Wow. Incredible place for such a small environment. Starting with only the weakest things first, the drinks are very good. The sauces they bring to the table are powerful and add a lot of flavor but truly unnecessary unless you like spice. The cheesy beef birria burritos and tacos are phenomenal. I almost didn't take a picture because it smelled so delicious.
The meat is tender, seasoned, and perfectly cooked. The rice is unbelievable. As a big fan of cheese I can't get over how well the tortillas tasted without dominating a primarily meat-based burrito with cheese flavor. A Mexican bottled coke and gigantic burrito is an easy way to win my heart, but every employee was also sweet, attentive, and so polite. The atmosphere was friendly and fun, lots of couples and families there and their tiny bar was always making new drinks. Would absolutely recommend.

Tonight we were craving something different and when we say the Birria ramen on the menu, we knew we found our dinner spot. We ordered quesabirria tacos with rice which was very tasty and the meat portion was generous, chips with salsa and queso which the chips alone were so good. They were crispy and tasty, I love the tortilla flavor. The queso was thick and the salsas were all delicious and spicy. The Birria ramen was good but it could’ve used a bit more ingredients. The Mexican coke was a nice additional treat to wash down our food. I can’t believe that we’ve never heard of this place, it’s definitely going to be added to our rotation of spots. Good food is not easy to come by on this side of town!

This establishment is very clean, and everything was stocked, Los Marquez Tacos is a casual counter serve spot. I ordered their daily special, 2 tacos, rice and beans with a fountain soda. I got chicken, it came with sautéed red and green peppers, onion, plenty of chicken, what felt like homemade corn tortillas and cilantro. No cheese here, which felt more authentic. Ordered via Door dash… I will say I was expecting to have to re heat my food
This food was PIPING HOT!! I had to separate the tacos to let them cool off so I could pick them up 🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼🤌🏼 The ingredients were FRESH and GREAT quality!! They did NOT SKIMP on any of the ingredients! I even got a lime for each of my tacos 🌮 🍋‍🟩 FINALLY an AUTHENTIC Mexican place!!!!

Per 6/19 spontaneous DoorDash order: Absolutely blown away with the quality of this place. Vastly exceeded expectations to the point I wanted to pick up the phone and call to speak to the manager/owner to sing my praises. Let’s start with the Beef Birria Ramen that my wife ordered, just wow! Bursting with flavor and incredibly delicious. My carne asada tacos were not only the best ordered to date anywhere in Texas but the closest to how we prepare at home: freshly made corn tortillas, tender and perfectly cooked meat, grilled onions, and even the add-on avocado was a proper quality portion. You could taste the difference in the homemade salsa cups provided as well. The torta was equally amazing which I’d note, even the bread was fresh, legit, and the right amount. Haven’t even tried the desserts pictured just yet but again in shock in the best way possible - this is easily and instantly now our new go-to favorite. Compliments to the owner, chef, and team, you all absolutely knocked it out of the park and have new regular customers/supporters!

Hidden gem out 205 near the Tom Thumb. This is my first time in this little delicious restaurant. They have a beautiful patio, which we chose to dine at. You will place your order at the cashier. Mixed adult beverages like margaritas are available. I ordered 2 grilled shrimp tacos without rice and beans. They give you a number and will bring out your order to the table. The margaritas were delicious along with the two shrimp tacos. Very fresh and seasoned perfectly. Very nice place to dine at which has a wide variety of delicious options.

We’ve been loyal fans of this taco shop since their humble beginnings as a food truck in what felt like the middle of nowhere. Watching them grow into a beautiful, brick-and-mortar restaurant has been incredible—and they’ve managed to elevate everything while keeping the heart of what makes them so special.

The restaurant itself is stunning—far nicer than what you’d imagine for a taco shop, with a warm and inviting vibe that makes you want to stay awhile. And the food? Absolutely top-tier. Tonight we were craving something different and when we say the Birria ramen on the menu, we knew we found our dinner spot. This establishment is very clean, and everything was stocked, Los Marquez Tacos is a casual counter serve spot. I ordered their daily special, 2 tacos, rice and beans with a fountain soda. Quesabirria tacos are pretty good. I would like for the tortillas to be a little crisper. Consume has good flavor. Rice is two thumbs down. They really should offer chips and salsa with an order. Having to pay extra is silly.

