We love coming here. Food is always amazing, the wait staff is always very warm, and attentive. 😋☕🌟 Everything on the menu is delicious. I love their Horchata Iced Coffee, and my wife loves their Cafe Lechero. 🍹🥛🍰 They also have some of the best donuts I've ever had. 🍩😋👍

First of all, this place is pricey for the cold not to fresh food they served with out a drink included. I placed an order of torta de barba and my fiancé a pirata taco we got there in less than 5 minutes and another 5 minutes back home, we couldn’t finished it due to not to fresh and flavored is not as seen in the picture and compare to other similar restaurants never here again waste of money for an awful experience food taste! People go use your money somewhere else! Don’t make the mistake I did, or end regretting it.

Visited this past Sunday for the first time. I enter the restaurant and was not acknowledged, I didn't know if I had to just seat myself or wait for someone to give me a table. Finally, someone who was not a worker tells me that I have to check in with the hostess. After being seated, our waiter took our orders and I asked him about the Michelada that they have on the menu, he tells me that he needs to check to see if they have all the ingredients to make it and get back with me on that. Well, he never got back with me on that. In fact, he hardly got back with me on anything. I saw him attending everyone in the restaurant except me. I had to flag him down so that I could pay. I asked him if I could just give him my card or if I needed to go up to the register to pay and he told me he could take my payment, which again he never did because he was too busy helping everyone else except me. So finally I stood up to pay at the register and he then sees me and takes my payment. It's sad because I would have probably tipped him great since I had just gotten a nice bonus at work and was in Brownsville for a last minute trip. The food was good, but sadly because of the lack of service I won't be back.

Disappointing Breakfast Experience at a Supposedly “Mexican” Restaurant

Breakfast with the family should feel warm, welcoming, and seamless—especially when the cuisine is Mexican, a culture celebrated worldwide for its hospitality and customer care. Unfortunately, this restaurant completely missed the mark.

From the moment we sat down, the experience was a test of patience. It didn’t matter whether you ordered from the front or back of the menu; everything seemed to take an eternity. For a breakfast setting, this is unforgivable—especially when you have hungry kids or elders in tow.

Worse still, the basic tenets of service were neglected. Tables weren’t cleaned regularly, leaving used napkins and other remnants of previous diners. At one point, we resorted to tidying up ourselves just to have a decent space to eat. Requests for items had to be made multiple times, as the staff, while friendly, seemed entirely unfocused and untrained.

What stings the most is the betrayal of what Mexican hospitality is supposed to represent. In Mexico, we pride ourselves on making every customer feel like a guest in our home—valued and cared for. This restaurant failed spectacularly in embodying that spirit.

For a family breakfast, this was a disheartening and frustrating experience. A restaurant like this should reflect the warmth and efficiency that defines Mexican culture, but sadly, it didn’t even come close.

1/5 stars. Breakfast should never feel like a burden.

I just ordered a Caldo Tlalpeño to go and I was super specific about “no cheese”. I repeated my request twice. The bowl even says “no queso”. I reheated my caldo and a cheesy flavor came up. I have an allergy to cheese and now I have to deal with the consequences of it. I won’t recommend this place if they don’t know how to even follow a simple order just as “no cheese”.

Firstly my spanish isn't great, but I try. We went through the drive through to order after a 30 hr road trip, the cashier over the speaker either didn't speak any English or simply refused to. I then tried to request my order in spanish which I believe to be understandable ,to which she responded with the exact same question in spanish for a third time, almost as if it was a recording but it was not. We then had to wait hangrily in the drive through line just to leave. Terrible experience and we will not be returning.

Muy desagradable experiencia esta mañana. Esperamos por una mesa para 3 personas y nos ofrecen una mesa para 2 personas donde no cabía una tercera persona. Pedimos esperar para otra mesa pero cuando era nuestro turno en una mesa que ya se nos había ofrecido pasaron a una familia de 5 personas. Hicieron una mesa donde caben 4 personas para cinco personas. Esperamos por más de 45 minutos para que no se nos atienda cómo se debe y sea solo para sentar a mas personas y que nos quieran sentar donde ellos quieran y comer incómodos. Se entiende que hay que esperar pero que no respeten tu tiempo y tu comodidad es otra cosa.

The meat in the tacos was cold. Overall all the ingredients like the onions and chiles were just little small pieces as a decoration. I'm very disappointed. The food used to be hot and freshly made. Not anymore.

