This place is a small mom and pop Mexican restaurant. I had the birria tacos 🌮. They were ok. The meat was chunky in them. Should have been more shredded. My buddy had the chicken chimichang. He said his was good. The salsa was really good. The atmosphere is very basic honestly. The service was great. No waiting for anyone.

My wife and I have had Mexican food across the USA. This place was very good, very unique. Nothing like we've had before! Huge portions also. I got the hot burrito. Perfect heat so much flavor. So much chicken. Wife got the beef chimichangas so good. Staff is so friendly.

Most authentic, best tasting menudo I’ve ever had, and prolly all time best in all of houston area! - owner is almost always here working, and is so sweet!
Very clean place, with relaxing atmosphere

Good food at a decent price!

I got the Queso Burris Tacos and I will tell you, these were great! I was worried they wouldn’t be enough but they were definitely a good portion size.

The only downside was restaurant is on the smaller side and service was a bit slow.

Worth checking this place out!

I absolutely love pepe's restaurant, the place is family owned, the food is authentic...the salsa is the best. And they play great Tejano music for added touch!!! I order the sour cream enchiladas! 😋 the ladies are always nice and the place is really clean and kept up!!

My first and last time ever coming here! I got 2 things from here. I only purchased a taco dinner and soup and they up charged my card extra just because I use a debit card. The lady told me each thing was $14.99 each. If you want to spend all your money on something that’s not all that come here!

So I had ordered four asada tacos and 2 asada burrito and some asada nachos. I received corned beef where it was falling apart instead of the meat that I had asked for. When I called to ask the lady I did not want my money back I just wanted her to explain why I did not get the meat that I asked for. She wanted to be argumental with me on the phone about it. But I will never go here again if you are not getting the food that you are asking for.

It's just a small off the wall place in Laporte, Texas.. The food was good. I got the Three Enchilada plater did not really care for the cheese Enchilada.

I'm very glad I stopped in to this place. It's absolutely a lovely atmosphere and it would be a great place to bring a date or two. Food is fabulous, service is lovely, and it has a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. Totes will go again.

Their burritos will easily feed more than one person. I was starving but could only eat 1/4th after having chips/salsa. Their red and green sauce are both good! Meal took a bit long to come out, but they kept chips/drink available and were very friendly, I didn't have to ask for anything, they checked on me, which means a lot!

Food and service was very good. We arrived there about 5pm no one there since it was our 1st visit we were a little skeptical but, then the place started filling up quick. I ordered fajita nachos they were really good. My husband ordered beef fajita quesadillas they were also very tasty.
If your looking for good TexMex look no farther if your in the LaPorte Tx area.

The food is very good, and you have a lot of options to choose from. It's a small cozy place, and the ladies are very sweet. We enjoy having a quick lunch here some days. It definitely seems like a local hang out for some people which gives it a very welcoming feel. Great staff, great food.

Spend $30 on food, and they give the smallest cup of salsa, and when you ask for extra salsa they want to charge you another $5. Then the woman at register gives you an attitude for asking for the extra salsa. First and last time that I come to this place.

I love Tex-Mex, Cali-Mex and Mexican food. I understand that there is so many variations to it, but never ever has it made me sick. I ate 3 bites of my enchilada and wasn't able to stomach it. The rice I spit out. The queso was a red flag because you shouldn't get that much for 6 dollars - turns out it taste like carnival nachos except without even any flavoring. No Jalapenos, no salsa, nothing.

Both my partner and I got sick and we ate different things entirely. We moved to LaPorte from Pasadena over a month ago and every Mexican food place has been a major let down. This was the worst because it had an aftershock.

Food was just coming out as I was coming in to pick up, order was all correct as well! They actually give you enough chips when you order their salsa. Everything tasted good when I got home and was still hot! And their sweet tea is great! And the lady handling the checkout was super sweet

We tried this restaurant tonight for the first time, and it will be the last. We placed a call-in order, and the food was not good at all. The rice and beans had a sour taste to it, and the worst part was finding a black hair in the food....no one in our family has black hair! We will NEVER buy anything from this restaurant ever again!!