Food was bomb! It was the perfect weather to sit outside. Space was a little small, hence why we sat outdoors.

Great customer service. Everyone was super friendly. Next time I'm back in Rockwall, I'll stop through again.

I definitely will not be back. The service was awful, the food okay and when I asked for more red sauce, I was charged. This wouldn't have been so irritating but WHEN I placed it, I requested extra. I went to my car and realized there wasn't any! I went back in and the cashier offered two and had me pay almost a dollar for each tiny container that was about a third full. This could have been mentioned when I requested extra upon placing my order!!!!!!!! To top it off, I do believe the owner was standing there. 😳

Service is so lacking these days that when you get great service you never forget it and likewise, when the service is BAD!!!!

Ordered the Quesabirrias plate. If you haven’t tried this you need to. These were soooo good.
The place was pretty busy but they were keeping up with the rush.

Inside, the seating area is small. In this Texas heat, all the tables were taken. They do have outdoor seating but nobody was sitting outside 🥵🥵🥵.

I am recommending this place to family and friends to try out. Especially the quesabirrias.

It had good amount of meat in tacos and Burrito.
Tacos were not crunchy.
Rice was not cooked/ under cooked.
Lime was dry and not fresh.

This is the best option for casual Mexican food in Rockwall. Don’t waste your time at Chiloso, Chipotle, Qdoba, etc. The menu here has more options, there’s better service, the food is 10/10, and pricing is great. The Thursday Quesadilla plate special is phenomenal.

Hello,

I live a couple of blocks away from this taco shop and I really like the food. The food is great, and I understand that sometimes things can happen.

This is not the first time something non-edible has been in my food, but when it does happen, I like to report it just in case someone else has the same experience.

I'm sure this rubber band came from the grocery store or market they use to get their cilantro or vegetables. This is the only explanation I can come up with.

I doubt this will happen again, but please, folks, make sure you check your food before you eat it!!!

This restaurant is in a quiet little nook of Rockwall, and I believe it's a hidden treasure. The food is excellent, the prices are reasonable,and the atmosphere is great. Although orders are placed at the counter, you choose your table and place your number. Your order is brought in with excellent service and attention to detail. They are extremely friendly and I highly recommend it to everyone

First time at Los marquis Tacos. I had the Asada quesadillas. They were hands down the best I have had. The meat was very tender. The flavor was just right, not to over done and not under down. The hand made tortillas were to die for. I probably could have ate my weight in those.

The atmosphere was good but the restaurant was smoky from cooking and it irritated my eyes a lot.

I will be back for more but may chose to sit outside!!

We gave this place a chance on Uber Eats, and the Birria Ramen was bland...not very good. The Birria tacos were good, but there was a problem with our order the second day ( yes, we ordered 2 days in a row, April 27th and Apr 28th spending over $150). Spoke with Iliana, who told me she would offer a discount on our next meal (which I kindly recorded in my Samsung Notes).

Needless to say, she reneged on the discount because she couldn't REMEMBER the transaction.

1.) Even McDonald's has a code or a book for instances like this where you can redeem a discount and improve on the quality and experience. Not try to rely on the manager's memory.

2.) If you gave me your name and another manager/owner's name as an identifier for my redemption, then YOU should know something went wrong and I'm doing exactly what you advised me to do to order again.

I wasn't seeking a REFUND from my April 27th order with Uber Eats (...very poor active listening skills). I was literally trying to give this place MORE MONEY and another chance while using the discount SHE (Iliana) offered ME! If you have to convince people to take your money, it's not the option for you. Egg on my face for sure.

Listen, the food isn't that good, and there are TOO many options to go through this type of B.S. If you're going to be bad at business and mediocre at food quality, just DON'T go into business.

