ANNA'S MEXICAN GRILL LIMITED

Anna's Mexican Grill was a nice little restaurant.
You are greeted with a soft visual environment of rustic wood a rock wall with water feature.
The chips and salsa were good. Salsa had a very nice flavor and a very slight touch of heat.
The service was attentive and pleasant.
They do have a nice variety of meals that are outside of the overused regulars.

We live close to this restaurant and really wanted it to be good. A few years ago we tried it and the service was terrible and the food was mediocre. We decided to not go again. However, we decided to give it one more try a few months ago and something has changed. We had such a positive experience that we now go almost every week! Not all the servers are excellent, but at least two of them are above average. We always ask for Rita. She is an amazing server! The food has improved also. I love the fish tacos and Toto's queso is wonderful.

Great food at a great price. Service is spot on. The cooks are really good. Tried several different meal items - each time we clean the plate! Cozy atmosphere - hard walls create a high noise level. Booths and tables are in good shape. Always clean.

We have enjoyed Anna's for kanchipuram many times. The food has been consistently good. Not a very busy restaurant and although we receive good service, staffing seems to be on the light side. Brisket tacos are edpecially good and the bean doup.

We came based on the number of recommendations on Nextdoor for the margaritas. We got there and totally ended up just getting tea. The place was dead! It serves us well though! Talk about AMAZING over the top service! We never ran out of tea or chips and salsa. The food was fresh and hot. The food was also full of flavor. You could just about taste everything ingredient in the salsa. It also had a nice slow burn so you have a chance to eat and taste it. We will certainly make this a regular place to eat!!

Anyway, the reason for star deduction is FLAVOR. The food is lacking it! We were expecting a little spice, a little flavor, SOMETHING. It started with the Queso, I had to close to my eyes to see if it even tasted like anything. It didn’t even taste like cheese, so I mixed it with the salsa (the cup of queso is $6, might as well make it work). The salsa tastes great by the way.

I ordered the Pollo crema and the Elote as recommended by other Yelpers, same issue. The flavors were so bland, even the cilantro rice barely tasted like cilantro. I was expecting more of a Tajin flavor on top, it was paprika. Maybe the food is old and has been reheated? That is the only reason I can come up with as to why the flavors are SO muted. My husbands Carne Asada was $21 and he was very disappointed with the lack of flavor on his steak as well. He didn’t even take any to go and the waitress asked if it was okay since he left so much on the plate.

In conclusion, we spent $80 tonight and I won’t be returning for this food. Those sopapillas, the salsa and tortilla strip soup are the redeeming items here. I was super surprised with the tortilla soup, it was divine!

I really don't like to leave bad reviews, especially a one star review in this economy where everyone is just trying to survive. I have been a customer here for quite a long time and had noticed the decline but this last meal was only fit for the garage disposal to eat. I always get the same thing, queso and chips with two cheese enchiladas. I eat the chips and dip first and reheat the enchiladas the next day. I drain any extra grease on a napkin. I could tell there was a lot of congealed grease in the container so I grabbed a paper towel. It soaked the ENTIRE half sheet and still was so greasy! I couldn't get it to not be oozing grease!! I ate a bite and it was gross. I fed it to the disposal and tossed the other one.

I really tried and wanted to like this place, but the food is just so bland.

Ordered mix fajita nachos. Beef and Chicken tasted like they needed some spice, salt, pepper, marinade, something! I think if they just did a little tweaking, would be amazing, but definitely was very disappointed.

Staff was great, just work on the Mexican flavors! I’d be willing to try again.

I love coming here on Mondays for the $5 margaritas. I’ve tried a couple things on the food menu but I’m mainly here for the ritas! This is a cool tucked away spot that you must visit!

It was quite Monday evening. I mean you could hear whispers. It was good music inside. Families. Seniors. Young Couples. Everyone having good times.
Good Enchiladas. Good Margaritas both Frozen and on the Rocks. Free nachos with Salsa. That salsa sauce was good.
Waiters and Waitresses were good. Bilingual. No issues with either Spanish or English.
Would go back again.

I have the Ad Pages app, and in that app was a coupon for Anna‘s Mexican Grill. The coupon was for half off a second entrée. In our case, that would have been nine dollars off. When I presented this coupon to our waiter, he came back and said that was only valid before 4 PM. As you can see from the picture of the coupon, nowhere does it state the time restriction. We asked for the manager to come to our table. She brought over the coupon from the paper ad pages, which had the time restriction. Again the ad on the app does not have that. She would not honor the coupon. Instead we use the 15% off coupon which ended up being a discount of $5.40. For just $3.60 more she would’ve had a guaranteed repeat customer. Now I’m not so sure. Poor, poor customer service!

Been twice. The first time, the food was outstanding. So we went back a few days later. Food the second time was ok, that is to say normal Texmex. Service was awesome both times.

