The food taste of the food is good but super greasy as you can see in the picture. The service is very slow. Place is very small and sits are not comfortable.

The food was okay. Presentation is really nice. The charro beans were really good, the crab cakes were okay. The mangonada margarita was not good, we returned it. The carne asada was really tough, the knife they gave me wouldn't even cut it. We were sat in a booth with a speaker right above us and the music was really loud. Overall it was okay. This isn't a place that will be at the top of my list to return to.

Restaurant is very clean and we were seated right away. Our waitress, Angelica, was excellent. The food was very good. If you’re looking for good Tex mex in stephenville I’d say this is the place to go!

we went out to try a new place, it felt comforting and they sited us fast. they did get my order wrong but they apologized and quickly fixed it. Also my friend specifically asked for no picadillo and they still added it to her plate. I got the tacos of carne asada and they were pretty big, nothing bad yet again nothing too special about it. The tacos were kinda cold and the salsa wasn't spicy but still good. I would come back and maybe get something different next time.

This was our first time to eat here. The queso was really delicious with the chips. I got the steak fajitas and they tasted like that cheap plank steak at HEB with no flavor so I told the waiter I didn’t like it and it didn’t taste good and then he was acting really awkward towards me after that for the remainder of the time there. My mom got the enchiladas she liked them and my daughter got chicken fingers, she ate them so I guess they were alright. I definitely would never order the steak fajitas again, the manager never even came by to see what happened but took it off bill.

It was chaos in there. Just don't go on a Sunday from 11-3 we (2people) got there at noon and was told a 14-16 min wait, it was an hour and 10 min before we got to sit down. Then our waiter had no clue what he was doing. Our tea was hot and our cups had about 1/2" of ice in them. I was very disappointed that the service has gone downhill. Food was ok. I got Fajitas and it was so dry and tough due to being overcooked. Just disappointed

Came in from out of town and went here as my family wanted to go. I ordered the milenesa de rez and was given what is basically equivalent to a breaded piece of beef jerky. It was so burnt and over cooked it was inedible. There is no way that whoever put it on that plate didn’t know what they were doing and they should frankly be embarrassed they served it. I’ve eaten this before at other restaurants and know what it’s supposed to look like. The waitress was nice and did a good job but I won’t be going back.

Server came to the table way too much. Order was wrong and server questioned me when I told him it was wrong. Wife's food was cold. My correct order took forever to come out. They are charging 2.99% for using a credit card. Sorry, but that is the price of doing business.

We went here based on the reviews and was very disappointed. We were seated at a dirty table. No one came to our table for at least 15 minutes. The silverware was not clean. The temperature inside was extremely hot. I was sweating the entire time.

Service was extremely lacking. The server was nice but it took entirely too long to get anything done. The food was okay, nothing different than you can get anywhere else, with better service. Also ordered drinks which I was not impressed with, I don't even think they mixed them.

I honestly hate leaving a negative review, but this place left such an impact, I felt I needed to. We will not be going back.

I ate lunch here on Sunday night. My bill was 18.69, with a tip. I even saw it charge that amount to my bank account. However, now I was charged 25 even on my bank account. I’ve tried to contact them several times and no one picks up. Considering the food also made me sick that night, its extremely disappointing - especially since, until now, I’ve loved Azteca’s.

Bar drink special was excellent...prickly pear margarita.
We enjoyed parradilla special. We'll be coming back! The bar has great atmosphere.

Pay with cash or you will pay a credit card surcharge. You only find this out when you get the credit receipt. Disappointing.

The food is outstanding!!! The bar staff are less than attentive, they let people’s dishes pile up on the bar until there is barely room to set your drink down, it’s super frustrating, you wait for a long time between refills, and the bar tenders don’t seem to care at all about the cleanliness of the bar it’s self. The food is amazing and the wait staff on the floor is top notch. The bar is the only major disappointment. This is my experience on multiple occasions.

Honestly it was not bad but then again I wouldn’t place it in the top Mexican restaurant’s in the area. Some of the sides like queso blanco and the chorizo was spot on. I dined on the Baja tacos 👎 twice I had bones, the cabbage wasn’t crunchy & the Mexican rice was bland. Our mixed drinks were superb. Our waitress was nice and took care of us.