People, save your money, your time, AND your ⛽️!

This was our first time trying the restaurant and didn’t even get to try the food. Me and my family walked onto the patio to sit down. My daughter had a happy meal, she brought with her, as she is a VERY picky eater and has food aversions. As well as our baby, her baby food/snacks. I was walking in to the restaurant to order and the owner/manager, not sure, stopped me and said “I’m sorry we don’t allow outside food.” And I said “oh I’m sorry, my daughter can’t and won’t eat here unfortunately. So does that mean we can’t eat here?” To which manager/owner proceeds to state “no yall can not.” My husband and I were shocked. We got up and left, of course. We then saw the sign at the door that states “no outside food or drinks in the facility.” I don’t expect special treatment for my daughter at all, we didn’t see the sign, until leaving, but I also would not expect to be kicked out from the patio dining for my daughters having some chicken nuggets and baby food. If anything, a suggestion to throw the food away or put it in our car instead of being kicked out. Sucks because we were very eager and excited to try very close to home food.

Guaranteed to mess up your DoorDash order.

It’s too bad that the owner Iliana is unwilling to provide service to her customers. A DoorDash order was completely erroneously filled. I contacted DoorDash to rectify the situation and also contacted the restaurant so they could remake the order. I heard one employee tell another one that he input the order wrong to the kitchen. Then another employee spoke to me and found my original order; he recited it perfectly. I asked if they could remake it and I would come pick it up. The owner Iliana then told me there was no way for her to relocate the original order, which was obviously not true since her employee Nathan had just located it using my name and the order time. Why could Nathan relocate it, but Iliana couldn’t? She refused to remake the order and allow me to come pick it up in person. She said it had to be corrected through DoorDash. I understand that they had to handle the billing with me but the restaurant ultimately needed to recook the order and she refused to re-make my order claiming she couldn’t locate the order. What a shame that an owner provides an inferior experience than a frontline cashier. Do not order DoorDash from this location because this has happened numerous times and they clearly don’t have an automated process to get your order to the kitchen. It is clear that employees see a DoorDash order then type it into another system leaving room for human error and the owner took zero accountability for this issue.

We arrived minutes before 10 am. Breakfast is over at 10. The front attendant was on the phone, and we waited to be recognized. It didn't happen. There was another attendant by the side putting the salsa in small containers. She noticed the front attendant didn't even look at us to recognize we were there. ( she could say, " I'll be right with you,") so, she said that the other attendant would help us in a moment. We asked her for breakfast, and she replied that the other attendant would help us. We waited. The cookers were looking at us front the back, we say hi, they stared at us. When finally the attendant finished with the other client over the phone, she asked us the pertinent questions we asked for for breakfast. She said it was over at 10. We know that we told her we were there before 10. It's 5 after 10, she said.
We left the place and went to the other side of town to eggquisite cafe for breakfast.
I called and asked to speak with the owner, and she said to always ask for her to have breakfast made if something like that happened again ( especially since it was right on the dot) and they will still honor it and serve it.
It wasn't like they were close. If it was, i wouldn't go so close to closing time. It was going to be my first time, it didn't happen.

I wish the owners well. They deserve it since they have work so hard to open the place.

Anyone looking for authentic Mexican tacos, this is the place. If you're looking for tacos, go elsewhere. Being from Houston, I've found it difficult to find authentic street tacos. Well, I've found it difficult to find authentic Mexican food in general. If you're looking for Tex-Mex, this isn't really the place, my guy.

Took the family to go get some tacos and birria. First off, the service was excellent. Everyone was polite and very helpful, they took care of us! We ordered 4 of the birria ramens, pastor tacos, birria tacos and the kids plate. All the food was delicious. We especially like their orange salsa - it's hot enough but not unbearable. The birria is delicious and the consome was good as well. Im not a huge fan of the birria ramen type food, but that's besides the point. The birria is good no matter how you have it. The pastor tacos were also good and would order again. Atmosphere was quiet and serene. Price point for tacos was a little high. We will be going again!

