlo fui buscando cobre y encontré oro... Recomiendo 100% visitarlo.

Comida como su presentación , esta delioioso, lo único desagradable es el servicio, la enemistad entre el personal lo reflejan hacia la clientela, la falta de apoyo entre ellos, la cajera llevo dos veces que voy y dos veces que se tarda más de 10 minutos en cobrarme , logrando así fila e ineficiencia. Que lástima! Por que este es un lugar de los pocos qué hay en esta zona para comer bien. Capaciten o seleccionen bien al personal.