Buen dia !!! Por razones ajenas a mi tenia que adquirir un paste (el cual no era para mi ) no me gustan se me hacen secos y empalagosos y porque sali de una cita medica y ya era hora de mi almuerzo decidí comer hay para no perder mas tiempo
La comida sumamente salada pedi unos huevos divorciados norteños que ademas traian la salsa enseñada muy poca …quien les dijo que se le da sabor a la comida con pura sal, igual las salsas saladisimas … y picosas las salsas son para dar un toque a la comida nada mas termine con mi boca escaldada por la sal y enchilada por las salsas que ademas te sirven una miseria , servilletas te las dan contadas tienes que estar haciendo bolita cada servilleta para no tener que hablarle al mesero a que traiga mas … las tortillas donde venían los huevos montados super grasosas, el te que a todo tenia sabor menos a te sabia a agua de la llave ahora tambien el plato donde sirven la comida uno retangular super incomodo para degustar los alimentos o al menos un almuerzo no…salí con mucho enojo del lugar la relacion precio calidad deja mucho que desear no acostumbro poner este tipo de comentarios pero hoy fue el acabose

I was disappointed by the restaurant for being a so-called bakery / Mexican restaurant they don't have fresh floor tortillas, the beans are black beans, and not everyone likes that .their breakfast menu, many consist of Chilachilles. And few to none, traditional mexican dishes..
A lot of people praise the restaurant for their food presentation and coffee, but that is about it. Over rated Mediocre resturant. I would not recommend.

Lugar perfecto para un café entre amigas, recomiendo probar el café lechero con su respectivo pan dulce, mis preferidos la mano de piña, el chongo y una de sus especialidades la concha delicia, sobre sus platillos tengo mis preferidos enchiladas rojas, el caldo de res y las flautas son riquisimas, y sobre el trato conozco desde el panadero hasta su gerente siempre super atentos a preguntas y dispuestos a darte el mejor servicio 5 de 5 estrellas

Everything was incredible! The food, the service, the place, everything is a 10/10. Karol, is absolutely the best worker this place has. She has a wonderful personality and makes you feel very invited, she’s super attentive, and just about the nicest person I’ve ever met. If you choose to come here, which you SHOULD, definitely ask for her. 10000000/10!

With several visits under my belt, this restaurant is a solid Brownsville location. The coffee is strong like a roadside dinner, but taste like gourmet roasted. The food is good and the dessert is delicious.

Worst service. Went through drive thru to order a simple torta with only avocado and was told I needed to wait 20-25 minutes! Because they said the dine in orders come out first so there is no purpose of having a drive thru. Lady at the window was a smart a$$! Laughed and slammed the window while I was talking! Never going back and making sure no one in my family does either!

Dining at Super Cream was an outstanding experience. The inviting atmosphere and friendly staff made us feel welcome right away. The menu offers a variety of delicious dishes; the filet mignon was cooked to perfection and incredibly flavorful. The recommended red wine was a perfect match. Ending our meal with the chocolate lava cake was a delight – rich and decadent. Super Cream truly deserves five stars for its top-notch food, service, and ambiance. Highly recommended!

i ordered drive thru & asked for a torta & enchiladas with fajita on the side, the lady asked me if i wanted chicken in the enchiladas & i said yes & even asked me what type of meat i wanted. they had us park for an HOUR just to receive no fajita & no chicken in my enchiladas. i called & asked & the lady said they never charged me for the meat so i said it was fine & on the receipt i was charged for the chicken in my enchiladas but yet had no chicken in them either. The food was good but they should do a better job with the drive thru

This is a good place to stop in for some uncommon Mexican food. In addition to a nice variety of baked goods, they offer good choices of dishes you will never find in a regular Mexican restaurant. The service was ok considering they were not very busy. The food was slightly on the cooler side but tasty. If you're looking for something more traditional, this place will please you.

Que les digo!!!? La atención al cliente con un "ahorita ,espereme un momento" "no hay mesas,debe esperar en aquella area". Y el buenos dias?, "en seguida los atendemos" brillo por su ausencia!. Vamos a la comida... Segunda vez que pido un caldo,quise ver si esta vez tenia mas "suerte" ya que el caldo tlalpeño de la vez pasada estaba echado a perder si literal y aunque hice el reclamo ellos solo dijeron "ahi disculpe". Pense que era un caso aislado y se les pasó. Ayer pedi un caldo de res, el plato era grande ...Pero solo traia un hueso y con un diminuto pedazo de carne, traia solo calabaza y zanahoria y dos pedacitos de papa,el elote estaba FRIO!, asi literal,por lo que me di cuanta NO hacen caldo tradicional que lleva por lo general Repollo,Cilantro,Tomate,Cebolla y en algunos casos otras verduras como apio morron y chayote. Se ve que todo lo tienen aparte y lo calientan en el micro, el elote solo lo echaron del refrigerador asumiendo que con el caldo caliente se iba a calentar,pero no!, mis dientes literal se destemplaron al morderlo despues del caldo!. La gente como yo que trabajamos todo el dia y a veces ya no queda tiempo de ir a preparar alimentos tenemos la expectativa de ir a un lugar y encontrar algo bien para comer sin importar incluso el precio con tal que sea agradable despues de una larga jornada de trabajo!. Yo se que es un negocio y las ganancias son importantes pero el servicio que ofrecen tambien lo es !!!. El lugar es accesible y muy bien situado,espero que tomen cartas en el asunto. Gracias!!! .