Have been going to Anna's for years on a weekly basis ! Always the top notch service , food , and Margarito's each time we went!!!
6-8 months ago, we were not able to go weekly and when we went back about 2 months ago, the food had deteriorated to a very mediocre status, service the same unless we got Anna Karen as our waitress and she was the only reason we kept going there as she is awesome. Last couple times, we were not able to get Anna Caren as our waitress and the service was severely lacking!!
The Margaritas have gone downhill as has the food and after the second attempt to get the food and service we had become accustomed to, we once again failed!! Margaritas have very little taste and food is fast food at best if even that ....
So kudo's to waitress, Anna Karen as she is always great but the deter oration of the food and margaritas will make us think about going there again after 5-7 years of regular weekly visits!!
Time for management to review their changes in the menu and the weakening of their margaritas and get back to what made them so popular....

2 star is edible. If you want to eat at Denny's with a Mexican theme with slow service.. Anna's is your place.
H.H. house margarita was ok. Service was very slow, I was the only person there. Chips about the same as Frito Lay's store bought. Hot sauce very bland, tomato soupish.
Cheese Quesidalla's were cold with a bland and tough white cheese. The guacamole and Pico de Gallo were not freshly made, you can buy them at local grocery store.
The fork, knife wrapped thin paper napkin reminded me of Dennys.

The prices are very high for the quality of the food, they put too much salt on everything but the food has not flavor, we’ve tried it 3 times and the quality is just not there for us, not much flavor, the flour tortillas are the ones you buy at the store that are hard, same with corn, almost 20 for two tacos that were just ok, we wont be coming again, service is great but that is it. 👍🏼

This place is great! Luis behind the bar is a great bartender and server. The wait staff is attentive and friendly. I can't get enough of the frozen margaritas and the lettuce wrap tacos! The chicken in the lettuce wrap tacos is delicious and the cilantro lime rice is great! Monday is half priced margaritas!

We went to relax from crazy Friday at work. We ate Queso con chorizo with 2 Top shelf margaritas. Margaritas are flavourful & they don't scrimp on alcohol. Food is spicy & tasty! My hubby is gluten free/celiac & didn't get sick after eating. We've eaten here 4 other times & no I'll effects either.

My son had the steak and eggs. He raved about the steak's flavor and this time, it was actually cooked to his liking. I had Abuelita's Tacos and they were scrumptious. We go often. Of course, there are times you might have a snafu but the majority of the time, it's on point.

This is our new favorite Mexican restaurant. First, the homemade tortilla chips are exceptionally good. Deep corn flavor yet light and crispy. Paired, with their fresh salsa, it's delightful.

We've been three times and the food has been excellent each time. The beef is tender and juicy. Everything is flavored to perfection. So far, nothing has been bland.

The service from the staff has been very good. They always ensure we get refills of drinks, chips, and salsa without having to ask.

We are very impressed and can't wait until our next visit.

We love going to Anna's! It has become our "get out of the house" dinner place since moving to the area. The service is excellent and everyone is very friendly. The food is great and we have enjoyed everything that we've tried. Their frozen margaritas are definitely a favorite as well. Can't say enough good things and I'm always quick to recommend to anyone.

Have been here many times. Last night I noticed that Anna's Mexican Grill, charge a Alcohol Tax, on top of the Sales Tax. This tax should be paid by the business, to TABC, and should not be the responsibility of the customers. I don't know if this is something new, but it still bothered me. I guess I will start looking at my tabs a little closer from now on!

We LOOOVE Anna’s! It’s the perfect place to meet family or friends for happy hour and dinner! The amount of margaritas to choose from is staggering but I always get a swirl. It’s a one and done situation for me. The food is pretty standard Tex mex, but every single employee is the nicest individual. We never wait long to be seated, even with a big group. It’s a size-able spot and in a cute shopping area. We are big fans and we will keep going back!!

NOT happy at all. We had lunch at this restaurant with a number of women. While a few were pleased with their meal, some of us were definitely not. I ordered the Jorge Salad with chicken. The salad had barely any (oil/vinegar) dressing: I asked for more dressing and was brought a different, far-too-spicy dressing that I could not eat. (I did eventually find a bit of the oil/vinegar dressing on the bottom of the plate, definitely not enough for an entree-priced salad.) Worse: The chicken was hard, dry, way-overcooked. I tried to eat some, but it was truly inedible. As other ladies were getting their glass of water filled, I had not been given a glass, so asked for one. Eventually, a glass came, but they didn't bring me water. My table mate asked for tea: It didn't arrive till we were finished and ready to go. My bill was initially incomplete, and had to be corrected. Others had small issues that they can let you know about if they choose. All in all, not the end of the world... but no lunch for me that day and I would suggest waitstaff take good care of patrons or you may lose them.

This place never disappoints! I love coming here! I would eat their fajitas everyday if I could. They have a nice smokey taste and the presentation is always beautiful. Their slasa is so good- not too spicy, but lots of flavor. Not to mention their fabulous très leche cake which is out of this world! I highly recommend this place and once you try it, it will be your new favorite place.