Azteca catered my son and daughter in law’s wedding in Granbury. It was fajitas with all the fixings. It was delicious!! Many, including myself, said it was the best beef fajitas we’ve ever had. The servers were courteous and friendly. I would definitely recommend Azteca for your catering needs or to dine in. I can’t wait to go through Stephenville on my way from San Angelo to Granbury to visit my son’s family so I can stop and eat at Azteca.

Went in with friends for an early dinner. My first time at this location I had the ground beef enchiladas and they were very good. The location was not overly busy as it was early. The chimichangas were very good as was the steak Azteca. The server was very good, attentive, and prompt. The food was very very good. There is handicap accessibility with wheelchair parking. There is a bar with plenty of alcoholic beverages with Specials. Location appears to be very clean. Very good experience. I will return when in the area.

The service, the great tasting food, and the noon time ambience remain very good. Great place to eat.

This place is very hit-or-miss. When it's good, it's good...when it's bad, it's bad.
Tonight I ordered my pickup order through DoorDash, but it was still a "self-pickup". I waited until the estimated time that the app said my food would be ready. It was approximately 4pm when this occured, so it was not a busy time. I arrived. There were several employees around the front. Several would look at me but not greet me. I understand it was also shift change time, but it was a bit ridiculous in the lack of care from the employees. When I finally was greet about 10-15 minutes of standing my the front counter, the girl asked what I needed and I stated that I had a pickup order and gave her my name. She went to the back and took approximately 5 minutes to still come back without my order. She then said "oh, it should be under my account let me just cash you out". I had already paid through DoorDash so wasn't super clear what she meant, but I went with it. She then did somethign behind the counter and went back to the kitchen for a 2nd time. This time she was back there for approximately 10-15 minutes. She finally came back with my order, but then gave a sassy remark about how it was a doordash order. yes, it was however right below the door dash logo had my name....in pretty big font. At this point, I was standing there for close to 30 minutes and all this time only 1 employee had approached me, but many were just looking.

If that wasn't enough, the order was messed up. I was hungry and frustrated so just waited until I got home to check the order (yes, I know...ROOKIE mistake). I did not receive the sour cream I asked for and the food was not made how I asked (I asked for soft corn tortillas and was given flour), also the food was cold. Maybe if she wasn't messing around in the back, my food would've at least been warm. I live in town so it would not have gotten that cold just from the drive from the restaurant.

Service was absolutely horrible and the food was barely edible. There are definitely better places in town.

Parrillada mixta is very good, and service is always great. They are very attentive to you and will ask you what is needed. This restaurant is my favorite and the chips with salsa have a place in my heart. The enchiladas are also very yummy. 😋
There’s a reason this is the BEST mexican restaurant in Erath County! Y’all deserve all the awards 🥳🥳🥳

Drove too far to get poor to middling service.
Beware of shortchanging too because if you pay cash, they round your change Down to the nearest dollar. My bill was $21.64, they will only give me $8 instead of the $8.36 that was my actual change. Had to go to the desk and show the bill to get it back.
It's not the money it's the principle!

Food was good, service was good and friendly. Only 2 reasons I didn't give a higher rating is the loud music and people. I like music that I know what's being said I don't understand Spanish, and it was hot. The combination gave me a head ache. If I eat from there again it's gona be door dash. And eat at home.

WOW! They nailed it!! Everything was spot on. The service, the food, and the service. It looked crowded but we were shown to a table right away. We ordered drinks (GREAT!) food (also GREAT!) and we had very good service. It was a Thursday for dinner so I don't know if this was typical but if it was, well done!!!

I called over and over again about food that needed to be remade just now 08/10/2023 and after being told I could come in and be taken care of I was refused service and the manager this night didn't keep their promise. Great food, Terrible tasting water (chlorine). The air conditioner never feels like it's working so it gets hot in the restaurant. The reason I gave it one star is because of the terrible tasting water that makes your soft drinks taste terrible as well and the restaurant gets so dang hot. Don't get me wrong The food is excellent. But I do not like eating in a sauna.