This place is a let down in regards to customer service. Before the pandemic we tried it and customer service was non existent. Took forever to be seated and food wasn’t that great. Since it’s been several years since we last visited we figured we’d give it a go again. Well, it was the same. Called in our order said 20 minutes would be the time frame. Showed up to pick it up well within those 20 minutes. Walked in and go to the counter and lady said be right with you. Took 10 plus minutes after to finally have someone come up asking me if I had not been helped yet. I say no. Mind you they weren’t busy there were several servers standing around. Lady comes back says, “They always do this.” That right there was irritating. Then they ask for my name, they bring my order and I ask to add sweet bread. They say yea and I ask how much. Everything was $1.99. That is ridiculous for sweet bread. $2 for a concha, a biscuit, and gordita de azúcar. This place is horrible! This place is BEYOND expensive, horrible customer service, and horrible attention. Never again!

Honestly, the food was just ok. I ordered the chilaquiles with egg on the side and bacon. The salsa they use was bland, no real flavor. The presentation was very nice, but would definitely not order that again? The coffee (cafe lechero), it was ok too. The service, I know it was a busy Sunday morning but the waiter never stopped by to ask if i wanted more coffee or water. So, it was just ok.

Who ever says this taste like homemade food I feel sorry for your momma 2 out of 10. Food took an hour, milanesa plate,(wasn't milanesa it was fajita battered and fried)tacos AL vapor(soggy tacos), and a kids chicken nuggets plate (Tyson dinosaur nuggets)with 3 drinks no refills came out to 52$ over-priced. I gave it a 2 just for effort. Never again. My behind hurts with this one.

I honestly thought the food was going to be delicious, but that wasn't the case. It's not that it was bad either it was more that everything needed salt. All the ingredients were there but a bit of salt would've definitely gone a long way. I believe the main focus here is bread and coffee. The cakes and sweet bread are usually great but it wasn't the case for food.

En menos de una semana pedí para llevar 3 veces caldo tlalpeño y las 3 veces me lo sirvieron diferente.
Una vez muy caliente y con arroz blanco y muy rico
Segunda vez tibio y con arroz rojo y duro, no muy agradable
Tercera vez con mucho trocito de aguacate y amargo.
Y todos los pedidos sin chipotle y sin papa

First time at this restaurant. Place was ok. The atmosphere was bearable. Music was a tad loud to carry a conversation.
When ordering, our waitress was always in a hurry to leave. You have to give her the order quickly. She was walking away before I finished talking. That’s rude.

Now for the food.
My burger was not cheap. The menu says it’s a 1/2 lbs burger with all the fixings. When I received it, the patty was no more than a 1/3 lbs. The bun was two times larger than the patty. The only fixings were lettuce and tomato. No mayo, no mustard, no ketchup.
The chicken suizas enchiladas were ok. Too much lemony seasoning. It over powered the taste of the chicken.

The service was not to my expectations.
This was my first time coming here and I may not come after this. I’ve had much better service at much smaller establishments than this.
This place needs better trained waitresses to wait at the table and listen to our order without being hurried.

Very great service. Don't remember the servers name. but our experience there at super cream was excellent. Definitely recommend. Will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu.

The waitress, Michelle, made our family time very unpleasant.
Her attitude was truly unacceptable and management couldn’t care less!
I did not eat my meal after a 50 minute wait.
Too expensive!

Cafe lechero was perfect for the coffee aficionados.. strength can be adjusted to taste, and it was a great little video worthy presentation. Desayuno Cuatro Estaciones was delicious. Bocoles Surtidos hit the spot and reminded the hubby of Mexico querido. Quesibirria tacos just missed a bit of flavor, but the crunch made up for it. Very well kept cozy spot and clean restrooms 👍.
Friday brunch with a bit of a wait but not too disappointing and definitely worth the short wait.
They can get pretty busy, so we had to remind our waitress once we were ready to check out.

I had the beef tacos al vapor and my mom had the bocoles which we know as "gorditas". The food came out quickly and was delicious. The portions are large so we asked for some to go containers. My mom also ordered some sweet bread to take home.

Muy rica la comida, la atención del personal suuupeeeer amable, excelente ambiente, comida deliciosa, la única razón de quitar una estrella es que el piso está súper húmedo y resbaloso 😩 va muchas personas mayores a este lugar y niños, incluso cualquier persona podría tener accidentes por lo resbaloso del piso, la humedad que genera en el día el lugar hace que los pisos siempre estén así de peligrosos, yo en tenis resbalé dos veces pero no caí al piso solo fue un resbalón pero no quiero pensar como le va a las de más personas, deben poner atención en este dato súper importante los dueños por favor 🙏🏻

Our waiter was excellent, but we requested to move to another table, since there was a huge party next to us. We got another waiter and she was NOT happy to serve us, bad attitude, and our previous waiter was sweet enough to take care of us, even though she was not allowed to serve us because our new table was not assigned to her. She was the one who managed to get our orders through because the other one got it all wrong. VERY DISAPPOINTING, but we were lucky for the sweet waiter who took care of us.