We have eaten from Anna's menu several times. This time we ordered fajitas from the catering menu for a family gathering and were very pleased with the quantity and quality. Tons of the freshest guac, salsa, tortillas and chips too! I would only recommend they cut up the grilled veggies into smaller pieces and separate them from the meat when packaged for take out. But other than those small things, I'd highly recommend if you have a need for catering, of fajitas at least. (Unfortunately, I didn't take photos in the activity of preparing the meal.)

I first want to say the food was absolutely amazing. However I leave the 2 star review for lack of good service. I sat at the bar at around 5:15. The crowd was pretty light. The bartender did take my drink order upon arrival however for about 20 minutes he did not acknowledge me so I could order food. After a certain point I had to grab another waitress to get a menu and only then did he acknowledge that I wanted food. I was also upset that couple next to me who arrived after me got their order taken before me and also received their food shortly after. I had to wait an hour to get my food after ordering. I waited so long that I even tried to just leave because their was no food update. I am very disappointed.

My wife and I stumbled across this place at random one afternoon. The staff was friendly and helpful; the interior clean and not loud (the lights could be a little brighter; I could not read the menu without using my phone flashlight - not a big deal), and the menu had a great variety of options and reasonable prices. I got the spinach and chicken enchiladas with sour cream sauce, which we split, plus a side of refried beans. What impressed me was how fresh the food was. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and will be back to try other menu items.

Update: We've been here about three times since our original visit - the latest time with friends. In every case the food has been wonderful.

Believe all the posts on here about rude wait staff and female manager on duty! We were there at 11:00 today for lunch and they were clearly upset that people were there at opening time and waiting to be seated. It is the holiday season, so you should be ready to go at 11:00. Manager never approached the people! She and the rude waitress have to be related to the owners, because they are literally running off customers, while they keep their jobs. We left and went to Gloria's and that is where we will continue to go. We left at 11:08 and they were still not ready to serve customers. This is the RUDEST DUO at any restaurant I have ever been to.We Will NEVER be back or our friends that have been treated the same way by these 2. It is a shame because the food is good. The other wait staff and the male manager is superb!

Pros:
The service was super attentive and speedy; anytime our glasses were empty, a server (or even a manager I think) refilled them within 1-2 minutes tops, which was awesome. Great job y’all!!

We’ve been looking for a Mexican restaurant in the area that has great chips, yummy homemade tortillas, and excellent fajita meat, and so far haven’t found it yet :( We’re from Houston, which has fantastic Mexican food.

I ate there for lunch and will not go back. The tortilla soup was warm at best. I had Beef fajitas and they were burnt and very tough. My wife had fajita chicken nachos and they had absolutely no flavor to them. The wait staff was very nce and polite is the only reason I gave them 2 stars.

I always enjoy what I order here. It's tucked away in a shopping strip so hard to see. They have a room in the back for larger parties for a little more privacy which is nice. I was glad to find out they have a brunch menu with great options plus $3.00 mimosas.

My wife and I always choose Anna's when we decide to eat out. It is always a great experience and food is prepared with great care. The staff is outstanding and the chef is so consistent in what they do that you know exactly what to expect. We feel like we are family when we go here. It's completely relaxing. Try it you will not regret it.

We judge lots of Mexican restaurants by their chips and salsa. I know lots of people like different kids of chips and different kinds of salsas, but to us, Anna's is one of the best.

The restaurant went above and beyond accommodating a dinner for a sizable group after my Dad’s funeral. The wait staff was on point and the kitchen served delicious food - thank you!

We went to Anna’s Restaurant to have a nice and relaxing dinner this evening. It was the worst service we’ve experienced in a long time anywhere. It’s a shame because we’ve enjoyed their food in the past to go. We could clearly tell our waitress wanted to wait on a local table that she waited on and must get good tips on previously. We could also tell from some tables around us, that they felt the same way. It’s a shame that the restaurant was hurt by the one waitresses service. Honestly, even though my daughter lives very close by, I don’t know if we’ll ever be going back to their restaurant. It’s a shame. Think twice about going to this restaurant.

The food was pretty good. Nothing that stands out and makes me want to come back but it was good enough. The thing that was so bad was the service. Both times I've been here the service has been terrible and incredibly slow.

The food is very good Tex Mex. It's not mouth watering, but the service is above average for today's times. BUT Straight up! Margaritas are on point. Take it from some one whom is a daily drinker. This place rocks.

Food was good. Service was HORRIBLE! there was only 3 other small groups there and I think the waitress came over three times the entire time. I ordered a pineapple rum punch and I'm not sure if there was even rum in it. It tasted like all pineapple juice. Would go back for the food...maybe.

Good food, served warm, with good margaritas. I wish the bar had more interesting decor and ambiance as weikecto sit at the bar but the vorner was not inviting. We will go again to eat and drink at a four top. It is large enough to have musicians, dancing, and a party; but this is Bedford/ Colleyville. Not much is offered in the 'burbs.