Victoria' meat market in Royse City has 4 tacos, rice and beans for $8.99, better bargain 😋

Went today 12/29/23 @ 3pm and spent $65 on lunch.

Pro's:
Great location on 205, clean and friendly staff.

Cons:
Tacos are drenched in cilantro and purple onion, impacting the flavor of the tacos.
Birria, tasted old and dry.
Carne asada, dry and flavorless.
Al pastor, was on point.
And, I paid separately for tacos as I combined the flavors instead of choosing 1 meat, ridiculous.
Chicken quesadilla was inundated with onions and bell peppers.

I'm used to going to the taco place on 276 in Rockwall or La Victoria meat market in Royse City and spend half the price. Heck, even Chipotle offers fresher foods and ingredients.

At this time, I am not impressed and this is a great place for gringos who don't know any different.

I will not be returning.

Offer a combination plate at a slightly higher price instead of price gouging for individual tacos. Meat from today was not fresh, cook less, but ensure its freshness. Fresh food will take time and anyone who knows will understand this. Ask the consumer if they want onions and cilantro in their tacos. Ask the consumer if they want all the fixings in their quesadillas.

I’ve been craving authentic Mexican street tacos and I had the 3 pastor tacos and they were delicious! We also tried the cheeseburger and fries, and that was great too!! I will be coming back to try more 😍😍

Great service, great food and I will definitely be back! Everything made from scratch and you could tell by the quality. No freezer or microwave in this place and the owner is present. Oh and the Tres Leches Cake OMG!

Chicken tacos has a weird citrus flavor absolutely disgusting.queso is generic average taste chips were on the burned side.rice was pretty good they also had some amazing Barrio tacos.overall there a okay place to eat 5 out of 10

They made me feel very unwelcome. Even vandalized the window of my truck with tape. The food is very disappointing. I hate that the previous restaurant there, was traded for such mediocrity. I will not be eating there ever again.

It's good. Birria Ramen is pretty good, tacos a pretty good. I would say the only negative is not carnitas, and they mostly use WT people protien.

Wasn’t too impressed with the Barbacoa tacos and elotes, which is all we ordered. The elotes had a lot of butter with very little cream. The Barbacoa was a roast type beef. I’m used to the authentic cachete that’s used as the meat. Place looked nice though and staff was very courteous.

Extremely good street style tacos. Barbacoa, Al Pastor, and Birria tacos were all excellent. Great tortillas, tender meat, and the al pastor in particular had a great pineapple flavor to it. Salsa verde also very fresh with a nice kick

The chorizo and cheese tacos were incredibly small for $4. Tasted good value isn't there.
The barbacoa soaked through my tortilla.
The red salsa was a salt bomb. Green was good.
Birria Ramen was fine. Needed a bit of spice and salt.

I never knew this place existed until my daughter wanted to have lunch there. It's a small restaurant and they do have a place outside to sit, I found the food enjoyable and would go back again if asked.

I was excited to hear they had opened their restaurant. I has eaten at their food truck a couple of times and had really enjoyed their food. I was not disappointed!! I got the birria taco plate...so good. I will definitely be back and next time I will bring my husband. I would of taken a picture but it looked and smelt so good I couldn't wait.. Went on a sat night driving around looking for a restaurant. My fiance told me we should try this place it's always recommended in the Garland page. So we did staff was very helpful and friendly. Food was on point . I think we have found our new taco spot.

Outstanding tacos, burritos and fajitas. This owner operated business grew out of a food truck to this location due to popular demand. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

I love each of the tacos, but most people especially love the birria tacos! They are super delicious.

The line moves quick, and you can sit inside or outside. The chips and salsa, guacamole or queso is unique here, extra thick and crispy.

Absolutely recommend Los Marquez Tacos!

Good tacos, I understand that they are kind of like street tacos.. would love the option of a little pico. Still good and would definitely visit again, would like to try the birria tacos. Friendly associates, let me know that the 3 tacos were their special today which I appreciated rather than letting me purchase them separately.
